I knew this internship would change my life…Thirty days ago, I received an internship with a design firm in L.A.One day ago, I kissed a hot businessman in a swanky bar and then left him with a fake name and number.Today, that sexy stranger is my new boss, and he’s not too happy when he finds out my real identity. But that doesn’t change the fire that lit between us and now I have six weeks of … now I have six weeks of trying to resist Brody Jensen.
He might be out of my league, but I’d be out of my mind not to give in to the chemistry threatening to consume us.
I know Brody is breaking the rules for me, but he’s not the only one.
Because I swore I’d never fall for the type of man my mother always warned me about— a man who is married to his job.
Too late.

Book 2 in the Change of Hearts series. Loved this addition to the series. Brody and Peyton were so good together. When he first saw her from across the bar, he fell in love with her. She was what he was looking for too bad she lied to him and gave him a fake name and number. She never thought she would see him again until he turned out to be her boss. Great office romance. It is a bit of a slow burn romance but once they do admit their feelings, it is so good. Loved it and with each book that I read of hers, I fall in love with her work and her characters more and more. Can’t wait to read more of her work.
LOVED! Wow! I was sucked into this book from the very beginning – I could not put this one down! Brody and Peyton’s story was amazing! Brody was so swoon-worthy! He knew he wanted Peyton and didn’t stop until he got her. **Sigh**
I loved everything about this book! FIVE STARS!!
Sierra Hill is an amazing author who creates storylines that intrigue us and capture our attention, and characters that pull on our heart strings, who we will never forget. “Change in Strategy” is the second book in her Change of Hearts Series, where we meet innocent intern, Peyton and successful businessman, Brody.
It was love at first sight for Brody when he spotted Peyton across the crowded bar, and she was in awe of his good looks, kindness and sexy smile. Her mom told her not to fall for a handsome man in an expensive suit, and because of this, Peyton had shielded herself from relationships, which kept her safe from anymore heartache and despair. She really didn’t like living this way and she had worked very hard to overcome her personal demons. Peyton’s future looked bright and she couldn’t wait to begin her career in the fashion industry. She wanted to open her heart to the possibility of love, but why did her new boss have to be the same man who had ignited feelings inside her that she thought didn’t exist? What crazy trick was the universe playing?
Brody prided himself in being nothing like his father who was a womanizer and had a different wife every few years. Brody’s job was his life, with little time for anything more. When he met Peyton, he knew she was special, the chemistry instantaneous, and he had to see her again. He was certainly surprised when she showed up in his office as his new intern. He made it a policy to never date an employee, but how could he survive the work day with Peyton in the building? Could he possibly keep his hands to himself?
Change of Strategy by Sierra Hill a five-star read that you wouldn’t want to change. This is number two in the Change of Hearts series but they can be read as stand-alone as although they pop up in each other’s stories they aren’t integral parts and you wouldn’t get lost not reading them in order just the usual spoilers. This was such a compelling story, it was light, fluffy and hot enough to keep you hooked, but there was also a underling current of Peyton’s history and how it shaped her into the woman she is now, it was so well done and never have I ever been so interested in the men’s fashion scene I am normally more interested in removing it than them wearing it.
Ok… I’m from LA. I grew up in Alhambra. I would go to downtown LA all the time. To eat, shop and of course when I got older to party at some of the nightclub/ bars. My friends and I would ditch school all the time (I know… how bad of me! lol) to go to the fashion district. And the fashion district wasn’t a place you wanted to take a late/midnight stroll around .
When I read that part… when Brody and Peyton went to a park somewhere in LA at night. I kept thinking… scary!
Anyway… this book was ok. This book touches a little bit on domestic abuse, verbal abuse & bulimia/eating disorder. Pretty heavy topics. It doesn’t go full on with the bulimia. But it’s definitely mentioned.
The relationship between Brody and Peyton was ok. I just felt Peyton could of loosened up a bit.
I definitely struggled a bit with the writing style of this author. The way she writes… she seems older. Some of the ways she describes things… to me doesn’t sound like a person of that age (main characters) would talk like that. It kept throwing.
Over all… this book was ok. I’m really looking forward to Kyler’s story.
I really loved this office romance! Peyton has had a very troubled youth. But her future looks bright when she receives an internship at Brody’s company. She didn’t expect her boss to be the guy she left two nights ago with a fake name and number, although very attracted to him. Sparks fly between them, right from their first meeting. I liked how this story developed, and also the dual POV and the epilogue.
This review is based on the audiobook. I enjoyed listening to both narrators. They did a great job.
Another great read from Sierra Hill! Brody and Peyton are such a great couple. My only issue with Peyton was her always jumping to conclusions about things and automatically thinking the worst in Brody. But then again given what she was exposed to growing up and the fact that she had very little experience with men, it actually makes all the sense in the world. But these 2, together, made an awesome couple! And I fully enjoyed every second I got to spend with them!
Change in Strategy was my first Sierra Hill novel. This office romance had likable, relatable characters who had intense chemistry, a deep emotional connection and a back and forth banter that would hold your interest from beginning to end. The story was fast paced and flowed well and the author tastefully discusses some heavy issues including domestic abuse, eating disorders and alcoholism. It was emotional, steamy, passionate and witty. This is the second book in the series and I loved that the characters from the first book made and appearance. I enjoyed it and would recommend it to lovers of contemporary romance.
This one is so sweet and a light read, was the thing that I needed in the moment, love the characters and the story between them, hope to read more books from this author. The situations and the characters blends perfectly and made it a worthy read.
I really enjoyed Brody and Payton’s story. These two together were a good fit, the pace was fast and the story itself was a strong one. I know it kept my attention until the end.
Peyton is a great female lead. She has been through alot in her life but she is trying to move on, and get her future set up. She moves forward with getting an internship after college with a major design company. But as always life does not always go as we plan.
Enter Brody who has alot to prove, or at least he thinks he does. He is all work and no play. He wants to have the best design firm out there. But one night he takes a chance. One that involves Peyton. Little did they both know that their lives would change from their encounter.
I really enjoyed the characters, the pace, and the growth of the relationship. They do have chemistry, obstacles thrown in their way, but the journey was a good one. I would highly recommend this book.
Change in Strategy is another wonderful story from Sierra Hill! The romance between Brody and Peyton was incredible and I was invested in their story right away. From the moment they met in the restaurant and had sparks fly when they shared their first kiss, I knew this story was going to be special. They both have their reservations about whether to pursue anything once they discover each other’s true identities, but a cross country work trip definitely changes everything.
I just loved everything about this story and I highly recommend picking this one up!
Change in Strategy is book two in the Change of Hearts series. It can be read as standalone. I loved Peyton. She’s in LA for an interneship. She’s young and when she meets a cute guy that she has a connection with she gives hm a fake name and number. That cute guy turn out to be her new boss. Peyton has trust issues and isn’t looking for love. Brody doesn’t want to be a womanizer like his Dad. He is pretty focused on just his work. He has an instant connection with Peyton but he isn’t happy to find out she’s his new intern. I loved these two and their story.
This book had so much heart. This story took me on a rollercoaster of emotions and I went from one end of the spectrum to another! I loved this story which at times pulls at your heartstrings and makes you fall more in love with these characters and everything they go through. We all want to be loved for who we are and that what you get from these characters. Totally unputdownable and a must read. Also a phenomenal book by a fantastic author. Go grab your copy today. Happy reading everyone!!
I was so bummed that I wasn’t able to tear through this book like I normally do with Sierra Hill stories. The last few weeks have been completely topsy turvy and it took me way longer than it should have. I’m always pulled into Sierra Hill’s sweet and sassy worlds. She’s able to create characters that are so real feeling. Brody and Peyton are people that I felt such a connection with. Hill always gives us dimensional people. There are inner struggles, doubts and fears that both Peyton and Brody struggle with. Then we have that connection… between them is fierce and so fun!
I love me a good office romance and this one was such a delight with the witty funness between the characters, the chemistry that is combustible, and this lovely tug of war that kept me eagerly waiting to return every time I had to pause my reading. It wouldn’t be fair if I didn’t mention Sierra Hill’s sweet and sassy writing! It’s always my favorite thing about her books. She’s sweet as pie but has a nice kick of lime or lemon right at the end… it keeps you on your toes. She’s able to balance a real feeling romance while still transporting the reader to another time… a break from your everyday life.
I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that… my opinions.
I LOVE a great office romance and boy, did Sierra Hill deliver! Change in Strategy is the story of Brody and Peyton who had instant chemistry that was off the charts! I love how real these characters feel, how deeply invested you get in their story. The banter, the work/personal relationship and the sexual chemistry between Brody and Peyton will have you reading this book from start to finish! I truly enjoyed this story and highly recommend it!
A fabulous book from Sierra. Another amazing book. No spoilers from me but you will definitely not be disappointed with this book. I just loved reading it and couldn’t put it down, yet again. Another must read xx
A perfect insta lust turned love story. I was hooked from the beginning till the end of this book. I absolutely loved the characters and the storyline was brilliant. I loved the way the story unfolded and had some twists I wasn’t expecting but wasn’t disappointed in. Absolutely fantastic.
Peyton has had a bad childhood, a drunken mother, an abusive stepfather, and it has taken its toll on her, but, she has fought back and is winning! She lands an internship at one of the leading men’s fashion companies in L.A! The day she walks into the the CEO’s office is the day she realises the man she shared the kiss with the night before is her new boss!
Brody is enamoured by Peyton, she maybe younger than him, but she is bright and has her head screwed on! He wants more with her but is conscious of the fact that he is her boss!
When they go off for a conference in New York, things go one step further, but things happen and Peyton puts two and two together and comes up with five, her past is catching up with her, and her own lack of self worth takes her towards a path she doesn’t want to revisit, can Brody get to her in time or will he be too late.
I loved this story, it is written well and I didn’t want to put it down.
Peyton didn’t have it easy growing up and has trust issues. So when she meets Brody a gorgeous guy the night before her internship she gave him a false name and number thinking she’d never see him again. One problem he is her new boss. This is a well written story with likable characters and a great story line. I loved the way this author brought the characters together and how perfect they are for each other. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series.
Brody and Peyton’s meet-cute was pretty cute and a little funny. I really enjoyed how both characters were set up. Brody was hard working and treated everyone well. He had that sexy yet sweet combo that I love. I also loved his dog! Peyton was extremely talented but a little jaded/scared. She was also courageous and loyal and I love those qualities. I liked the forbidden aspect to the relationship, but the honesty part was refreshing. There were a lot of layers to this story and I loved it. I loved Kyler and the cameos that were in here, as well.
