Catching the Billionaire is a very enjoyable clean, sweet romance. Charlotte and Blake have great chemistry – plus they each had a crush on the other in high school but Charlotte’s brother warned Blake away. Charlotte is a successful event planner who is handling her brother’s wedding. It turns out the chosen venue is Blake’s mansion’s apple orchard. As they work together to pull off this wedding, will Charlotte and Blake finally get their HEA? I loved this book! It grabbed me on page one and I was sorry to reach the end!

Charlotte and Blake had crushes on each other when they were teenagers, but her brother Jason warned Blake off so he backed away and hid his feelings. They are together again fifteen years later to plan Jason’s wedding at Blake’s orchard. I liked the idea of the orchard and a fall wedding. Blake is a MLB player, who invested his earnings and is now a billionaire. Charlotte runs her own party and wedding planning business. You could see the returning spark between them right away. But they both evade and run away from their feelings. She wants him to choose her and to stay in Chicago but doesn’t tell him that, just that he should follow his heart. He doesn’t know if he wants to give up his dream to play for New York and whether or not she returns his feelings. There was a lot of back and forth in this romance where I was frustrated at times by both of them when they wouldn’t come right out and discuss their feelings.

Blake and Jason are best friends. The big secret: Jason’s younger sister, Charlotte, had a huge crush on Blake when they were young, and he had one on her as well. She is a successful event planner, and her current project is Jason and Paula’s wedding, which will be held in Blake’s apple orchard. Blake is a pro baseball star who’s waiting to see where his career is taking him next, but Charlotte is completely unaware of his status. They spend time together as she gets the wedding plans completed, and they begin to admit their previous feelings about each other. Then the other shoe drops – Blake gets an offer to play for his dream team in New York. There is a wonderful happy ending to this story. This is my first read from this author – looking forward to more of her books.

A wonderful sweet second chance story. Never forgotten teen crush developing into adult love. All the drama and angst needed to keep the reader turning pages to reach the HEA.

This was a sweet story with Blake and Charlotte seeing each other again after 15 years. It’s like a second chance romance as they were in love as teenagers but never admitted it. Now, seeing each other again, they can’t help but have that same connection. I wanted to scream at them so they could just admit their feelings and they took their sweet time. When they finally did, it was so sweet.

This is an enjoyable, gentle book.
Charlotte and Blake had loved each other as teens, yet neither was aware of how the other felt because Charlotte’s brother, Jason, had warned Blake not to hurt her, so Blake backed off.
Years later as Charlotte was planning Jason’s wedding, they meet again. The feelings from years ago resurface.
She’s a hometown party planner. He’s a big league baseball player who travels most of the year.
How can they even think of having a lasting relationship?
Psst… There is a HEA.

Charlotte ‘s fiancé had just broken up with her – luckily before she announced the engagement to her family – when her brother asks her to arrange his wedding – location a private mansion. When she arrives she is almost shell-shocked meeting the owner – her brother’s best friend and the love she never really got over. Blake also never forgot about her, but remembered his promise to her brother when in high school to stay away. But is this still valid for now, when they are both grown-up?
A wonderful story of old insecurities and new-found confidence, mixed with well-meaning people who make life not easier, but complicate everything even more.
A well-written, entertaining and enjoyable story, easy to read and great for a lazy afternoon
