I am going to say I enjoyed this book but it is a bit slow at times. I have to say it is a quick easy read but the mystery is a little slow. If you want to know the details of the mystery you need to get this book. I do not do spoilers. If you like shifter books give this one a chance it is worth it!!!
CELEBRATION BEAR is the third book in the Fate Valley Mystery series. Each will stand on its own, but there is heavy involvement with the characters from the other books in the series.
I love visiting Fate Valley and sharing some time with another couple as they come together after being matched on Mate.com. In fact, Thorian and CiCi are specifically looking for a forever mate. In an era of one-night-stands and hookups, it is refreshing to read about a desire for a deeper and long-lasting relationship.
The cozy-mystery was well written with multiple suspects and a path of clues to follow with the characters until the culprit is arrested.
I enjoyed this story. It is what I refer to as a “relaxed read.” It did not add to the stress of my day, but instead allowed me to simply appreciate the story.
I will be looking through my kindle for more of the books I know that I have from Scarlett Grove and reading them ASAP!

Another great Fate Mountain Series book.. It is so neat to see the different Bear shifters, new and old ones find their Fated Mates on Fate Mountain..
Cute love story with a fantastic plot! Throw in a murder and the mystery of who did it, with beautiful fireworks, great friends, shifters, and true love; what more could a girl want. Loved it!

Ooooo I sure do love Ms. Scarlett’s mysteries they are all phenomenal captivating you from the first page, to the last. Putting you on the edge of your seat, who done it? Definitely a Must Read!
Cici Anderson is a human who is at Sunshines wedding, she has the saying down pat “Always a Bridesmaid Never a Bride” of coarse she’s melon colly. She’s been with Mate.com for a while now and not one 100% match. She was never going to get a mate. When her phone buzzes with her 100% match she’s ready to faint right then and there. Nothing like a first date on New Years Eve.
Thorian Reed is a Bear Shifter also an
Electrician and a Pyrotechnician yep, music and fireworks was his 1st job at Fate Valley Resort. Everyone called Celebration Bear because he loved to celebrate of every from holidays, parties, birthdays even funerals. He just came back to Fate Valley when his grandfather died leaving Thorian his house. Being an electrician on call he was sent to a ridiculously crazed family estate. Where he couldn’t get out fast enough. That’s it he decided he needs a mate, so he started Mate.com will he get his 100% match.
A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book and my comments here are my honest opinion.
Thorian is new to Fate Mountain and in no hurry find a mate–until loneliness hit him just in time to get notice of his 100% fated mate match. Cici had been waiting for a shifter match like her friends had found. And what a match. Her tiny curvy person is matched with a super hunk with an amazing job. They hit it off immediately at their first meeting. Too bad murder had to intrude. The gruesome crime frightened her and Thorian stayed with her to make her feel safer. So begins a fast courtship and bonding to friends and lovers.
This is a short sweet love with likable characters and a HEA.
I voluntarily reviewed this advanced reader copy and I have not been compensated in any way.
I really liked this book. Several of the supporting characters we are already familiar with and we have met the two main characters in the last Fate Valley mystery. Sometimes it just doesn’t pay to be a sexy, pantie-melting grizzly bear, as Thorian discovers. I loved how he immediately signed up for Mate.com after being cornered by his married customer in front of her husband. Cici has been a member of Mate.com for awhile and is ready to trade her bridesmaid dress for a wedding dress of her own. During their first date, a murder interrupts their evening. Thorian is questioned as a person of interest. He and Cici will investigate on their own to clear his name, while getting to know each other. I love Fate Valley almost as much as I love Fate Mountain. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
ARC – I voluntarily offered to review this book with no obligations and my opinions are honest!
Cici saw how her friends were so happy with their mates.
She was tired of feeling left out.
She was ready to meet her mate.
Thorian came to Fate Valley after he inherited his grandfather’s estate.
His grandfather’s last wish was for Thorian to make Fate Valley his home as well.
He was also ready to meet his mate.
This was such a sweet story!
Loved the storytelling + the characters!
CiCi Anderson has seen all her girlfriends find their mates on Mate.com and she’s been on it just as long….It’s gotten to a point that she’s given up all hope of ever finding the right guy. She looks upon her friend Sunshine who is celebrating her wedding and feels lonely will she ever stop going down the aisle as a bridesmaid, but she is very happy for her friend… She figures she’ll drown her sorrows when she hears a ping on her cell….. It’s Mate.com and man oh man is this dude hot, it’s time to celebrate! He’s gonna show her some fireworks!
Thorian has been traveling all over since he left the service and now the one person who kept coming back to Fate Valley is gone and he plans on sticking around. He is starting to feel lonely, so he signs up at Mate.com, they don’t call him Celebration Bear for nothing he wants celebrate, but with his mate by his side. He just never expected to find her so fast and for someone to decide to put a damper on their first date by murdering a prominent resident right at his Fireworks display tent on New Years Eve.
Who done it?
This is a heart felt romantic story with a wonderful murder mystery twist. The story is passionate with great drama and action all tied up with a HEA
Enjoyable but felt a bit rushed…
A shifter romance with a touch of intrigue focused on Thorian who is ex. Military and now an electrician/ pyrotechnician, and the beautiful Cici, his fated mate … ..
The two main characters take turns to tell their version of events….and, as with previous books in this series, they find each other through the shifters dating agency and as a consequence when they meet they fall instantly in love with each other… but things get a bit more complicated when there is a murder to solve and a fundraiser to overcome on their journey to an HEA…
I have enjoyed this set of novellas however on this occasion I felt that the writing was a bit rushed with the story feeling more like a list rather than a fully developed story..the characters had the potential to be interesting but they needed more fleshing out..
That said this book provided a brief escape from the humdrum and is worth reading as part of this enjoyable series…I received an advanced copy of this novella from the author.
