Carolina is opening a book store, but that isn’t the biggest news on Chancey’s Main Street. Why in the world would an upscale coffee shop be opening in the old junk store? Why would a fashionable young woman who’s been on TMZ be moving onto Main Street? Who’s the guy taking over Carolina’s bookstore and at the same time moving in with Patty?
Fun book but seemed to drag without much excitement. I wasn’t excited to get back to it.
A good look at small town life and problems of everyday people.
Love this series.
I love this series. Quirky, fun characters.
I love the whole Chance series. Fun reads.
I enjoy the Chancey series. Easy to follow, entertaining….fun characters!
I’ve read other “Chancey” books so I was familiar with most of the characters. I usually read murder and crime mysteries. This was a great “get away” book with some amusing characters. Easy reading and enjoyable.
Love all of her books.
I’m reading this series but couldn’t give it 5 stars. I like reading series. I like getting to know the characters and feel at home with them. However, I really dislike books that end with a cliff hanger. I feel they are prodding you to buy the next book. I don’t like being prodded. The promiscuity of the young people is very unsettling. It’s like these people do not know how to control their children. I do really like a lot of the regular characters and that’s why I keep reading them.
Boring, lack of character development, poorly written overall.
Nice, calm read. Just what I needed! No huge highs and/or lows, just about life in a small town where everyone knows you and knows your business (sometimes before you know it or are ready to share it). Instead you are getting to know Carolina, wife, mother of 3 and someone you probably would like if you met and got to know her. I think this is the 4th in a series. I read the first and then this one. Makes me want to slip out to Carolina’s front porch, drink some sweet tea, sit a spell, relax and read all of the books.
I tried to read this book without reading the previous books in the series. It really doesn’t stand well on its own. The characters are mostly bland and flat, and there really isn’t much going on. Half way through, I almost gave up. Nothing much had happened and the main character seemed as disinterested in her life as I was. She didn’t care that people kept taking over her businesses, her home, her family. I found I didn’t care either.
I didn’t care for this book no meaning just a lot of words
Kept me wanting to read more about this town and the people who live in it.
Small town relationships continue to deepen and evolve as events impact both personal and professional lives.
It was my pleasure to receive this free book from the author and give my honest review.
Love all her books in this series as well as others she’s written. Enjoy!
Describes several real life situation, but does not tell a love ever after ending.
Okay but not my book of the month
I enjoyed reading about another small town where things don’t always go as planned
Found it a bit boring to be honest.
