Against all odds, Katniss Everdeen has won the annual Hunger Games with fellow district tribute Peeta Mellark. But it was a victory won by defiance of the Capitol and their harsh rules. Katniss and Peeta should be happy. After all, they have just won for themselves and their families a life of safety and plenty. But there are rumors of rebellion among the subjects, and Katniss and Peeta, to their … their horror, are the faces of that rebellion. The Capitol is angry. The Capitol wants revenge.

As a sequel to The Hunger Games it gives even more suspense and thrill. Definitely a page turner!
Ugh. Man. I’d give this series six stars if that was an option. There are some stories that just make me ache, in a good way–like I just WISH I could write something so amazing, and at the same time I want to celebrate that *somebody* wrote it and it exists in the world. Everything comes together so beautifully in this trilogy: the creativity of …
This is actually my third time reading this book (series) but apparently I didn’t review it before…
Starting right off you know that things are not going to be alright for Katniss. She’s started something with her actions that she could not possibly have foreseen. As a reader, you are drawn in from before you even open the book because you know …
Just as good as the first book and at some points even better.
The characters development from victims to survivors is very impressive.
An excellent read and follow up to the first book
This book is just as wonderful as the first! The characters the wonderful, and the plot will keep you guessing! Wonderful read
It was such a great book I defently recommend this book !
Amazing sequel to Hunger Games!
Well done!
Every so often, I select a Young Adult book to read. After I read the Hunger Games, I had to finish the trilogy… I mean, how could you not, right?
Let’s back up a bit… I love challenges. I am totally in my element watching serial killers on TV shows. (Umm… I didn’t mean that in a sociopath-kinda way… I just mean the thrill of trying to …
2ND book to the page turning twist of The Hunger Games. The game of a lifetime.
Absolutely loved these books I read all three within like four days I think could not put them down loved them
I think everyone has heard of the Hunger Games Trilogy. Whether it’s through the cinematic universe or books. I don’t ever feel movies do books justice. The franchise was well done… but the books are always better so if you enjoyed the movies and haven’t picked up the book. I suggest you do so!
This book is amazing you should get it!
i loved it! this is coming from someone who reads a LOT of these types of books. out of all the books I’ve read I love these ones the most.
I read this so long ago I don’t remember details, but I know I enjoyed most of the book!
Good sequel
The sequel well anticipated and at least brought us answers to what happened after they won the games.
Slightly disappointed by some of the turn of events however, I loved the twist.
The additional characters introduced brought much flavour and spice.
Katniss’ strength inspires me and even though she may appear a little unemotional or strange, …
If you have only seen the movie you are missing out
Catching Fire is simply amazing! I love, love, love the next hunger games and how Suzanne wrote them. Katniss was sadly chosen to compete in the games AGAIN, but this time with all the past victors. Will she make it? 1000000 percent recommend!!!!
Book 2. Catching Fire
The focus is on the dystopian society. A lot on how the systems are different across each of the districts.
Here the characterisations become deeper. Haymitch becomes more central. The enemies more drawn out and slowly, you see that it is not just about a game. It is about so much more.
In Book 1, I felt the association with …
This is a great book, with a terrible ending. Not that it was terribly written, but definitely a cliff hanger that I wasn’t ready for. This book has so much going on. A victory tour, an ultimatum, the 75th hunger games, some interesting new characters, and a whole new layer to the story.
You really begin to see how messed up the Hunger Games makes …
