Chance is book 15 in the Reed Security Series and should be read in order. It is also part of a 3 book arc. Sniper and Jackson need to be read first.Chance was taken when Reed Security was attacked, but he has no idea who has taken him or why. Over the course of a year, he plans his escape, knowing there is one person on the island he won’t leave without. But torture breaks every man eventually … every man eventually and he doesn’t know if he can make it until the end.
Morgan made a deal with the devil to get her daughter back and finds out too late that it was the wrong choice. Held captive with a man that is obsessed with her, she has to find a way to convince him that she loves him. But will she actually fall for him? And if she does, where does that leave her with Chance?
The men and women of Reed Security won’t stop until one of their own is back home. They’ll never give up, and this time, they’re out for blood.
“Good news,” Sinner grinned as he walked into the room. “I got you ice cream.”
“Are fuc- serious?” I glanced over at Payton, hoping she didn’t catch my little slip-up. Morgan stood and took Payton’s hand.
“Why don’t we see if we can find you some ice cream?”
“Can we get some for Chance?”
Payton looked at me, trying not to laugh. It was f^@king obvious that the last thing I wanted was ice cream.
“Sure. I think we should get him some Mint Chocolate Chip.”
I glared at her, but she just smiled at me. After they left, I motioned for Sinner to bring the ice cream over. I feigned not being able to move and he brought it real close. I took the cup and pushed it into his face. Ice cream dripped from his nose and mouth and there were splashes of ice cream all around his eyes.
“Feel better?” he asked as he picked up some napkins and swiped at his face.
“F^@king fantastic.”
“You know, I was just trying to do you a solid.”
“How is ice cream doing me a solid?”
“No one brought me ice cream when I was in the hospital,” he pouted. “And my d^ck was practically singed off. If there’s ever a time for ice cream, it’s when you’re almost singing soprano.”
“Yeah, see, I just have a few bullet holes. I’d rather have steak.”
“What do you have against ice cream? It’s comfort food.”
“For chicks.”
“Guys like it too.”
“Do you know any guys that sit down and say, ‘I’m feeling blue. I think I need some ice cream to cheer me up.’”
Sinner shrugged, leaning back in his chair and pouting. “I don’t see what’s wrong with it. Ice cream feeds the soul.”
I rolled my eyes at him and plopped my head down on the pillow. “Please tell me that you’re not starting in with this shit.” I pointed toward the hallway. “Go. Find me a man that can bring me a steak.”
“Nobody opens up about their feelings over steak.”
“Is that what this is about? You’re all trying to get me to share at story time?”
“Look, we’ve all been there at one time or another. Sharing helps to set free those demons and unlock you inner-”
“If you don’t shut the hell up, I’m going to unlock my inner a$$hole and shove this table up your a$$.”
“Geez, you know, I just came in here to chat.”

Oh my goodness gracious. You want to talk about an emotional roller-coaster… This book 3 of an ARC was absolutely an emotional drain for me. I could not put this book down! The Reed Security Series has been an amazing, entertaining series of books, and I can tell you, Chance, phew… Morgan, what a heroine! I’m still reeling!!!
This is primarily Chance (of Reed Security) and Morgan’s story.
I’ll try not to do any spoilers.
This is part of an ongoing series and each chapter is told from that cast members POV. We get Chance who is trying to protect Morgan and her little package deal, Peyton.
There is a lot of action, drama, moving pieces and people.
Cap is moving pieces.
Does Chance have a shot of protecting Morgan and Peyton?
Who’s gonna rescue him?
Recommend.

Just the absolute best story. It had me captivated from the beginning with the hot steamy scenes. I really enjoyed reading this book and I would recommend it! Everything I like to read about and more. Such a great story I will read again and again. A keeper!!

I loved this book and the series. It’s funny, it has action and suspense. It has love, loyalty, friendship and family. Chance is captured and taken to an island. He is tortured and the only thing keeping him alive is Morgan and Payton.
I received a free copy of this book however all thoughts and opinions are 100% my own.
What an ending to the trilogy (don’t worry, I’m not giving anything away!). I was so intrigued to see how Giulia was going to manage to bring all the different facets of the storyline from all three books to a close without there being a major heartbreak somewhere, which I know she doesn’t normally do (still haven’t got over Cassandra from ‘Ryan’ book 7 of the Love of a Good Woman series – but that’s a story for another day).
My only slight quibble is Storm just seemed to appear out of nowhere a couple times then disappear into obscurity again!
I truly cannot sing Giulia’s praises enough, and it’s because of books like these. Once you’ve read one, you will instantly become addicted believe me! I love when she has a new book out but then hate when I’ve devoured it as I know I’ve got another month to go til my next ‘hit’! I am truly dreading the day she decides to end this series – all I do know is she better have grief counsellors ready!
The Broker!
The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance:
Heat/Steam:
Story/Plot:
World building:
Character development:
The heroine: Morgan James (a.k.a. Shyla) – in a previous book, Morgan was posing as a stripper in order to get information on her missing 4 year old daughter Payton. She was told by a contact that a man known as “The Broker” would have information on her daughter. The broker is extremely wealthy and powerful and developed an obsession with Morgan. He kidnapped her from Chance’s home and is holding her captive.
The Hero(es): Chance “Sniper” Hendrix – During the attack on Reed Security, Chance was also taken captive and is being held on the island. He is being tortured often and held in a small cell. His main focus is on escape with Morgan and/or Payton. He thinks Payton may be on the island also.
The Story: The Broker (a.k.a. Wes) was behind the attack on Reed Security and they have no clues on where he went with Chance and Morgan.
This is the third book of a three book ARC and part of it takes place in the same time period that the previous book, Jackson. We again see the men of Reed Security while they and their families are in hiding at Knight’s safe house.
The story is definitely one of the most action packed and suspenseful ones of all the books. It still has bits of humor here and there that is part and parcel of the Reed Security group, but it also has all the feels. Not only are Chance and Morgan in all kinds of trouble in this one, but the gang still needs to find out who, aside from Wes may have been behind the sex trafficking, child abductions and attack on Reed Security.
He is a captive and he needs to escape but he has to wait for the prefect moment as he needs to save his daughter as well. She betrayed him to save her daughter but it failed and she needs to save her daughter and return to him. Will he forgive her? Can she save her daughter? see if they can save their daughter and if they will ever have a life together again

This is the last book of the trilogy and all three are phenomenal!!! Make sure you read the first 2 books or you will be a little lost. I didn’t want to put the book down!! There is anguish, pain, love, drama, broken promises, punishment, and eye opening moments that make you wonder what in the world is next! Wes puts Morgan through so much just because she wants her daughter back. Chance is caught and tortured while he is trying to find Morgan’s daughter. There is so much going on that you can’t put the book down!

I could not put this one down. It’s very intriguing story that is fast paced and very captivating. This whole series has been great! This one focuses on Morgan and Chance. You don’t want to miss them but definitely read them in order. This one is suspenseful and riveting.
This is the 3rd book in the trilogy but is also book 15 in the series, so you need to read the whole series in order to get the main stories of the characters that run through every book. This Author has a certain knack that mixes all your emotions in one book, you can be weeping through one chapter and then laughing till you cry in the next and that’s what makes her books so special. This is book is about Chance and how he manages to escape captivity after being held for 12 months and in that time how the rest of Reed Security have been coping with someone that is hell bent on destroying the whole company whilst they continue to look for Chance, Morgan and her daughter. This is a real roller coaster of a book that will play with all your emotions….

I knew it was going to be amazing because so much lead up to this one that it had to deliver, and it did in spades! I loved the other perspectives added. It really rounded the story out. I was holding on for every word I read. I really felt everything from Chance. His situation was so gripping and intense that I felt in it with him every step! The descriptions were so easy to get into that I felt like I was right there!
Morgan had me yelling at her one minute and crying for her the next! I was involved completely.
I felt like this wrapped up the 3 parts perfectly and I am thrilled it not only lived up to the expectations but also surpassed them.
The situation with the Broker was quite a twist. And how it all played out was really awesome. This book had me more invested than any before and that is saying a lot. Each new story draws me further in! It will be interesting to see how Chance and Morgan really adjust after all the dust has settled.

This series gets better with each book I read.
I was really looking forward to reading this book and I wasn’t disappointed in the slightest. It kept me on the edge of my seat throughout. I couldn’t stop reading at all. I read it start to finish in one go I didn’t stop for anything. I absolutely loved it. I’m anxiously waiting for the next one.
Things in this third book of the series gets curiouser and curiouser as the story goes! The bouncing back and forth between the different groups/people had me wondering if we would ever see Chance or Morgan or Payton make it back to the group. This story kept me sitting on the edge of my chair with my leg bouncing rapidly as I read, worrying. Things are intense. At 1/3 of the way through the book, I’m not sure if I will see an HEA. Holy smokes, this book just got even crazier as I got closer to the end of the book!!! So much fun to read!!!!!!!!
RECEIVED THIS BOOK AS A GIFT FOR A FAIR/HONEST REVIEW and REVIEWER FOR Bloggin’ With M. Brennan.
This was a gritty, violent, funny, steamy, and endearing story. There were a lot of moments of violence and death. Yet, I laughed, especially at the end, and I cried as true emotions were expressed. The Reed Security “family” were entertaining but also supportive. This ended a three-book arc, and I felt it was the best one. Morgan and Chance went through so much despair and pain, but found their connection made them strong enough to survive.
I received a copy of this story through Enticing Journey Book Promotions, and this is my unsolicited review.
This story was one full of emotion that I can’t let go of. It’s a tale of what one man has to do to get back to the ones he loves. I was town apart over Chance and his story from the precious books. He is one strong, powerful man who will let nothing get in his way. The rollercoaster of things that happen will have your head spinning. The author has created a world that sucks you in. If this is your first book by her, you need the others. It will amaze you how well this author writes.
This story is full of twists, turns, emotions, deception and all around devotion to those you love. I loved chance and his determination. Morgan was deceived, but becomes stronger and more determined because of it. It’a a tale that will stay with you long after the last page.
Morgan feels sorry for herself but also for those she cares about – especially once you meet the bad guy. Our author is very good at what she does because every time he appears I give an involuntary shiver – I almost expect to hear some music when he walks into a room. I could never imagine having a person like that in my life – which makes this a great work of fiction.
Chance has had to endure a lot – the author shows that he’s a man of great strength. He’s part of an elite group that will not accept defeat and always puts others first. The word quit doesn’t seem to be in his vocabulary.
If you’ve read Sniper and Jackson, there’s no way you can stop now – you’ve got to finish this trilogy. Where Jackson and Raegan had me laughing. Morgan and Chance had me holding my breath as I waited for the suspense to end. We also get to catch up with some of the other men that work for Reed Security and that’s never a bad thing. And seeing one of them get foot in mouth disease was a great way to lighten a mood that could have turned dark – and the scene just gets better.
I thought Jackson’s book was an emotional roller coaster but he has nothing on Chance. The difference though was that I couldn’t wait for the ride to stop because I wanted to know that Chance and Morgan were going to be alright. The author creates an ending that gives the reader a little more because it hints as to whose story may be next. Now I’m back to hanging off that cliff as I wait.
I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
I love the boys of Reed security. What can be better than a private security outfit made up of hot ex-military men? Chance is no exception, and this was a great conclusion to him and Morgan’s 3 part story. Action, romance, and chemistry with a smidge of suspense had me easily engaged.
Wes wanted a willing captive and that’s what she would give him. Morgan wants her daughter back, and she begin the performance of her life to ensure he never knows that is exactly what she’s doing, she has to make him believe she’s fallen in love with him.
Chance had been tortured before and survived, this was no different, the guards weren’t trained and The Broker thought he wouldn’t get off the island, but he was a trained Navy Seal. The torture with Chance continued, but he knew he wasn’t dead yet and would fight, he had to get Payton and him out of there. Chance almost reaches his breaking point, finally finding someone willing to help him.
Finally, everything they all work for comes together and they get their escape. But the broker is free, Chance and Morgan have been through so much, even with the help of the Reed Security team and the women helping them, will they be able to get past what they endured to finally be together.
As always, the men from Reed Security say the wrong things and the women decide on appropriate ways to show them exactly how wrong they are. The men are entertaining as ever with their attempts at male bonding that always go wrong.
Although this is an exceptionally long series the action, adventure and intrigue doesn’t stop, can’t wait for the next book.
The great character and storyline development kept me totally engaged throughout the entire book! I always enjoy reading what this author writes!
This is the 15th book in this phenomenal series, and is #3 and concluding part of this trilogy. Sniper and Jackson needs to be read before Chance. When the enemy infiltrated Reed Security, they took Chance prisoner, and the rest of the team will stop for nothing in order to get him back. This story is full of drama, angst, violence, suspense, torture, murder, love, which all leads to a raw, gritty, thrilling, fast paced read, which had me on tenterhooks throughout. This exceptionally gifted author has done a brilliant job in penning this story, and I cannot wait o read more of her work.
