Home is the sailor, home from the sea…
No red-blooded naval officer takes a challenge like this lying down; but five years is a long time, and beautiful, passionate Morwenna has clearly found a life without him. Can he win back the wife who gave him a reason to survive his ordeal? Or will the woman who haunts his every thought remain eternally out of reach?
Love lost and found? Or love lost forever?
Since hearing of her beloved husband’s death, Morwenna Nash has been mired in grief. After five grim years without him, she must summon every ounce of courage and determination to become a Dashing Widow and rejoin the social whirl. But she owes it to her young daughter to break free of old sorrow and find a new purpose in life, even if that means accepting a loveless marriage.
It’s like a miracle when Robert returns from the grave, and despite the awkward circumstances of his arrival, she’s overjoyed that her husband has come back to her at last. But after years of suffering, he’s not the handsome, laughing charmer she remembers. Instead he’s a grim shadow of his former dashing self. He can’t hide how much he still wants her—but does passion equal love?
Can Morwenna and Robert bridge the chasm of absence, suffering and mistrust, and find the way back to each other?

Good book! Captain Robert Nash comes back from the dead right in time to see his wife getting engaged to someone else. Enjoy!
Gives insight into PTSD
This is one of a fascinating series I’m enjoying. Romantic, moving story.
Easy read with believable characters.
This was a different and good book
Not as interesting as it could have been. Title is misleading
typical romance
It was boring. Nothing really happened as conflict other than dealing with Robert’s PTSD.
It was an enjoyable romp! Very steamy. Quick read.
Its a great romantic book. Kept me
reading . Great characters. I
enjoyed it very much.
It was a good read but not great. Typical story line. I thought there would be more drama in it with the main characters.
Really wasn’t a story. Too much reiteration saying the same thing over and over.
Good story how love endures through trials. I enjoyed this book. Didn’t feel the hero dwelt to long on his past and with his wife learned to live for the future.
Loved it.
Well written, but it wasn’t as much of a page turner as I tend to like.
Two uncertain people find their way home to each other. Small baby steps reignite love.
All of the “Dashing Widows” books are great reads!
I enjoyed the plot and characters – unusual plot.
I loved this book. It was happy, sad, emotional, tender, and well-written.
The characters were wonderful.
Having read some of the others in this series, I was very curious about Captain Nash
