Settling down and starting a family is something Diesel has considered, regardless of his one-night stand reputation. However, he just might be single forever since who he wants is off-limits—his best friend’s little sister.
He’s been in love with her for years, but betraying his friendship could ruin everything.
Rowan Bishop is over men, especially after finding out her boyfriend cheated and … boyfriend cheated and left her heartbroken. After graduating from college, she’s back home and has to face the one guy who purposely gets under her skin—her older brother’s best friend.
She hates that she’s attracted to him, but she’s willing to fight for who she wants.
Spending time together is a bad idea, but neither can deny the chemistry sizzling between them. Late night talks turn into spontaneous adventures and just when Rowan’s willing to admit how she truly feels, Diesel’s past catches up with him and ruins their picture perfect romance.
One secret turns into another and before either can grasp their new reality, more truths unravel—threatening to expose their forbidden relationship.
Catching the Cowboy is a complete standalone and can be read without reading any of the other books or series, but if you prefer to read in order, start with Hitching the Cowboy as the characters and families do interconnect.

I have been anxiously awaiting for Rowan and Diesel’s story since reading Hitching the Cowboy. You could tell there was something there. Now we know! It’s a best friend’s little sister romance with some twist I didn’t see coming. What I liked about the story was not just the explosive attraction between Rowan and Diesel but also the low angst. There is no drawn out drama that takes forever to resolve. It’s more about the couple and their feelings and them growing individually and together to get to that final happily ever after. The side characters are just as fun and I couldn’t put this down.
Kennedy Fox brings on all the sweetness and sexiness of a brother’s best friend, second chance and small town romance in Catching The Cowboy! A swoonworthy hero who made me drool and sigh and die from awesomeness overload. A sassy and feisty heroine. And all the heartwarming goodness of a flirty, adorable and hotter than sin romance!
Diesel has always been attracted to and infatuated with his best friend Riley’s little sister Rowan. But she was off limits. And he tried to cover his feelings with inappropriate comments and good natured leg pulling. Rowan thought of him as another annoying and overprotective big brother. But when Rowan comes back to Circle B ranch after graduation, their chemistry changes. Rowan can no longer think of Diesel as a brother like figure as it’s hard to resist his mouthwatering body, sweet charm and charisma. And Diesel is done with hiding and denying his emotions. Because this ladykiller and playboy wants the forbidden fruit only.
I freaking love Diesel. He is really the perfect man. Sexy. Hardworking. Honest. Caring. Chivalrous. Sweet. Dirty talker. Persistent. Just everything. Something from his past came into present and he faced it with courage and conviction. He is always fair to his work people and hundred percent devoted to his friends and family. Rowan tested his limits every way. Teasing. Taunting. Torturing him. Ignoring. But she did fall for the cowboy..just like me! Rowan can be my spirit animal. She may be sassy and spontaneous and full of life. But she is also mature beyond her age. They have this incredible chemistry. Years of spending time together created an easy camaraderie between them. Rowan had some insecurities from her past relationships and Diesel’s life brought some complications but they were solid at the the end. And their passion? Holy hotness! It’s whole lot of naughty, dirty and sinful. As expected, Kennedy Fox gave this story an angsty edge that added to depth of this story. It was basically a carnival with loud families, dedicated friends and the small yet heartwarming details of a small town. With some ups and downs to keep things interesting.
If you are a Kennedy Fox fan, Catching the Cowboy is a must read because obviously you cannot miss a single magical moment. If you are not a Kennedy Fox fan, Catching The Cowboy is still a must read because you are depriving yourself from something incredibly beautiful and brilliant!
Received ARC for honest review
OHHHH I have been waiting for this book! That sizzle between Rowen and Diesel was absolutely intense in every moment they were in the same room from the previous books. I felt a kinship with Rowen because of her absolute sass and give as good as she gets attitude. She totally gave Diesel a run for his money as these two navigate what they both thought was each other hating the other. But this turned out to a breathtaking best friend’s little sister/enemies to lovers tale that I have ever read. There were perfect twists and turns that kept you on your feet. Just enough drama to make you want to yell at both of them. But the passion was smoking hot and off the charts between these two. The fire was brilliant!
Honestly, Kennedy Fox just keeps getting better and better with their stories and I am DYING for more. Catching the Cowboy was an amazing installment to this series and to the Bishop family. Gram for the win! This book is very much one of the best of the year.. But then I say that about all of the work by these authors because I LOVE their words and how they flow! Snag up this book and swoon for Diesel and cheer on Rowen as she makes me work for it!!!
This is the second book in the Circle B series. They are standalones. But you do see the other characters in this book and it does set up the next.
This is Rowan and Diesel’s book. This is a best friend’s little sister and enemies to lovers read.
Rowan is home from college after graduating and catching her boyfriend cheating on her.
Diesel has always been in love with her, and part of the Bishop clan. He teased and picked on her to get her attention. That was the only way she would give him any attention.
There is some drama for both of them. I won’t say much about it though because I don’t want to give anything away.
I was expecting more with the Nick situation, I didn’t think what Diesel did would have ended it. I thought it would make him more mad.
Parts of this did drag a little for me. I still enjoyed it though.
Oh Diesel!!! **swoon** Please excuse me while I fan myself off over this one. Diesel has officially taken the spot of top book boyfriend. He is charismatic and funny and not afraid to go after what he wants. Rowan is a spitfire and puts him in his place more than once. This new generation of Bishop’s is everything you know and love about the originals but even better. Being back at the ranch and seeing how much they have taken after their parents is hysterical. I love how Kennedy Fox always manages to bring real life issues to the storyline. It’s so genuine and real and you feel like you’re there with them experiencing it at the same time. I can’t wait for the next book!
I am head over heels in love with Diesel and Rowan. Diesel’s crush on Rowan was so completely adorable. The first pages had me hooked, the two of them were like fire and ice. They had a past and they were definitely not always on the same page.
As always, with Max Monroe’s books, it was packed full of sassy, sarcastic, funny banter between the couple and also those closest to them. I love that these books and the characters are always different but you always know that you will get fantastic chemistry, a good story with the perfect mix of laughter and feels, along with the feeling you are visiting with your own family.
I’m so excited to be able to visit the Bishop Brothers with brand new stories of their kids. I can’t wait for the next book.
Rate: 4,5/ 5 stars
It’s always such a joy being back at the Circle B Ranch. Catching the Cowboy was such a highly anticipated book for me ever since it was announced and Rowan and Diesel did not disappoint.
Their story is a brother bestfriend to lover/childhood crush with a couple of other things mixed in that I won’t give away. Diesel really surprised me. We met him as a total playboy in Hitching the Cowboy and we got to see a whole other side to him in this book and it was so good. He’s such a good, fun loving guy. I adored him and his romantic, pining for Rowan side. Their hateful but cute banter and teasing, the flirting behind being a jerk, being honest while everyone thought he was just joking… no one ever seemed to take Diesel serious but he showed everyone just how serious he really was about Rowan Bishop.
These two were honestly just so adorable and cute, I loved them. Their relationship happened really fast but when you’ve been in love with a girl ever since you were fifteen and she finally sees you, there’s no more time to waste. Catching the Cowboy was just a feel good romance with characters you’ll adore, a couple of surprises you won’t see coming but are so welcome and a family that never ever disappoints.
Once again Kennedy Fox gaves us everything, from more of our old favorite characters, to more of the other Bishop kids, introduced us to tons of new characters as well and gave us so many hints at future books that already have me dying for the next few books! I cannot wait for everything. I can’t say this enough but I really could spend forever at the Circle B ranch and not get tired. If this series never ends, that is absolutely fine with me.
This book blew me away. From start to finish I was hooked into the story! Diesel was a great character, I loved his humor, and his playfulness, but he also knew how to be serious when the situation called for it. The best friend’s little sister is one of my favorite tropes and this one stands out as one of my favorites. Rowan was a strong female who I could see myself being friends with in real life. The banter between them is stuff of legends, same for the banter between Diesel and his best friend Riley. I loved all the different locations this book took us, I always felt I was in the B&B right with them during all those scenes! This is a must read
I received an ARC in exchange for my honest review.
I received a complimentary ARC – early release copy of this book in Kindle format from the author for review purposes.
This is book 2 in the series and I loved it so much. It is the 2nd generation story and we get to see the romances of a 2nd generation at this Texas ranch. This is Diesel/Adam’s story with Rowan, who is his best friends little sister.
Diesel fell in love with Rowan when they were teens and his heart has always been hers but Rowan has never felt that was about Diesel. She has just graduated college and is home now and her heart is broken by an ex who cheated on her. And as she gets to know an adult Diesel her heart starts to open to him.
This was a sweet and sexy story with lots of sex scenes LOTS! So be ready for it. Also Diesel and Rowan are not the most mature couple yet as they are both in their early twenties. But I loved seeing the second generation and getting to know them and I cannot wait for them to find love as well.
I will always love going back to the Bishop’s Circle B Ranch!
After waiting anxiously for Rowan and Diesel’s story after finishing Hitching the Cowboy, I devoured this story in one sitting! I couldn’t get enough of their story and I loved every single second! I’m a sucker for best friend’s sister romances and watching all of the drama unfold as Rowan and Diesel both came to terms with their feelings and what that meant for them, was so enjoyable.
They have always hidden their feelings from each other, in fear that Rowan’s brother, Riley, who also happens to be Diesel’s best friend, would find out. Rowan just got out of a relationship with a cheating dirtbag and Diesel has created a strong playboy reputation. One night, their attraction and chemistry come to a tipping point and they share a kiss in the break room of the bar Rowan is running. I absolutely loved watching them deal with everything thrown their way on the road to a happily ever after.
I hope we never have to say goodbye to the Bishop family. I am so in love with them and they will always hold a special place in my heart.
Grateful to have received a complimentary ARC copy to honestly review.
This is Diesel and Rowan Bishop’s story in the second generation circle b ranch series.
Diesel works on the ranch with his best friend Riley from “Hitching the Cowboy” and Rowan’s brother. Diesel is an alpha male with a sweet and romantic heart.
Rowan is a strong independent woman with a feisty attitude that I loved. She has just graduated from college and is home to work the books for the family bar.
Diesel and Rowan have known each other most of their lives and Riley has always warned Diesel to keep his hands off his little sister. Diesel and Rowan constantly tease each other and it was clear they had serious chemistry and once they realized they both felt the same way it was on! But then Diesel’s past catches up with him, will they make it through the bump in the road?
I absolutely loved this story and is definitely one of the best Kennedy Fox books yet and I can’t wait to return to the circle b ranch!!!
Another great story in the Circle B series.
The Bishops are honestly one of my favorite familys ever. So far I haven‘t read any book that wasn‘t good or met a character that I didn‘t like.
Obviously the cover is a hit and the blurb already tells you that it‘s going to get juicy. We already met Diesel and Rowan in the first book and I liked them both since. So it was only fitting that their story is next and what a story it is.
Adam Hayes aka Diesel is Rowans brothers best friend and he‘s been told alot that Rowan is off limits. Does he listen? No! But that‘s one of the great things about him. He fights for what he wants!
Rowan is the daughter of Alex and River (Book Taming him) and she‘s finally come back home from college. She has limited trust in men because of a bad break up. She‘s a sassy one for sure! And 100% the woman Diesel needs!
The story of them has it‘s ups and downs and it‘s great. Loads of steamy scenes and also loads of scenes that make your heart want to cry and swell with so much love for each character.
I can‘t wait for the next one in this series! And we‘ll soon need a Family Tree
5 out of 5
This is the second book in the Circle B Ranch Series, a Cowboy romance/Brother’s best friend. I love these Series with intertwined characters. Diesel and Rowan’s story is fun, sweet, and sexy. Their story is beautiful. I love the Bishop family. This is a great addition to the Series. Stephen Dexter and Lia Langola did a great job with the narration. Looking forward to listen to Wrangling the Cowboy. (review updated with the audiobook review)
Best Friend’s Sister | Cowboy Romance
The Circle B Ranch series is probably my favorite from the author duo even though I have LOVED their previous novels. I think what I like most about them is how charming these cowboys are and how hard they work to get their women to fall in love with them. There’s something so appealing about a strong man falling weakly to their knees for the girls they love. Sigh… It’s so beautiful! Another thing I love about this series (and this book in particular) is how it’s not an angsty, edge of your seat read. Sure, the books have minor twists in them, but nothing too heart dropping. I did find myself with a little bit of nerves when reading THIS twist, but I knew it would all come together smoothly so I didn’t sweat is as much as I may have if the angst was ramped up. If you want a book that’s low on angst and high on swoons, this is the perfect book to get lost in! I read Catching the Cowboy in one sitting and loved every second of it. If perhaps you’re looking for something with more angst, I recommend reading their Roommates Duet series where there are three sets of duets each filled with their own twists, turns, and emotions! Those books are much different than these in terms of content, but still written with the Kennedy Fox flair many of us have grown to love.
On to the book! This is Diesel and Rowen’s story. You may recognize then from Hitching the Cowboy as they were secondary characters who clearly had a thing for each other. Neither of them knew it at the time of that book, but you certainly get a feel for their attraction in it. Rowen is Riley’s sister (he’s the hero from Hitching the Cowboy) and Diesel his best friend. You know what that means! This is a best friend’s little sister romance! Diesel and Rowen both hide the fact that their attracted to one another out of fear of repercussions from the Bishop family (PS: there are 4 books in that series as well!). Rowen is afraid of what her family will think especially because she recently got out of a relationship with a cheating scumbag, and Diesel doesn’t want to lose his best friend. So, what’s the pair to do when they share a scandalous kiss in the break room? Well, you would have to read it to find out! Be prepared for all those swoony, lovey dovey feelings, and some fantastic chemistry! There is a twist that ramps up the story, but it fits in WELL with everything even though it doesn’t seem like it at first!
4.5 Stars
Catching the Cowboy is the second title in the Circle B Ranch series featuring the second generation of Bishops. This particular title features Rowan Bishop, daughter to Alex and River who were featured in Taming Him, and Adam Hayes aka Diesel, Riley’s best friend who story was told in the previous title Hitching The Cowboy. As you may have gathered by the synopsis, and my ramblings Catching the Cowboy is a brother’s best friend romance, but it’s also a enemies to lovers romance. This pair spent their teenage years tormenting each other, in an effort to hide their true feelings. This title is a feel good romance, with a few surprising twists and turns.
Diesel caught my attention in Hitching the Cowboy, where he was depicted as a fun loving player, but in this title we see that there is more than meets the eye. He’s a layered and complex character. Whilst sweet, sexy and charming and charismatic, he’s also a possessive alpha, and quite the joker. He loves to play up being a jocker, when most of his commentary is actually his true thoughts and feelings being delivered with a cheeky grin.
Rowan is a fierce, sassy and strong heroine. She’s determined and driven to succeed and put her college degree to good use whilst aiding her family. She’s distrustful of men in general, and makes Diesel work for her affections.
The banter between tis pair is antagonistic, yet quite playful and fun. Quite often their interactions are flirty and filled with sexual innuendoes, sarcasm and humor. Their connection and chemistry is undeniable.
Several of the Bishop cousins make cameo appearances as well as the previous generation. I really would have liked to have seen more of Riley and Zoey throughout this title, I think Zoey only appeared in one scene whereas Diesel was a prominent figure in the previous title.
Rowan and Diesel’s story has a touch of drama, but has plenty of heat, heart and humor and the themes of family and friendship flow throughout not only this book but all the books revolving around the Circle B ranch. I will be eagerly awaiting the next addition to this series.
This was the first book that I read in the Circle B Ranch series and it can be read as a standalone just fine. This is a cute best-friend little sister romance. Diesel is a southern cowboy. He has a cocky attitude and a playful demeanor. His feelings for Rowan is obvious but he hides them under his witty comments. Rowan has graduated college and she is returning to town with a broken heart. Rowan is sassy and strong. She loves her family and has decided she is no longer looking for a playboy but someone she can settle down with. She see Diesel as a player so she does not easily fall for his charm. I loved the banter between the two. They are clearly attraction to each other and there is undeniable chemistry but they have to work on trust that attraction. The build up of their relationship is perfect, I loved all the swoon-worthy moments in between. I loved the supporting characters, gave the book a small town loving feel.
If you are looking for a slow burn, best friend little sister romance with sassy banter and great supporting characters this is your book!
I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie’s Book Reports.

I love love love a good best friends brother romance and this is one of the best ones I have read in a long time. I am loving this series and the sexy cowboys in it. These fellers are charming and and work hard to get their woman and keep them. This is the story of Diesel and Rowen. If you read Hitching the Cowboy then you met these two in that book. Now we are getting their story and it will be on that you do not want to put down. These two have been attracted to each other for a while but they hide it so well. They have no idea how the Bishop. Rowan has not idea how they will react especially since she just got out of a relationship with a guy that is not worth the dirt on Diesel’s boots and Diesel is not going to lose his best friend. That is all your getting out of me. I don’t want to ruin anything. Just grab this book and fall in love with these characters just like I did.
Oh I love this series and have missed the Bishops at Circle B ranch!
Rowen Bishop has returned home to work at her family Saloon after finishing college. Adam, aka Diesel, has been in love with her for years even though his best friend Riley (her brother) has stated she’s off limits. He has never denied his feelings about her but it has always been taken in jest and his and Rowan do love a bit of a verbal sparring making their sexual tension even more off the charts hot!!
Once Rowan accepts her feelings though and realises Diesel’s feelings are real the steam kicks up a notch and their relationship moves quickly but seems so right!
Another great read from this talented duo and I can’t wait to read the next book in the series
Great story once again by the pairing of Kennedy Fox! 5 stars, grab your copy asap!
We follow Rowan Bishop, back on the Circle B ranch after graduating college. Diesel, working the farm, and basically an honorary Bishop, has always wanted Rowan, and she’s always crushed on him. They were each others first kiss, but she’s Diesels best friends little sister, can he convince the family and Rowan, that he’s not that playboy anymore, or will something from his past come back and ruin everything he’s waited and worked so hard for? Make sure you grab this one asap, and enjoy being back at the Circle B!
This is the 2nd book in this series and is Diesel and Rowan’s story. Rowan is off limits as she is Diesels best friends’ little sister, but can they deny the chemistry between them? No spoilers: this is a must read, you will not be disappointed. This is a well written story which is filled with secrets, twists, and an abundance of love, which all lead to an all-consuming and addictive page turner. I was hooked throughout this story and I highly recommend for all.
