Mariah Starr comes from humble beginnings.
She’s worked her tail feathers off.
And her dream is now at her fingertips.
Goals require sacrifice.

He’d rather hang out on his boat all day.

That doesn’t mean they like it.
Or each other.
Someone also once said, “There’s no escaping destiny.”

Two individuals who don’t think they have “time” for a mate meet and try and deny.
Watching these two trying everything in their power to stay away from each other all the while, while still keep an eye on each other was fun to read.
I understood Mariah’s desire and drive but her single minded focus did get old. I was glad to see she came to her senses.
Mariah is planning on opening her own shop and that is how she meets Patton.
Parrot shifter Mariah Starr has been building up a business of selling her own handmade toiletries now she is planning to open her own shop to sell her products. After a few delays she manages to lease a property then she looks around for a construction firm to rebuild and fit out the property for her shop. She decides on local company James Construction and talks to one of the owners Jake James but when the time comes to start she finds herself dealing with Grizzly shifter Patton James who is annoying late for meetings and the most annoying her mate.

Loved this book. You cannot fight fate. Neither Mariah or Patton wanted or needed a mate. Mariah has been pursuing her dream for as long as she can remember. She came from pretty much almost as low as you can go and she has fought her way out. And now her dream is so close to coming alive. To bad she has to rely on Patton to finish her shop. You cannot get much more laid-back, relaxed, wants nothing to do with working, then Patton. But his brother has given him a Carpenter job that needs to be done in two weeks. What he wasn’t expecting was to find his mate. They both made it quite clear that they do not want a mate. It was such a fun ride watching them trying to deny what fate had set up. The book was amazing, I loved the characters and had a perfect happy ending.
Mariah and Patton are so stubborn they don’t want to admit they are mates. They have plans and don’t want to deviate from them. This book is funny, sweet, sexy and just an all around good read. I freely reviewed this book.
Mariah comes to the island to rent a store to sell her homemade products. She came from the swamps very poor and determined. Now, at 32 it is about to occur! The bunny matchmaker is at it again…she has her eyes on Mariah to set her up with a man…and she has the single James brother, Patton in mind. Mariah hires James and Patton to construct shelving for her shop. When Patton and Mariah meet, they are mates! Neither wants a mate, especially now~ As the days move forward the two hook up and are beginning to change their minds about many things~ When Patton finishes the job and warns her about her new manager she takes it as an insult so he leaves the island with his brother out to sea. When she is attacked and her shop torn to pieces…the first thing she does is shift into her parrot and go looking for her mate! Does she find him? Can he help her save her dream? Will he get the person who did this? What will happen to her business now? I received this as an ARC and am leaving a voluntary review.
Enjoyable and funny, Changed Mate is a great opposites attract story – Mariah is so driven to make her business a success at any cost whereas Patton epitomizes the laid back, carefree kind of guy. Yes, once they meet, they immediately know they’re mates, but how can they reconcile their personality differences?
Fun to read how they deal with those differences (and fight their physical attraction) and then heartwarming to see how each, in time, learns acceptance of the other.
Changed Mate is the fourth book in the Cybermates series, but reads well as a stand alone. Mariah is a hard worker with her dream within reach when she meets her mate. He’s nothing like she wanted, not that she has time for him anyways, but his easygoing ways are tempting. While their heads say stay away, will Mariah and Patton avoid fate and matters of their heart?
This book had me laughing and crying and just feeling so involved with Mariah and Patton! I loved their romance, their rocky journey, their stubborn wills, and the trials they need to overcome. Mariah has been so driven by her dream, is a bit of a control freak, but the more time she spends with Patton, she realizes that she’s lonely and doesn’t laugh often. Patton avoids responsibilities like the plague, but he knows when to step up when needed, and I loved how his heart slowly became more and more engaged with Mariah! I loved their time spent together, charged with energy and tension and when they finally come together, there’s fireworks! Literally, I swooned with the ending, I adored how everything played out in the end, and I was flipping through these pages and did not want this book to end! I have really enjoyed this series and loved this addition!
Book four in the Cybermates series brings Patton and Mariah’s story. The author once again delivers an entertaining story filled with drama, humor and love. It’s a sweet and sexy opposites attract romance with a hot and steamy chemistry. The story moves quickly and smoothly and I loved reading. I’m looking forward to the next book.

I really enjoyed this book. I liked the different approach this book took to the whole “Fated Mates” situation. Mariah and Patton have huge differences to overcome in this opposites attract romance. I thought the story line was fun and the characters likable. The sparks fly with each clash of words, personalities or battle to resist their intense attraction. A very fun read.
