From USA Today’s bestselling author Terri Anne Browning’s “The Rocker…” comes a New Adult series, “The Lucy & Harris Novella Series”.
Lucy
So yeah, my dad is a rock star; he’s the drummer for Demon’s Wings. Big whoop. Honestly, the fame that comes with having a famous dad is not all that you think it might be. It sucks. You have no privacy. Oh yeah, and don’t let me forget about the … about the lunatics that want to do who knows what to you just to get famous. When I leave the house every morning I feel like my life isn’t my own. Between the paparazzi, the fans, my bodyguard, and everything else I feel like I’m part of the freak show in the circus most days.
It wasn’t always like this, though. I didn’t always feel like this. Once upon a time I had a best friend who helped me deal with this life that we both belonged to.
Harris
So yeah, my dad is a rock star; he’s the drummer for OtherWorld. And Lucy was and always will be the only girl to ever know the real me. She was my best friend, my voice of reason. My SANITY. Maybe she outgrew me. But I will never outgrow her. It’s been years since I’ve seen her, and I miss her so damn bad. All I want is a chance to get back what we’ve lost, to have my best friend in my life again.
I wasn’t counting on how grown up my friend might have gotten, how beautiful she is now. The more time I spend with this new Lucy, I have to wonder if I really want that old friendship back…or if I want much, much more.

Catching Lucy
Catching Lucy is the first novella in the Lucy and Harris series. I’ve just finished reading Tainted Knights so some of the characters are familiar and it’s nice to discover where it all began
Really enjoyed readying all about Lucy and her crush Harris. Very well written storyline and I look forward to the next book in the series.
5 Stars
The Rocker… series has been one of my all-time favorite series since I picked up book one. I’ve always loved the closeness that Lucy and Harris share being kids of famous rockstars and the struggles that go hand in hand with that fame. Struggles that involve the typical crushes that lead to broken hearts.
Harris Cutter is finally living his dream…opening the hottest night club in not just LA, but all of California. But not being able to share that with his best friend is killing him, and he just doesn’t understand why Lucy won’t talk to him. Lucy finally gives in and goes with her friend to see First Bass and seeing Harris just brings all the feelings she has for him rushing back. Finally seeing Lucy in his club makes Harris realize just how much he loves Lucy.
I loved everything about this novella. I loved how Harris finally has his “a-ha” moment, realizing he’s in love with Lucy. I can’t wait to see what’s next for these two.

Catching Lucy was the first book in the Lucy and Harris series by Terri Anne Browning. It was a short introduction that served as the beginning / prequel for Lucy Thornton and Harris Cutter.
Lucy was the Princess Rocker. She was the adopted daughter to Jesse Thornton, the drummer for the famous rock band, Demon’s Wings. She was four when her mother died and her older sister became her mother. She was six when her sister / mother had met and married Jesse; who then adopted Lucy. They are close and the only parents she had ever known.
Harris Cutter was the son to Devin Cutter, the drummer for the famous rock band OtherWorld. The bands Demon’s Wings and OtherWorld had the same manager, toured together frequently, and were like one big family. Harris was five years older than Lucy but they grew up together and became best friends.
When Lucy was eleven and Harris was sixteen, Lucy began to crush on Harris. She distanced herself from him when he began to date. Catching Lucy began when Lucy was seventeen and Harris had just graduated from college and returned home to open his dream club, First Bass.
Catching Lucy was very short. As the first novella in the series, it didn’t cover much ground except for setting the stage for the series. I enjoyed it but felt it needed more substance. I’m looking forward to continuing to series and hopefully diving deeper into both characters. Thankfully when I read this, this first novella was free, the rest of the series has been released and I can continue reading it as one novel. My recommendation to the author is to create a box set as one purchase so it can be read purchased and read all at once.
Oooh, Harris Cutter all grown up is making me develop all sorts of uneasy feelings…
I LOVED how he loved Lucy, of course, BUT… I didn’t like hearing about him being with others in the past (or anyone who might “tighten his jeans” before he admitted his full-on love for Lucy), I didn’t like how he dealt with Jenna’s situation & I REALLY didn’t like what he was letting happen with Tessa. (Pushing her off your lap is NOT considered hurting a woman, dude.) His lack of judgment skills frightens me where that witch is concerned & I’m not digging it… At. All.
Excited where things are headed for Lucy & Harris but just like Lucy said, “It’s definitely going to be a long month.” But for me, since I waited until all of the books came out… Craving Lucy, here I come! 🙂
