Devan Dheer lives life as a wallflower. But he has everything figured out, juggling multiple jobs and acing school. Social interaction is his weak spot, but even that can be planned and figured out, like a game of chess. His love life is nonexistent and it’s not like his three-year crush on Leo Griffith is going to become a real possibility. Leo Griffith has had life handed to him on a silver … silver platter, helped by his family’s good name and their money. Unfortunately, that family name is now in the gutter. Things aren’t easy, but he has faith in his luck and in fate. And the fortune cookies from the local Chinese restaurant always seem to know precisely what to say.
When Devan finds out the man of his dreams puts blind faith in the fortune cookies he writes as one of his part-time jobs, Devan hatches a plan to get the school’s star rower to fall for him. They’re nothing alike, but maybe they’ll be stronger for it.

Everyone is familiar with Noah’s PNR stuff, but this delightful gem was a little something different. A contemporary gay romance to satisfy our appetites.
A Story of two young adults in college. One has been crushing on the other for years. These two guys come from very different backgrounds and social standings, but with a little nudge from fate through MC#1’s belief in fortune cookies, and the fact that MC#2 writes fortunes for said cookies, the two find themselves in each other’s paths.
The rest shall we say is history. This was such a fun little novel. I enjoyed the adorkableness immensely! Well done, Noah! More please!

Can fortune cookies be like our Horoscopes? Devan is developmentally socially arrested. He knows he needs to work on his issue. He has been crushing on Leo, like forever! Leo grew up with a silver spoon which became tarnishedby the hijinks of his relatives, then fell out of his mouth. Leo’s quirk of believing in his fortune cookies’ fortunes may be his salvation. Devan, manipulates the fortunes Leo finds hoping to provide leverage to jump start their relationship. Neither man is of sound character, but there is room for growth. Nice story. Good cover art. An adorable idea gets these two guys together. To me, this was an inventive twist on the unrequited love trope. I particularly liked shy, industrious Devan, though he does pull a no-no move at a party out of frustration and jealousy. But his error makes him less perfect and more relatable. A really good read.
I have read and enjoyed many of the author’s paranormal m/m romances and really liked this change of pace.
I read a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest review.
I really enjoyed this non shifter romance from Noah. Devan and Leo, both have beliefs and insecurities and the way this book was written we get wonderful insights to both characters.
You have got to grab this book! I normally don’t like college age books. Too much angst, horny, drunk students, and no depth. This book broke the mold for me. Yes there is a little angst & horny students, but the Depth is there in both the characters and the story. You will feel like you know Devan and Leo personally. You can understand them. You may have even been them. That’s what makes this a great book. Nerd and Jock, what’s not to love. Oh yeah, the sex is great, but it isn’t the focal point of the book. By the time you get to the sex, it seems so natural, not forced for the sake of convenience. It Means something.
Grab this book. Read this book. You will be glad you did. I hope you love it as much as I did.

A sweet, entertaining well-written MM contemporary romance about two well-developed & interesting characters that are completely mismatched & have total complete opposite personalities.
There is: a shy young geeky man (Devan) with multiple jobs has his eyes & heart on a popular & apparently straight man (Leo) then he decides to do something to get his man, some twists, drama, humor, secrets, family issues, friendship, one-sided attraction, devious contemplation, determination, memories, anticipation, warnings, humiliation, anguish, misunderstandings, apologies, denial, jealousy, deceit, confessions, manipulations, accusations, conflicting emotional feelings, confusion, regrets, some steam, love, happiness & a wonderful, sweet epilogue
This book immediately pulls you in and will not let you go. You laugh and cry with these characters as they learn to grow and love each other. You see definite growing pains in both characters but love shines through. There is a HEA and you will root for this couple throughout.
