Laura has a way to make paranormal books different with quirkiness. This story continues from the first book so if you haven’t read that, you need to in order for this one to make sense. Daphne is in even more trouble and trying to win back the guy she wants. But what about others that are trying to get her attention? It’s intriguing and keeps you wanting to keep reading. It is a slow burn though and you will not get a resolution here as there is another story that continues from this. But it will have you wanting to pick that one up.

Part 2 of the GrimalkinDaphne is still dealing with her feelings for Bradley, Cade and Heath. A class project brings her together with Heath but can he forgive her? Her twin, Ryan, is still planning on obtaining a family spell book that is kept in a forbidden library. He will spot at nothing for it.
A quick an exciting read on the life of Daphne. Another great read from Laura Greenwood.

We are catching up with Daphne’s story after Mona’s second book now and a lot has changed for them both in this. First of there are kittens EVERYWHERE. Mona’s magic works now sometimes leaving behind a kitten each time and Daphne just loves them. She is still on the outs with Heath after their breakup at the end of the last book and makes a few misguided decisions during this book while being roped closer to Heath by forces beyond her control. There’s still some drama with all the guys in this book since the brother’s best friend Cade can’t keep control of himself for 10 seconds even though it took him forever to even admit he liked her. We get a little peek into the world out side of the academy for the different kinds of magical people. And the hunt for the lost spell is on.

Daphne struggles to cope, still trying to get Heath to forgive her she takes help from another guy who is also interested and leads on a childhood sweetheart to make Heath Jelous however funny thing is she has real feelings for all three of them which just complicated her world even more.
Witty fun plot with wonderful characters – Brilliant storey and great read.
*Spoiler Alert*
Heath finds what Daphne (FMC) had planned and wont have anything to do with her. Thanks to his so-called Fiance Emma. Apart from him she ends up in a fake Boyfriend relationship with Bradley as well as finding out another guy is interested in her too Cade (but being her brothers friend brings its own problems) This series gets better and better. Yeah its a slow burn book but the characters and the story keeps you interested. So its a great read all round
Daphne and Health are still not speaking, she wants to fix it so badly. When she sees Emma again trying to win Heath over, she loses it. She runs into Cade, he tries to help her feel better and gives her advice. She knows how he feels about her, she has feelings for him too, but she wants Heath.
Daphne is finally about to speak to Heath, she explains everything. Then plays off that she is now seeing Bradley, which makes it complicated for them
Health decides to help Daphne get into the vampire only library, she finds out that they are breaking rules. They find the family grimoire, perform the cat spell.
But doing that spell has complicated her life and seem like her love life is equally complicated.
Can’t wait to see what else occurs with Daphne and the men in her life. What is the deal with the grimoire.

A vampire, a warlock, or a wizard? Does Daphne really have to choose? Daphne has to juggle the affections of three men, and decide who she really likes. But Heath is still mad at her and Ryan still wants the spell from the book in the vampire library. Daphne still wants Heath but how does she keep Heath from Emma’s clutches. And what about the cat spell. It looks like the spells in the book are dark magic. What will happen if she and Ryan do the spell? So the second book in this series is funny and sweet at the same time. Progress is made on Ryan’s plan to get into the Vampire Library as things start to heat up in Daphne’s life. School seems to take a back seat to her love life that made me laugh out loud. Plus more of the mystery is revealed and the ending was stellar and made me laugh even more. I did like the school scenes and the heat that is building up between Daphne and the guys. Just a well written easily read story that kept my attention and kept me reading until the end.
I feel for Daphne. Heath still is not talking to her, Ryan, her brother, is still pushing to find the spell (and still keeping secrets), plus two other guys want her undivided attention as well. This is a fun look at Academy life and all the teenage angst that comes with it. Be prepared for a hilarious ending. I requested an advanced reader copy and am under no obligation to leave this review.
Enjoyable read
This is a well written story and the second installment of a three-book series. Great characters and some very quirky nuances. Love triangle in the making. The dynamitic between Daphne and the guys that like her.
I have to say I am loving this series! I love Daphne’s directness in this second instalment , love the fun storyline, love the characters old and new! A fun quick and quirky tale that I do suggest you read from the first book otherwise you are missing out!
