I give Chance of Romance by Kylie Gilmore Five Stars. This is book eight of the Happy Ending Book Club series and it can be read as a Stand alone. Keep in mind characters from the other books will make appearances in this book also. I recommend reading all eight books in the series because they are all awesome. This book like all of Kylie’s books, is very well written, it will make you laugh and it make you fall in love with all the Characters. Kylie is an amazing writer and sucks you into the world she is writing about with her words. If you love Friends to Lovers books you will love this one!
Sabrina Clarke is a relationship counselor who takes her job really serious and loves to help people with their relationships. When she receives a wedding invitation from her ex that left her at the alter she decides to write an article discussion people that are commitment-phobes. All of a sudden she is getting calls to do interviews in regards to this article and this not only catapults her practice into the spotlight but it also leads to unwanted and unwelcomed publicity from a competitor who slams Sabrina for being single. Sabrina panics during an interview and claims has been in a relationship with one of her close Friends Logan Campbell.
When Logan hears Sabrina’s statement he is immediately pissed off because it’s not only a lie but it also is going to interfere with his long-distance relationship and possible the deal he is working on for his company.
Sabrina know that in order to fix her friendship with Logan she needs to do damage control but when she meets Logan’s long distance girl friend she knows there is just one thing she has to do and that is to make another stupid mistake.
This is a must read! You will Sabrina and Logan!
Amazing read! It’s fun, sweet, sexy and heartwarming. It will capture your heart and pull your heartstrings from the beginning. I love the characters! I love the connection, the banter and chemistry between the characters. Its sizzling and sexy. It’s an entertaining read and a great addition to the series! I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book.
Chance of Romance by Kylie Gilmore is another wonderful story in this already great series from one very talented author. This authors writing just reels you in, you instantly feel a connection with her characters. A great story that was fun and entertaining with some heart it made you smile even let out a laugh or two. Sabrina and Logan have become friends over time, they have fun and enjoyable lunches together. When Sabrina accidentally says Logan and herself are in a relationship this is where the fun really starts. I absolutely loved this great book it is a humorous and enjoyable read you won’t want to miss. A must read if you love a independent woman and the drop dead gorgeous man she lusts after this is the story for you.
Kylie has made another super sweet but exciting romance story. You think you know exactly what Sabrina and Logan are thinking, but they will have some funny surprises for you.
Logan has been working for years to build his business, and it might finally come to fruition. His bff Sabrina has always been there for him.
Sabrina has come from a chaotic kind of life style, but is starting to have her practice flourish. Can she keep her relationship with Logan in tack with everything going on?
WOW! Loved it!! I was so excited to read Sabrina and Logan’s story in Chance of Romance it was a page turner that I could not put down. I love Kylie Gilmore writing style she uses humor and throws twists in the story. Sabrina Clarke is a relationship counselor who writes a article about commitment phobia people that throws her into national spotlight. Logan Campbell, her friend goes to the morning TV show and Sabrina never corrects the host when she says Logan is her special friend. Yikes! Now they are pretending relationship and Logan then tells Sabrina that he has been dating another women for 6 months. What! Who? You will love reading all the twists, turns and sexual tension of Sabrina and Logan in Chance of Romance. I highly recommend reading it. I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
This was a friends to lovers romance for real. Pure support from Logan and doubt all the same. Commitment, a word many dread but somehow embrace with the right soul.
That is what Sabrina and Logan were, soulmates from lunch to the bedroom. Signs of encouragement and meetings of clarity. This was a great read.
Chance of Romance is another amazing story written by Kylie Gilmore the eighth, in her Happy Endings Book Club series. I really don’t know how Ms. Gilmore does it. Kylie’s books tend to grab me, not letting go until I turn the last page, and leaving, me wanting more. Sabrina Clarke is a relationship counselor and in a moment of revenge against her ex-fiance wrote an article on commitment phobias which went viral. The article’s popularity is giving her an opportunity to be helpful to more people than only her patients. Sabrina hates the spotlight and questions her qualification to be the expert people think she is. While on a guest on a television morning show, Sabrina lies about being more than friends with Logan Campbell starting a fake relationship between them. Logan is all up in arms because he was trying to reconnect with his first love from his college days and she’s all jealous and vindictive toward him. Nothing seems to go right for Sabrina. She has another relationship counselor trying to sue her for copyright infringement, stealing her clients and helping the media spread lies and semi-truths about her. Logan suggests they have a fake marriage which works until Sabrina freaks out. Sabrina needs to figure out how to stop her own commitment phobia before she loses Logan and the life these two might be able to have.
Ms. Gilmore is a wonderful story teller and wrote a wonderful tale in this book. Her characters are relatable, her writing witty and sometimes downright comical. I totally enjoyed reading this book and had trouble putting this book down. I highly recommend this book to other readers.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
Kylie is ON FIRE with this series!!!
I LOVED the previous book. It’s tied for my favorite Kylie book of all time. Now we have a three-way tie with THIS book. Holy. Cow. I tore through this. Couldn’t put it down!
So the broken record part of this review is how awesome Kylie’s writing style is. You won’t find any grammar or spelling errors anywhere, and she injects a “real life” style humor that make these characters just wacky enough to remind you of someone you know.
But don’t let the little chuckles here and there throw you; Kylie writes SMOKING HOT love scenes. I’m talking five-alarm. Add in plenty of “awwww!” moments and ya have yourself a Kylie book.
I liked the honesty between Logan and Sabrina. In the beginning, he didn’t think she was right for him, so he didn’t pursue her. Then things began to change, and I loved reading how Logan gradually began seeing Sabrina in a new light.
I also liked how I had a “villain” to hate! That’s an aspect that, in my opinion, is glossed over in romance novels. Not this one! We had ourselves a jealous, scheming ex-girlfriend. While her appearance in the story was limited, I still loved hating her. 🙂
I also also liked how Sabrina was a strong, independent woman with a thriving counseling practice, her own home, etc. but she was still able to ask for help when she needed it. Or, rather, didn’t ask for it even though she really did need it and Logan saw through her crap and helped her anyway.
I’m ECSTATIC for the next book! And then I’m going to be SUPER ecstatic for Josh and Hailey’s book!!!!!!!
(I was given a copy of this book in consideration of my honest thoughts)
Sabrina Clarke prides herself on being level headed. She has a thriving career and a group of great friends, but one lapse in judgement sends her stable world spinning out of control and her scrambling to save face. Which only makes the situation worst. Enter Logan Campbell, friend and star of her every fantasy. Logan didn’t expect to be drawn into the crazy drama that has become his life and he’s far from happy about it. Just when it seems life can’t get any crazier, emotions start to get in the way. Can a long standing friendship survive the spotlight’s glare? Chance of Romance is classic Gilmore. A wildly, zany good time with tons of heart and humor thrown in for good measure. Entertainment at it’s best.
Kylie Gilmore has given her readers another outstanding book about a member of the Happy Endings Book Club finding her happily ever after ending. Sabrina Clarke has been through it all – a lonely childhood, a nutty family with commitment issues, a broken engagement, & a wedding invitation from the ex-fiancée. Now she’s suddenly thrust into the spotlight & has trouble dealing with it. Being put on the spot has never been her strong suit. When she was being on a show, the interviewer misinterpreted her responses & thought she was in a relationship with Logan. Not knowing he was in a secret relationship, Sabrina didn’t correct her. Things escalated from there. Could their friendship survive?
Logan wasn’t good enough for his ex-girlfriend, Olivia. He didn’t have enough zeros in his fortune. Logan used that as an impetus to push himself & his business. Now his partner & him are taking the big step to find investors & Olivia has connected with him again. She has excuses why she couldn’t connect with him in the past & why things would be better this time. Can she be believed?
I love this group of friends! They are as different as can be but they were pulled together & support each other through thick & thin. They all are finding new strengths as they go through the process of finding there significant other. Each story is self contained & could be read as a stand alone but the characters all make appearances. This serves to bring the reader up to date on their lives along with adding additional depth to the story. Ms. Gilmore brings such emotion to her characters that, as a reader, you find yourself experiencing those same emotions. I felt for Sabrina when you hear how lonely & humiliating her childhood was & how her parents still treat her. The dialogue was at times funny, infuriating, sexy & sassy! I really can’t wait for Josh & Hailey’s story!!
Reading one of Kylie Gilmore’s books is like a visit with old and new friends. The Happy Endings Book Club series is not only about romance, it’s a connection between friends, too. And in each story, a new couple finds love. There’s also a journey of discovering who you are. Chance of Romance is no different. This time, the spotlight is on Sabrina and Logan (Kind of literally, too!!)
In the previous book, there was a hint of a story for Sabrina and Logan. They’ve been friends for quite awhile now. Friends who would sit down and have a nice chat over things. Well, their story escalates here!
Sabrina is a relationship counselor and finds herself front and center after an article she wrote gets major attention. Her inner doubts come into play.
One nervous mistake later, Sabrina and Logan are thrust into the spotlight- as a couple.
But they aren’t.
The fun begins from there.
Chance of Romance is a fantastic, laugh-out-loud journey for these two characters. Friends to lovers is one of my favorite tropes, and Kylie delivered a hilariously sweet and sexy twist on it. I am so in love with this series! Each book focuses on a different couple, but you’ll get to catch up with old friends, too.
Oh and, why does she insist on torturing us with Josh and Hailey!!??
Ready for the next one. And the next, and the next. Couldn’t tell I highly recommend this book, could ya? Because I totally do.
A wonderful story with a HEA that makes you laugh, wince, get frustrated & fall in love! Sabrina & Logan have a rough go in their story! Kylie Gilmore is a wonderful storyteller! The HEA Book club #8 is a must read! It is a stand alone BUT if you’ve read the others some of the background characters make much more sense 😉
Sabrina and Logan became close as they are part of the same group of friends and have their offices at the same building. But they try to boycott their attraction for each other behind theories of misfit. Well, life intervenes in the oddest ways (exes, press, professional rivals, family….) and they get together to face it, still believing they’re just being friends with benefits… Their chemistry takes charge and they can’t stand being apart. Sabrina, being a relationship counselor learns more about herself and her fears throughout it all. Their group of friends appear less in this story and we keep missing Hailey and Joss bickering. I really can’t wait to get to the next books!!!
Wow, everything gets turned upside down in this romance. Who is really the commitment-phobe here? Who is the calm, collected one? Who is actually doing the faking? And who falls in love first? So much of what Logan and Sabrina think they know gets twisted and turned around.
Sabrina has been through the wringer with her family and her ex, and she has made a safe life in which she has control. But she develops feelings for Logan that keep popping out at the wrong times. Her attempts to fix things go haywire, but she and Logan end up in a partly fake and partly real relationship. She gets scared as events go even crazier, and she has to face her biggest fear — being unloved.
Logan is pretty go-with-the-flow. He is happy to have Sabrina as a friend. He is so laid back that he is clueless about his true feelings for her until things are about to drastically change. That said, when he gets into the relationship, he is highly in favor of the real side of things. He wants to be a team with Sabrina, a true partner. He does his best to be supportive and caring, but events do get pretty crazy. I couldn’t blame him for getting a little frustrated with Sabrina.
I read an ARC, and I have written my honest opinion. This is another great book in the series. I have loved the whole thing, and I enjoyed getting to know these characters better.
I have to start by saying I want to join the Happy Endings Book Club. Kylie has written a friends to lovers romance that burns the pages, and leaves you feeling like you want to
crawl into the pages to join in the fun. Logan and Sabrina are sharp, funny, and a whole lot of sexy. Definitely recommend this book.
Down right entertaining, laugh out loud small town friends to so much more romance with a uniquely thrilling twist. Each visit with the Happy Endings Book Club is a exciting and engaging emotional thrill ride and this one is the best one yet.
Sabrina Clarke is a well organized, easy to blush and always in control successful relationship counselor. Logan Campbell is the sweet, sexy, charming and delectable office neighbor she has been lusting after for the last six months and ignoring that lust because she has him pegged as a commitment-phoebe. Their story is filled with passion, longing, uncertainty, family, friends that are as close as family and beginnings with a solid foundation of friendship. Loved it!
