My name is Jason Hart. As the best defensive lineman in the country, I eat, sleep and breathe football. And I like it that way. I’ve only got a few more years before I’ll have to retire, so expending energy on anything other than football seems like a waste of time. That is, until I have a random meeting with a little boy that just lost his father. We have more in common than you might think and … you might think and it creates an unlikely bond. As our friendship grows, so do my feelings for his mother.
I know Addison, as a recent widow, isn’t ready to date again. But I want to get to know her better, in spite of all her rejections.
Is it possible that I, a self-proclaimed bachelor, could be having a Change of Hart?

Really Sweet Read. This was a fantastic football read, that how many awesome characters. Jason hart is living his dream as a defensive lineman for the Cowboys, he is all about football, doesn’t have room for anyone else until a chance encounter with a little boy Jaxon who worships Jason. Jaxon and Jason share a similar experience and Jason kinda big brothers Jaxon . Once Jason meets Addison Jaxons Mom suddenly football is not all he can think about.
I loved Jason I thought he was cheesy and sweet and I loved all the moments with him and his friend Deuce. Jaxon was adorable and really added compassion to the whole story. Addison I never could connect with her, she was wishy washy most of the read, I think she just lacked to much confidence in herself, some of the thing she would say would be so harsh but then she would turn shy , shes not my favorite. Overall a great sports romance.
This was a cute read. I originally read this back in 2014, and it kind of sat with me enough that every so often I would think about rereading it. That certainly says something, considering I read about 250 books a year, and while I reread many books, they’re always books that I enjoyed the first time. It took me a while, but I gave it another go around.
I really liked that the characters had some personality. The author did a good job of building them up. I liked the plot of the story, as well. Give me a professional football player any day! I wish that the end had been a little more convincing for me. It felt a little rushed, although there is a sequel to this book, so maybe that was the purpose. I’ll know more once I read that!
Good, entertaining, sweet read!
Years later, I’m still thinking about Jason Hart from Change of Hart by M.E. Carter. No lie. The way M.E. Carter wove this story, to be realistic from the way she described her characters to the path the characters’ lives went on made me fall in love with her style of writing within pages. Change of Hart will tug at your heartstrings and make you fall in love. One of my forever top recommendations.
