“AL Jackson at her best. She’s a wordsmith. A magnificent storyteller. A poet and a romantic. Mix all of this with some page-turning suspense, and a climactic ending, in more ways than one, and you’ve got yet another must-read.” -USA Today Bestselling author, Lauren Rowe

5 Spiraling Stars!!!
Yes!!!! Here’s another book of AL Jackson’s to add to my favorite read list.
Emily’s the lead singer in the country/rock group Carolina George. They’ve worked so so hard their entire lives to make it big. They’ve just about made it.
Then six months ago Emily came across something she wish she could forget. She wonders what her brother has gotten himself into but she can’t get the courage to ask him. ESP after what was done to her.
Since that night six months ago Emily’s not sure how much longer she can keep up the act that everything’s fine. The thought of getting on stage every night and singing is getting harder and harder.
One night on stage Emily has a panic attack and runs off. She ends up in a bar where she meets a dark and mysterious stranger. He instantly made her feel things she’s never felt before and when he turns down her advances she never expected to see him again.
Royce is on a mission to takedown the two guys who hurt his younger sister and took away the thing he cherished the most.
Stuck in a job he’s got no interest in is only a means to an end he’s looking forward to having. But, meeting Emily was never part of his plan.
Royce never Met anybody like Emily. She belongs on stage and people deserve to hear her voice. Meeting her doesn’t make him change his mind in fact it makes him want revenge more then ever.
Royce might’ve lied and neglected to tell Emily 100% of the truth. The only thing he didn’t lie about was his feelings towards her. Royce just hopes and prays Emily can understand everything and forgive him.
Once I started this bad boy I couldn’t put it down!!! I was 1100% with Emily when it came to Royce. I hardly knew anything about him and yet I found myself saying Leif who and OMG I never thought Royce would bump Leif but well it happened Lmao.
Emily had my heartbreaking for her. Her anxiety was real. She was hurting while trying to survive what she went thru alone bc she felt she couldn’t tell anybody. She was scared for her brother bc she didn’t know what kind of trouble he’d gotten himself into and hurting bc she was letting the guys in the band down by shutting down from everything going on inside.
And Royce. This mysterious fully tattooed man who can sing and play guitar and looks like he’d gut somebody and not think twice. Even without knowing exactly what happened to Royce you can see he was hurting. He was cut deep and I was hoping he took out those who hurt him and that him and Emily got their HEA together.
This was another home run for A. L. Jackson. She had keep me invested from the prologue to the last sentence. But, I felt the end was rushed after the bomb dropped and I liked the epilogue. Just wished there was more to it. Oh how things got from the last chapter to the epilogue. Other then that I really enjoyed this book and looking forward to the next two guys of Carolina George to get their HEA.
Let me start by saying that AL Jackson is one of my favorite authors. Her writing is lyrical and almost like a poem. She creates great characters and love stories full of angst. With all of that being said, I have to honestly say that I did not fall in love with this story. I felt like the Emily and Royce met and right away they were in love. I didn’t get a feel for why they cared about each other, besides physical attraction. I wish there had been less poetic lyrical words and more of an actual story in this case to make me understand why they cared about each other. Past books always feature 2 main characters who both have something dark they are hiding from their past. This one is no different. I just did not fully find their backstories fully made sense. I hate to make this sound overly critical, but it is my honest opinion. I can’t wait to give the next book in this series a shot because I feel like I may have just read this book at the wrong time and it just didn’t click.
Emily is focused on her band and it’s success. She ends up spending one night with a tattooed bad boy. She never expected to see him again. She just wants to sing for her band Carolina George. Royce is tasked with getting the band signed to a contract. He has made mistakes and had heartbreak in the past. Can Emily and Royce make things work or will past mistakes keep them apart?
So awesome to see Amy give us a rockstar romance again she does them so well, and this is definitely one of her best ever. There are definitely fireworks going off when Emily meets Royce in a bar.
Emily has escaped to the bar after she leaves the stage before the end of her band’s set. She tries to lose herself in tequila and forget what happened to her three months ago. This incident has ruined her life and threatens to ruin the lives of her band mates as she is too scared to sign the contract with a record company that will bring them fame and fortune.
As a creepy guy at a bar starts to come onto her, she is rescued by the most beautiful man that she has ever seen. Unable to deny the heat between them Emily knows that she needs to spend a night with this man to help her to forget and though they leave together he refuses to sleep with her as it will be a big mistake for her.
Imagine her shock when this guy arrives for her meeting with the band. He has been sent by the record company to sign Carolina George no matter what and decides to go on tour with them to get to know them better, really he is unable deny his fascination with Emily.
What seems at first to be a slow burn romance is actually so much more. It is obvious that Royce is not all that he pretends to be and he has ulterior motives but it is hard to guess what they are. Even though he is the bad guy he is there for Emily, helping her to rebuild her confidence and convincing she is a star who belongs on the stage.
All the way through this story I was wondering what was the big secret that Emily was hiding, and what did Royce really want from her, and was he going to break her heart again.
Amy did an amazing job with this story. I was totally enthralled and unable to put it down and I was not expecting that ending. It is a story of love and loyalty between family whether it be siblings or a band family. Don’t miss this one if you are a A.L. Jackson fan, and if you haven’t read anything from her yet this is a great one to start with.
Catch Me When I Fall is the second book in the Falling Stars series and can be read as a complete standalone. This book tugged on my heartstrings and had the perfect amount of angst. I haven’t always enjoyed rock-star romances but this one is so dang good.
Emily is the lead singer of her country rock band, Carolina George, and Royce is head of A&R at Mylton Records. He is put in charge of getting the band to sign a record deal. From the beginning, things are not quite as they seem for either Emily or Royce. They are both hiding things and I loved the way the secrets unfolded in this story.
If you’re looking for an emotional read with the perfect amount of suspense, grab this up right now!
Grateful to have received a complimentary ARC copy to honestly review.
4.5* Emily is fighting through some secrets that she’s holding onto and hasn’t shared with anyone. When she first meets Royce, it’s like he’s the first person that actually sees her and not who she is on stage. I loved the connection between right from the very start. Is he everything she needs or everything that she really doesn’t?
Royce is a broken man who will do what it takes to get what he wants. He also has a super big heart that you don’t expect at first. He’s had his heart shattered in the past and is looking for a way to put his heart back together. Is she the answer he didn’t know that he was looking for?
I was questioning what was going to happen between these two with their secrets. Was one of their secrets going to be too big once it came out to forgive? Was it going to draw them together or force them apart?
Of course A.L Jackson has given us another great story filled with lots of chemistry, suspense and heart stopping moments!! Emily and Royce’s story was excellent! I always love her writing because we always get Dual POV’s and being in both H/H heads- and listening to in on Audible First before reading the book!! Absolute Perfection!!
Both Emily and Royce are holding onto secrets and protecting the ones they love.. what happens when some secrets are to hard to keep, while the other secrets can change everything for these two..
So happy to have received this ARC! Amy blew me away with this book, it was everything I hoped for and more. Her amazing writing style always gets me. It’s so poetic and capturing. I first listened to this book on Audible and it was even better the second time around. I fell in love with Royce even more. He’s absolutely amazing and on fire. His and Emily’s attraction is instant, but their love is slow burn. He truly cares for her and will do anything to protect her. Emily is sweet, caring, and protective of those she loves. There are a lot of swoony moments, angst, heartbreak and suspense. Highly recommended!
I absolutely loved this book. Amy never ceases to amaze me with her books. This one blew me away. Loved it
Great book and audio. Loved seeing the boys back, and meeting new characters. Loved Emily’s story. Shes an amazing tough, strong powerful women. Emily has had a hard go of life, but learns to find herself. Royce is the lovable bad boys we all need and want on our side. Royce’s determination and passion hit you with all the feels
5 Stars is not even close to what this book deserves!!! 10 stars, maybe 20, would be more like it. AL Jackson is an incredible storyteller!! I can’t explain her way of writing but it sucks me in every single time. Catch Me When I Fall is an emotional, dramatic, sexy page turner!!! I could not put it down!! Royce is the quintessential “bad boy” but he is just so sexy and sweet. Emily is full of secrets and this keeps her from signing on the line to make all her dreams come true. There is so much story here. So much more than just a love story or guy meets girl and they share a night. This is why I love AL Jackson’s stories. They are more than just romance. They are more than just drama. They fill my heart with appreciation because they are so good, so raw, and they allow me to lose myself in the characters lives. That is the sign of an incredible book and an amazing author!!!
Catch Me When I Fall by A.L. Jackson was a steamy story that was full of angst and suspense and I could not stop reading. I devoured it. The feels. Royce is determined to achieve his goal, but what does that mean and what will it ultimately cost him? I just loved Royce so much. He was a complete alpha who was strong, resolute and protective. Emily is barely surviving. She is hiding a secret and it weighs on her. As the lead singer for the new band, Carolina George, they depend on her. But is it what she really wants?
When Emily meets a mysterious stranger who she shared steamy chemistry with, can she give in? But what happens when she discovers who this man truly is? She wants him, but for him it would be a huge mistake. Can they deny what they feel? Will he be able to protect Emily and achieve his goal? I loved Catch Me When I Fall by A.L. Jackson and highly recommend it.

Happy reading!
Emily is the lead singer for an upcoming country band Carolina George. The band has been offered a contract with a major record producer, but Emily is hesitant to sign. Unbeknownst to her band, Emily has been through a traumatic experience. She feels lost and cannot seem to write any music. Royce works for the record company wanting to sign Carolina George. He is handsome and Emily is instantly attracted to him when they run in to one another at a local bar one night. After a sexy encounter the two part ways. It’s not until the next day she finds out exactly who he is and she is not happy with him. I thoroughly enjoyed reading Catch Me When I Fall. A. L Jackson has a way with words that grab your attention and hold on to it until the very end. I loved that it was romantic suspense. I can’t wait to see what she writes next. Great read. Highly recommend.
Emily’s life is crumbling around her and she feels like she has no one to turn to, the delicate things she is dealing with are not something she can tell just anyone, their life altering things. Her anxiety is at an all time high, and she feels the walls caving in on her, she just needs a break, a small breath of fresh air to clear her head and get her life back on track. But her band is depending on her and a break is the last thing they need with a record deal on the line.
When things all start to come to an head, and she feels like she just can’t do it anymore she flees and finds the nearest bar to drown her sorrows and pain in alcohol. But her plan hits a little snag when a handsome stranger with striking good looks pulls up a seat beside her. He could just be the answer to all her problems…
Catch Me When I Fall introduces us to two broken souls who are in desperate need of saving, alone they are a disaster waiting to happen, but together they are something else entirely, unbreakable, strong, the perfect half to one another. Emily has been dealt her fair share of pain, and watching her try to keep her head above water was rough on the ticker, poor girl desperately needed a hero. Her traumatic past was swallowing her whole… but then Royce, her hero, came along and things started to shift a bit. He was a calming, yet protective, force that brought her some much needed peace. I loved watching these two come together and become one, their heartbreaking story had many highs and lows, but it was so good for my heart, the feels were unreal with this one! I highly recommend you take a chance on this one, it’s words will take you on a journey your heart will never forget!
I requested an advanced copy of this title from the publisher, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest and unbiased opinion.
Catch Me When I Fall by A.L. Jackson is book two in her Falling Stars Series. While every book is about another couple and can be read as a stand-alone, I recommend to read the books in order. The previous book is Kiss the Stars and tells Leif’s story.
CMWIF is Emily and Royce’s heart-wrenching, emotional story.
Emily is the lead singer of the up and coming band Carolina George. She loves her bandmates like family, but she’s very tired. And when some secrets are revealed she just need to take a breather. But the new second in command of their label has other ideas.
Royce is a driven man with his own agenda. He’s already through a lot and has the scars to prove it. He’s driven on revenge and takes a pawn when necessary. On his way he makes some grave mistakes and that will cost him. Royce the alpha wolf in sheepskin and Emily the good woman who loves to fix everyones problems, easy peesy, right – not at all.
CMWIF is an emotional read, with great writing and a storyline that kept me glued to the pages.
I listened to this on audible before I read it and I absolutely loved this story both ways. AL Jackson as always never fails to deliver a story that draws you and makes you want more. I couldn’t put the book down but I didn’t want it to end either!
Emily is a singer with an up and coming band Carolina George. She is so sweet but a bad encounter has left her free falling and extremely shaken. She can’t talk to anyone about what happened but its starting to impact the band just as they are on the verge of signing a big contract.
One night after fleeing the stage after a panic attack she meets Royce and the chemistry between them is undeniably hot! they can’t keep their hands off each other and end up having a hot night back at her hotel. The next morning Emily comes face to face with her hot stranger as he turns out to be the new bands new manager.
I loved Royce, he is trying to protect Emily whilst trying to accomplish his goal that is kept hidden from everyone. They both have seriously big secrets that could bring things down around them like a pack of cards. They just need to be there for each other.
I absolutely loved this one and can’t wait to see what AL Jackson brings us next. I really want Emily’s brothers story! he put his sister in an awful position and I want to see more about him.
I love Royce and Emily’s story, this is the second book in the Falling Stars series, a fantastic rockstar standalone book full of angst and insta-lust / love. There are secrets and emotions that will have you reading from start to finish non-stop. Definitely another fantastic story by AL Jackson. The audiobook is narrated by Virginia Rose and Jason Clarke so I can recommend it as well.
A.L.Jackson just turned me into this emotional mess while reading Catch Me When I Fall. This is angst and heartache at the very best. This is also about swoon and goosebumps. Royce and Emily’s story truly took me through the full spectrum of feelings- happy, sad, angry, broken, hopeful and healed.
Royce Reilly has been given a very important job by his devilish stepfather. To sign up Carolina George into their record label. But Emily, the lead singer of the upcoming band is not willing. And so Royce decides to visit them and spend some time on tour with them. But on the first meeting: sparks fly, hearts crash and souls ignite. This is going to be a whole lot of complicated. Emily grabs Royce like he is the lifeline to her decaying and dying heart. But Royce can be her greatest mistake and regret. And she doesn’t know the depth of darkness in this broken man’s heart.
I feel this is the most brutally honest story I read by A.L. Jackson. She always brings loads of pain that just cripples my heart. But this story went an extra mile. This story has this edge of raw darkness and soul crunching emotions. Royce and Emily both had a hellish journey so far. And they are like hope and love to each other. Both of them lost so much and they are probably scarred beyond repair. But two imperfect and hurting hearts found peace and acceptance in their stormy relationship. This story includes so much heartbreak but that is worth it.
Royce is the man you should fear but at the same time you want to soothe and love. He carries this devastating rage and need for vengeance inside. He also carries this breathtaking protector side. Emily’s breaking heart needed that mix of intensity and softness. And I am proud of this woman. Proud of her resilience, her silent strength, her loyalty, her talent and her ability to love unconditionally. Their chemistry was this aching magnetic thing that I could feel inside me heart. I felt like a voyeour standing in middle of that incredible love! The jaw dropping story line made me go crazy whole lot of times. And that happily ever after was simply beautiful after their explosive and tortuous journey.
Catch Me When I Fall by A.L. Jackson was a mesmerising and truly inspiring story of two wounded souls. The emotions drowned me and I never wanted it to end.

This was a refreshing read for me, I have read many rock star romance books but not that many where the lead singer is female. I really enjoyed this from start to finish!
Carolina George is in a country band that is on the up, with lead singer Emily. Things are going great until that dreading thing called ‘a past’ catches up with her. I love Emily, she is a strong character and I felt like I was on this journey with her, I felt quite emotional at times.
Royce is a tattooed bad boy and he is delish! The second him and Emily meet there is a chemistry that is plain to see. There are so many problems for their relationship though. It may seem doomed from the start with all the secrets and misunderstandings. It’s an emotional rollercoaster for sure.
This was a well written story, I loved the characters and the connection they had. Overall, a great book to get lost in for a few or more hours.
