Penelope and Miles had a wonderful summer but he disappeared for six years. Now returned from military service, they start to rekindle their relationship. The characters and storyline were terrific, with plenty of intense emotions and feelings. They get quite steamy in their reconnection. Well done.

Penelope and Miles met during high school in their senior year. Sparks few between the female dragon shifter and the human male. They fell deeply in love but Miles had made a commitment to his future. Before he even met Penelope, he had signed up for the military. When it came time to go to basic training, Miles chickens out by leaving Penelope with a goodbye note with very little explanation. Penelope’s heart was broken and it took her a long time to recover. She made herself a rule that she would never date another human. The problem is she can’t trust anyone after Miles’ betrayal. Fast forward six years and Penelope is lonely. She knows she is submissive but hasn’t gotten the courage up to act out a scene. She goes with her friends to a kinky club. To her surprise she sees Miles there and she realizes that she still has feelings for him. To protect her heart, she wants to stay as far away as possible.
Miles had loved Penelope and thought his decision he made to leave her behind was best for her. Almost as soon as he left, he realizes that he made a horrible mistake. He could have done his term of duty and been in a long distance relationship with Penelope. Now that he has left the military, he is determined to hunt her down. He wants to give their love a second chance if she will let him that is if she isn’t married already. He was very surprised to see Penelope at the club. He knew that he is a Dom but he had always believed that Penelope was too vanilla to go to a sex club. He had planned to bury his not vanilla tendencies in order to keep her but her presence at the club shows him that she might be ready for something a little risque.

Will she give him a second chance?
The sixth book of the Dragon Isle series is Catching the Dragon. This book is about Penelope and Miles. Their story is heartbreaking for Penny as after spending an amazing summer with Miles he enlisted and left without telling her. Since then she has lived by herself helping others but not getting involved with any other man, having sworn off them. Now it is six years later and Miles has come back with an intention of getting her back. But can she ever trust him again, or better yet can he ever grovel enough for what he did?
I received an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
This book pulled me in and kept me entranced till the end. The feelings of love, hate, and pain coming out in waves making you want to cry while you read. This was such a beautiful book! I loved the characters wholesomeness!
