Revenge is sweet
This is book 6 in Dawn Browers’ Scandal Meets lLove series. It’s one of my favorite series of hers. I love the ever medaling/ helping Duchess of Claire. Lady Lenora the wallflower turned beautiful bloom the way she put Julian, The Duke of Ashley in his place was most fitting. Let me introduce myself I’m the Duke of Selfish Arse is how Julian should have introduced himself. But of course he couldn’t because at the time he had no clue who he was talking to. This one was much shorter than the rest but well worth the read.

After that one dance he says some hurtful words to her cousin and Lenora has to discover a way to break out of her shell on her own and vows never to love again. She disappears for two years & no her return Julian takes notice and decides she’s the only lady for him, but he may have already lost his chance of having her love.
A charming novella, which I read in a sitting. Well written with a well paced story. I liked both Lenora & Julian even though he was very arrogant. I liked that he had to work to win Lenora’s hand. A sweet romance

Chance of Love is the sixth novella in the Scandal Meets Love series. I haven’t read all the novellas in the series, but this was my favorite of all the ones I’ve read. It was a short story, but the characters were charming and easy to connect with.
Lady Lenora St. Martain was a wallflower and shy. She falls in love with Julian Everleigh, the Duke of Ashley when he asks her to dance. Later she is devastated when she hears Julian tell her cousin that she was easy to charm and he only danced with her as a favor. She leaves London determined to overcome her shyness and become the toast of the ton. After two years she returns and Julian doesn’t recognize her but he is determined to learn who she is. He was surprised by her transformation and instantly enchanted with her. Now he only needs to convince her that he loves her and regrets the way he treated her. Can Lenora give up her revenge in order to have her happy ever after?
