I was very eager to read the sequel to Catch.net by Rita Delude. I was ready to see what would come next for this group of friends.
The foreshadowing of trouble for Joe and Wanda had my attention right away and instantly made me want to find out what was going on.
Being able to see the inner workings of their relationships made me feel like a fly on the wall. Both couples had their struggles for be sure, but all along I was hoping that there was some misunderstanding for Wanda. I was on edge as she worked her investigative skills.
The end of Chapter 15 crushed me. I had held out hope for Wanda, but my world shattered along with hers and I wondered where she would go from here. I just couldn’t imagine. My emotions had taken a sharp turn to seething rage at this point, and I credit Delude’s fabulous writing and character development for bringing out such powerful feelings.
At the beginning of Chapter 17, I was a bit interested to hear what Joe had to say about recent events. I liked that I would have the chance to read things from his perspective, even if I was upset with him at the time.
When Joe went to talk to Ron and call in a favor, I could feel my stress level rising at the trouble that would cause for the newlyweds.
Things appeared to be moving along smoothly and heading in the right direction when Chapter 28 shattered my world and totally turned my emotions inside out. It certainly demonstrated how some situations can really showcase what is important and make everything else fall away. I couldn’t get to the conclusion fast enough.
Caught in the Middle was a fantastic book that truly had all the feels. Brilliantly done! I hope there will be more books about these characters in the future.
Author Rita Delude did not disappoint me in this book. I could not put this book down. I had to finish this book once I had started it as I had to find out what the ending was. My emotions went from You go, Wanda, to Come on Wanda, don’t back down now, to OH NO Wanda I’ll pray with you, to OH Yes thank you, Lord!! Rita had me laughing, yelling, crying and praising the Lord all in the same book. I can’t wait to read more from this her!!!
I listened to this masterpiece on my Kindle (text to speech) at work. Some chapters gutted me, while others caused butterflies to flutter in my chest. This novel tackles some serious subjects that hits home for a lot of marriages, but mixed within all the seriousness, the author added “giggle” moments at just the right time. This is such a good romantical story. I love the couples in Caught in the Middle and Catch.net, hope to read more about them in the near future.
