Thomas Walsh knows the number one rule in the film industry. Don’t get involved with the talent. But resisting the urge to take the big screen to the bedroom can be hell when the lead actor on the set looks good enough to eat…one slow lick at a time.Peter Erickson’s latest role as a gay man hits a little too close to home. He’s still in the closet and secretly grieving the death of his lover. … lover. Then an enchanting production assistant catches his eye, and he’s surprised by the instant attraction that stirs more than his wounded soul. When the two men are caught on camera in a very intimate pose, both Thomas and Peter are afraid they’ve caught a tiger by the tail.

This was a quick, easy read which I finished in a couple of hours. The characters are sweet and I enjoyed each of their inner dialogue. Sex was hot and intimate. It was a nice change of pace for me living in the US to read a book set in Canada.
Catch a Tiger by the Tail: This story was fantastic. I loved all the characters and how they bounce off of each other. The dialog was amazing throughout the story. It was a great romance that happened at the right time of the story is how it should happen in a relationship. It had a lot of emotions throughout. I really enjoyed it.
Owning your truth can be liberating. Thomas, production assistand is not out to his family. Peter is an A lister, double Oscar nominated actor. His co-workers always acknowledge him as a nice guy. They were each dragging a bit of baggage about their personal sexuality. Peter was mourning the death of his closeted lover Desmond. Thomas had a story to tell. Getting to know each other was fun and brave. Thomas and Peter were amazing characters. Good story. Romantic, cathargic. Well done! I received an ARC from Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Nice cover!
**First Time Reader** I really enjoyed this super sweet and romantic tale of two men who were attracted at first sight but who decided to try a relationship due to a publicity outing. Peter and Thomas had some differences that could have affected their new found relationship but they had one thing in common…both weren’t publicly admitting they were gay. Somehow that “first date” they had was liberating to both and they were able to be real. Thomas backstory was really sad and bittersweet and the care and patience Peter had with him was so special. Peter had is own personal issues but being with Thomas allowed him to heal a lot. i was glad how thing worked out for the guys at the end. The epilogue with Thomas, his family and Peter was a sweet ending to a lovely book.

This was adorable! A low-angst, May-December romance between two closeted gay men, one a movie star and one a production assistant. Peter, the older of the two, doesn’t realize his long affair with a famous director was an open secret known by many. Still mourning his lover’s death, he arrives on set thinking he’s been cast in a hetero romance, only to find out the director has made a switch—it’s now a gay romance. (Let me add to the chorus of readers clamoring for a book for Cole, the other lead actor.) Thomas, the cute young assistant assigned to Peter, works up the nerve to ask Peter out for dinner, and reader, that scene is adorable—food trucks and tiger’s tail ice cream. But a paparazzo catches their spark on film, which leads to a favorite trope: fake relationship, but with an added twist—this gives Peter the chance to come out, something Thomas wasn’t planning to do!
Both characters are sweethearts, and I rooted for their HEA from the start. A few steamy scenes, but overall a sweet, tasty, low-angst short novella—the perfect little bite of romance to soothe my frazzled spirit.
Sweet & Steamy is my favorite flavor.
Peter, the star and Thomas, a member of the movie production team, meet on the Canadian set of Peter’s latest film. Both men are dealing with or more accurately, burying past hurts, because both men are hiding their truest selves from the world. Peter has been mourning his recently deceased closeted lover and unable to share his pain with anyone— although his family of colleagues know he’s gay.
Thomas is the virginal assistant on the set of a Peter’s movie, suffering a world of guilt over the circumstances of his beloved brother’s death. Both men are immediately attracted to each other and when they share a meal and a special ice cream dessert they’re spotted and outed by the press. Both men decide to take the opportunity to embrace the moment and admit their sexual preference to the world. Peter’s world is the Hollywood bubble. Thomas’ world are his work colleagues and his family.
This page turning novella was emotional and sweetly satisfying. Both Peter and Thomas take the chance to see whether their connection will blossom into something more. Both fear what coming out will mean to loved ones and careers. The reader feels both their fears and the exquisite relief as coming out releases a lifetime burden of denial. The descriptions of work and play are vivid, the dialogue spot-on, the sexy-times torrid yet beautifully moving.
This was my first story by Gabbi Grey, she did a really good job! Thomas is a PA on a movie set, he is star struck by Jason who is deeply closeted. Super easy to read and low angst. They have instant chemistry. A really good Hollywood insta love story!

A sweet, slow-burn until it catches fire and then … phew!
Read the story in one sitting. The heroes are sweet, supporting characters well-developed, and the setting is a ton of fun.
Production assistant Thomas Walsh has the unique privilege of encountering action actor Peter Erickson when he accepts a role in a romance movie. The star is even more handsome in person and much kinder than he expects. Much to his surprise, the actor asks him to join him for a meal and Thomas shows him a down-to-earth experience that ends in both men sharing a taste of Thomas’s ice cream cone. The flavor Thomas selects for himself is Tiger Tail, a unique blend of orange and licorice! A photo finds its way to the media and Peter takes advantage of the opportunity to come out as homosexual. Something he couldn’t do when he was involved (and in love) with a closeted famous director with three failed heterosexual marriages and four children. There are many other wonderful things Peter misses out on in his closeted ten-year relationship that he is able to experience with Thomas, the love that quickly develops between the two is completely plausible. The story was fast yet smooth and totally complete with the psychoemotional growth of both characters clearly demonstrated in the narrative. Splendidly narrated by Michael Dean, this audiobook was well worth the money, time, and will be listed among my favorite short reads. Very well done, Gabbi Grey!

This was my first book by Gabbi Grey and I enjoyed it. I liked her easy going writing style and quickly got into the story.
Peter is a well-known actor who meets Thomas, a production assistant, on set. Both men have pasts and both men are cagey about their sexual attitudes. As the two eat ice cream on the beach, a picture is snapped that is pretty explicit and it quickly goes public.
I liked this sweet love story of an insta-love. The two together are hot and also very likable. Unfortunately, due to the shortness of the book, it lacks a bit of depth, and Thomas and Peter’s past is only scratched at on the surface.
The audiobook was narrated by Michael Dean and, as always, he was a pleasure to listen to. He read the story emotionally and with different voices. As always, perfect. Michael made the story just that little bit sweeter.
I requested a free review copy of this audiobook and am now leaving a honest opinion.
I’m reviewing the audio edition. This instant attraction, age gap story is heartwarming. This short story has so much packed into it. There is the secrecy and the decisions to come out. There is the strong attraction that just can’t be denied. There is the age gap that always makes someone stand back and evaluate. Then there is always the family issues that cause so much pain. This story flows right along and this became a enjoyable listen for me. Michael Dean’s narration really made this story come to life and gave these characters personality.

This only took over 2 hours to read.
This was my first time reading this author and I really enjoyed it. I thought the plot was interesting and I loved all the characters. I thought the 2 MCs had great chemistry.
I did think it was super short. It could of been expanded so much to show more of their relationship grow. I did feel like there was instalove that was bit extreme but they were adorable and I loved them together and thought they had believable instant chemistry. I just wanted more. If this were expanded into a longer book and there was a natural build to the relationship it has the potential to be a 5 star read cause I do love these 2 men together and the plot. It’s very sweet.
Update.

Michael Dean is fabulous as always. His voice is so fantastic and he brings the story to life. He expressed all the emotions well and did all the characters voices. Even the female voices were great.
The story was just as great the 2nd time. Also, now I know there is a second book so it makes me feel better about this one being cut short but I’m leaving my rating the same seeing I was asked just to rate this content alone but I highly recommend reading Soltise Surprise. It is a 5 star read.
Catch a Tiger by the Tail is a sweet contemporary romance between a hunky Hollywood actor and a passionate production assistant. From the start I immediately fell in love with Thomas’ spunk and drive. He’s enthusiastic about his job as a production assistant and loves the work he does on movies. The romance and relationship development between Peter and Thomas was delightful – I enjoyed the magnetic attraction they had for each other and how fast and hard they fell for each other. The drama that their relationship caused was also fun to experience, and of course, I loved the happy ending.
The audiobook was narrated by Michael Dean and he did a fantastic job. Michael really embodied each character perfectly. The story was captivating and enjoyable, and the well done audiobook production was the lovely cherry on top.
New to me author, insta-love
This seemed a swift and easy to listen to book. Insta-love, where the two main characters fall in love instantly, and that’s about it.
Michael Dean does an excellent job with the narration, Clear, precise and only sped up to 1.10 on audible.

Cute, low-angst, insta-love.
This was a short, insta-love story. Peter and Thomas actually go from closeted acquaintances to all-in, family-ed up in less than three weeks. Not really a fake relationship trope, because they actually start dating for real, even though they do so publicly.
I maybe would have preferred the book to delve a bit deeper into both character’s feelings (especially their grief over losing their loved ones), as it can result a bit “superficial” sometimes. Nonetheless, it’s very pleasant and enjoyable, and Michael Dean’s narration made it a very good listen!
I really enjoyed this light romance. Peter and Thomas have to step out of their closets and they do it willingly for each other. Thomas opened up about his past and Peter gave him honesty and comfort. Peter was able to find the same comfort about his loss. I liked that Peter was able to be honest about his past relationship instead of trying to see it through rose-colored glasses. Thomas’s family made me smile, especially his mom.
Audiobook: well done narration

My first Gabbi Grey book and I loved it!
This was a great little story. It’s a coming-out and insta-love with fairly little angst. I really enjoy books of this length because I can easily finish them in one evening. Michael Dean did his usual great job with his performance of the audiobook.
I’ll be checking out more stories by this author!

A picture is worth a thousand words. What happens when two closeted guys get outed innocently? They form a fake alliance and milk it for all it’s worth.
New to me author Gabbi Grey penned a fairy tale of what if. What if A-lister Peter was suddenly opened to the possibility of living life openly, something that had evaded him for ten years. And what if the younger Thomas was finally able to fulfill a fantasy. Now the answer to the question was: what happened when the director yelled, CUT? An out for you book that concluded happily.
I voluntarily and honestly reviewed this book without bias or persuasion from the author through Booksprout.
Thomas Walsh is a production assistant who can’t seem to resist the new actor on the set. Crossing the line is a big no-no. Will he listen to his heart?
Peter Erickson is a closeted gay man. The role he’s currently playing is closer to home than he’d like. All while grieving his partner’s death. His eyes lay upon a certain production assistant and all reason goes out of the window.
Thomas and Peter were caught on camera. Now its make or break for them. Will they go for broke and risk it all to be happy? Can Peter accept who he is and work with Thomas in this newfound liberation?
Nice, quick read between two people who know the film industry isn’t kind to secrets.

This is a whirlwind romance: Peter (actor) and Thomas (production assistant) meet on set, go out for dinner, and make it to the HEA within 2 1/2 weeks. It’s fast paced, but you still get a sense of their personalities and quirks. Both protagonists are good people, although Peter is a bit of an enigma compared to Thomas, whose personality and backstory steal the show, despite the split perspective narration. Quick, sweet, and charming.
