Daphne Chambers and her twin brother, Ryan, started attending Grimalkin Academy which gives them the opportunity of finding an old family spell that, according to legend, will allow a Chambers’ member to turn into a cat. Her brother thinks the spell will be found somewhere in the vampire library down in the catacombs. Ryan figures that if she gets cozy with a vampire, she’ll be able to access their library and convinces her to give it a try. However, she doesn’t expect to actually fall for the vampire she chooses from class. Heath is a genuinely nice guy! And two other guys from her past also would like her attention. Things keep getting more complicated and stressful. And why does Miss Feathertop keep giving her a hard time?
This is a very enjoyable book, the humorous antics keeping it intriguing and fun as the characters interact. The reader can see already that this will be a fun-filled adventure if Daphne can make it through the first semester! Grab your copy and enjoy the craziness!
Daphne Chambers is in her first year at the Academy with her twin brother Ryan so that they can learn to become a witch/warlock. Her brother has decided that they need to pursue the legend about their family so he has his sister get close to a paranormal so that he can get some information. The characters are entertaining and the story line looks pretty interesting too. This is a romantic comedy with a little suspense. Cliffhanger.

Our heroine’s brother wants to find a hidden spell that they can use to turn into cats. But he doesn’t seem to want to do any of the work.
So this is book one of a new series at Grimalkin Academy, not to be confused with the other series at the academy where every time the character casts a spell, cats appear.
So what is with all the cats? Why doesn’t the spell turn them into something useful, like owls or horses? But enough of that. This is a young adult paranormal series that also has a reverse harem thing going on. There are also crossovers/tie-ins with the other academy series, but it is not necessary to read the other one first.
The story itself is well written and easy to read with a plot that is easy to follow, yet has a few unexpected surprises along the way. The characters are well developed and I really like our heroine. She just needs to stand up for herself a little more. Overall, this was an excellent evening read and I look forward to seeing where this one goes.

First let me state that I received an Advance Reader Copy, (ARC), but this in no way influences my review. I always leave an honest review.
Wow!!! What gr8 story. It was a quick read. It kind of has a cliffhanger as it leaves you wanting more. You want to know what happens between Daphne& Heath. I’m looking forward to reading the next book. I recommend this read. 5 Thumbs up
Daphne (FMC) is a witch at Grimalkin Academy. If youve read Grimalkin Academy Kittens series you’ll have already met her, Mona (her friend and roommate) and Ryan her twin brother. Daphne gets her own set of books in this series. When Ryan gets involved in a hair-brained idea she meets Heath. A vampire who she needs to help her do that but things dont work out the way she thinks and she starts to like Heath. Which brings its own complications. Loved Daphne and Mona in the Kittens series and this one is just as good. A damn good read
Daphne is enjoying her time in Grimalkin Academy, she loves to learn. She has a best friend in her roommate Mona. Then her brother brings up a spell that will turn them in cats. But she will have to befriend a vampire.
Daphne signs up for a class that is heavy in vampires, she meets one that sparks her interest. He is nothing like anyone she ever met. She is enjoying being with him. Apparently, he is supposed to marry one of the girls in the new class. She didn’t like her before.
She is also dealing with her a former boyfriend and her brother’s best friend.
When it is found out that was the real reason for her joining the class, she lost more than she thought.
I enjoyed the build up of the characters, look forward to the next book to see what is going on Daphne. How will see fix everything

ONE ENGAGING ADVENTURE!!!
Enthralling treat! Laura rocks this baby from the start. A tumultuous wild ride with a surplus of unexpected misfortune and surprising incidents that blasts all of your emotions into play perfectly. One compelling storyline and gripping plot jolts this baby together smoothly and without a hitch. All the drama, intrigue and suspense make for one incredible experience. Twists and turns, ups and downs, along with a few bumps and bruises bring this baby together fluidly. One heart pounding, steady paced, pulse racing, page flipping delight that hooks you from the start and reels you in for the duration. The characters and scenes are written with such realism and undeniable passion that propels this bad boy bursting to life delightfully. Amazing job Laura, thanks for sharing this bad boy with us.
What a fun start to a new series that is about Daphne, her brother Ryan, and the friends she meets at Grimalkin Academy. It is a hysterical start to a story that mixes witches and vampires and teenage hormones. Plus there is a bit of mystery hinted at that has me guessing what might occur next. Daphne was a hoot as she tries to date her vampire. I especially cannot wait to see how she resolves the ending. Just means I need to read the next story in the series. This one made me laugh while reading it.
How will Daphne handle three potential boyfriends? I loved Daphne’s character. She’s nice, pretty, funny, and smart. She loves learning and loves being at Grimalkin Academy. But there is a legend in her family about a spell and turning into cats. Her twin brother Ryan cons cons her into befriending a vampire to get into the vampire library. The problem? She likes Heath the vampire. Now she has a vampire boyfriend, and two friends from her past vying for her affections. What will she do? Quick and fun read. I’m looking forward to the next one.
I think Daphne is getting the short end of the stick. Her brother is the driving force behind finding the family spell, but Daphne is taking all the risk. She needs to find a vampire to find the spell and meets Heath. I loved Heath, how easy he was to get to know and was so pleased Daphne changed her mind. Emma is the typical mean girl out to make life difficult and she sure does. This is gonna be one heck of a semester!
I love academy reads and this one is well written, fun, a slow burn reverse harem paranormal read that hooked me from the start! Loved the storyline and Daphne and cannot wait to see where the next book takes us!
Misunderstandings happen
So, this book is about Daphne and some of her love life stuff as well as bringing the other characters from Grimalkin Academy: Kittens into the book. Daphine has a rival, not only in academic stuff but in her choice of a boyfriend. Looking forward to reading about what happens next.
