Outstanding addition to the Exposed Hearts series. Wonderful, real life characters who breathe life into the action packed and suspenseful plot from the very first pages. Loved the storyline, and young Judson steals the show in every single scene. So looking forward to more of these characters and stories!
Good book. Sweet story of how one person can change your life. Teale Delaney a gold medal Olympian
goes to Skagway, Alaska to get away from a cheating boyfriend. She calls for help when her heater
in the freezing cabin she rented does not work and meets Kane Foster.
Before Kane knows it Teale has jumped in his truck and is not staying in the cabin but decides to
stay in his cabin where there is warmth. Well the warmth turns to heat between the two and the
banter between the two makes for a hilarious read. The book has a bit a angst to it with a killer
on the loose. A fun fast read.
Changed By You is one of those books that is a rare find. It will have you sitting there almost constantly with a smirk on your face and then every so often bursting out with laughter. Teale is a character that you wish you could be friends with, this girl stole the show and your heart. Kane and Teale’s story was one of breaking down walls and finally realizing what you really want and hoping it isn’t too late. Their story was witty, sexy and action packed but be prepared you will shed some tears. A beautifully written romance that will have you falling in love with this story and the characters.
So I gotta say I loved this book but I just felt like it went a little long. I mean the last 4 or so chapters could have been shortened to an epilogue. Oh and my other complaint was I was expecting the final scene with the killer to be a lot more and it just fell flat for me. I was disappointed to say the least. I love Kane and how Teale broke thru his walls. She changed his way of thinking and talking. She made him see the good in life and how to have fun again. These two butted heads so many times but it was hilarious. Kane is an all american Alaskan man. He hunts, takes people on hunts and displays his kills in his house. He loves his family hard and is happy when his siblings are. With all boys you can only imagine how this crazy this household is. I mean by the end they were sightly out numbered. I gotta say how funny things turn out. I liked how we got both Kane and Teale’s point of views. Also I liked how certain characters which you thought would cause trouble just faded away in the storyline. I mean Teale was escaping life and her boyfriend when she ended up by Kane. The boyfriend made an appearance and that was it. I liked the element of suspense but unless I missed it, I didn’t know who the killer was.. I get why he was so mad at Kane but it wasn’t worth killing for. This book has some seriously sweet moments in it. I mean the parts with Judson just melt your heart and have some tears coming down. That part killed me. Kane and Teale are just so much fun together. I really did like this book, I just found some issues that’s all.
Lots of feels in this story. A fantastic emotional read. Highly recommend this book and the others in this series!!
This is my first book by this author and now I will need to go back and read the other two books in this group even though this is a standalone. I loved the character development and the dynamics of all the characters with each other individually and as a whole. This book had everything packed in it from the wit and sarcasm of Teale and just her energy towards life, Kane and his Grumpy pants ways, there was a mystery suspense line built in, sadness with many tears and of course the base of it all a love story. The feelings were easy to relate to and this book took me along the full cycle of emotions the entire time.
An excellent read
Changed By You is the final book in Foster Family series. I enjoyed getting to read Kane and Teale’s story. Kane had a tough exterior but Teale was able to crack through to find that he was sweet on the inside. These two characters were night and day. They turned out to be just what the other needed. I’ve enjoyed each book in this series. I have fallen in love with each of the Foster boys.
This book can be read as a standalone. I think it would be more enjoyable if read in order. You will help with understanding characters and past events when brought up in the story.
Kane and Teale’s story may just be my favorite of this series…but then again, I’ve felt that way with each of them. They are written so well, with characters it would be hard not to fall in love with! I have been waiting since book 1 to learn more about Kane…and his story was amazing. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time with all the twists and turns! I loved it and would love of there were more on the Foster brothers!!
Kane is so grumpy….and Teale stumbles into his life in a high maintenance ball of glory. Love builds as this unintentional living situation starts to turn into something more…but as with the last few books, danger lurks around the corner, threatening those Kane holds dear. As with the other two stories in this series, the story line just seems fresh and it flows well. 4.5 stars for me!
I have to say that this book is so far my favorite of the series. I loved the chemistry between Teale and Kane. And I loved that Teale helped lighten Kane up. He needed more color in his life after what happened to him.
Teale and Kane are exact opposites which makes the story a good read. In the story, Teale is more spontaneous and Kane is more reserved. But her zesty behavior and the way Kane reacts to her made the book a good read. Kane is the more complex of the brothers and Teale is just the one to break down his soul. One of the things that I liked about Teale was her funny personality. As a loud mouth, sassy creature, Teale proved to be a good match for the reserved Kane. The book is suspenseful, funny, and eventful. I give it a five.
So happy to have Kane and Teale’s story. I thought the others’ stories were my favorites, but Kane’s story is the best. The chemistry between these two is steamy and erotic. Teale is the woman who can handle Kane and will bring him to his knees. She’s perfect for him. The family and friends are everywhere and I’m so glad we got to see them. I really love the writing and the storyline. Changed by You kept me on the edge of my seat and ready for more with every turn of each page.
I love this story especially Kane and Teale and how they meet and how they get to know each other. This story is funny and witty and there is some tragic. But, I love how its all about love and family and patience as well. I really loved the foster family they are all funny in their own ways and really both so much to the book.
So I read these 3 stand alones a little out of order, they are related characters- 3 Foster Brothers but the stories are separate.
Kane is a tough manly hunting guy who prefers to be alone, swearing he will never marry.
He meets Teale when she pretty much takes control of his truck and cabin, she talks a mile a minute and shoves her way right into his life. He doesn’t know how to react.
I love their banter and inner thoughts. They are the perfect match.
The rest of the Fosters are great can’t wait to read the other books.
Love the towns people as well.
Kristin left me a bawling, sniveling mess with Kane Foster.
Kane had always intrigued me throughout the previous books. Drake was easy to love, Hayden kinda grows on you and Hollis has always been comic relief. But Kane was always the one lurking in the background, never having too much to say or wanting to be noticed. So when Teale shows up and throws everything we know about Kane completely off kilter, we love her immediately!
All she was wanting to do was to get away and clear her head, but when the furnace goes out in the middle of a blizzard, it’s Kane to save the day (he’s looking after the place for a friend). But when she refuses to do anything but leave with Kane to stay warm, it’s all downhill from there for Kane, Mr “I’m a private person and don’t do relationships”.
We’ve all read these kind of stories before, the kind where they weren’t supposed to fall in love but they did. And that is true to this story too but there is so much more to it than just that. For one you have to acknowledge that this is the Fosters and we love Amie and Ike so dearly, we wish they were our parents, so how can anyone not fall in love with the whole family. Add to it, Kane has been working with the FBI on this unsolved serial killer case; and when the killer calls Kane out by name, he does everything to protect those around him he loves. A trip to Montana. A children’s hospital living vicariously through Teale’s stories. One special terminal child who changes this world forever. See? This is far from your normal “I don’t do relationships” story.
Kristin has made me love this family and made me hope for more to come (since the family might expand and all) 😉
I definitely loved this story and it made for such a great ending to this series. I just couldn’t get enough and had to keep turning the pages to get to the end. It was funny, it kept me intrigued and on edge, and the romance was very swoony. Kane and Teale were a great couple. The surrounding characters were just as great as the main couple. Just an all around great story and romance for all the right reasons.
I liked that Teale was a bubby personality and that Kane was more of a loner. She added some color…literally to Kane’s life and helped pull him out of his shell. They had great chemistry and it was a great wrap up to the series. I loved the danger and mystery in this one, and that all the Foster men, and Hollis, got their HEA as only Alaskan men can.
I highly recommend this story. I was so good. The sassyness from Teale and the grumpiness from Kane just cracked me up. I loved it when Teale first went to Kanes home, she dressed all his animal trophies in jewels, scarfs and sunglasses. Teale digs her way under Kanes skin but he loves it. Great book. Excellent read
Great series. This author was new for me I wanted to make sure I knee all the character. I started with first book and went through to this one. Oh my love Kane and Teale’s story. Kane all broody and Teale the talker. Beautifully written bring their story to life.
This is my first time reading this author and series. I instantly loved both of the main characters of Kane and Teale. The characters are flawed and real. Their love for each other is amazing and the journey was
Emotional, suspenseful and entertaining.
The book made you feel what you were feeling with a great storyline. I enjoyed the brothers together and will be starting this series from the
