The Henchmen return, this time with CASH as our leading man.CASHMy life has been about three things- brotherhood, good times, and women. Easy. Nothing complicated. That was until Willow Swift came barging back into my life, face bloodied, banging at the gates of The Henchmen compound calling in a favor owed. Now a marker is a marker and I had to make good, but if there was one woman in the world … woman in the world I didn’t need in my life, it was the hard-as-stone, hot-as-sin Willow Swift and whatever mysterious ghosts from her past that were haunting her present.
WILLOW
My life has been nothing but two things: hard and complicated. The last person I wanted in my business was the notorious love-em and leave-em Cash, but I needed help and he was the only one I could lean on without worrying about him finding out about my past. But I was starting to wonder if maybe he was his own kind of dangerous bent on tearing down some things I had long since learned were not possible for me- like falling for a guy I could not, ever, let see the real me.
While this can be read as a stand-alone, you will get more out of this book if you read “Reign” and “Monster” first.

Gah! Talk about a badass bitch! Lo was a great character! Total lady boner going on for her! And Cash the manwhore lol! I thought they were perfect for each other. I love the way Jessica Gadziala writes. The description of her characters really help me imagine what they look like and I love how her stories flow. She gives great detail without overdoing it. I’m very excited to read about the other Henchmen and all the other players in the Navesink Bank universe!
I found Cash to be impossible to resist! Yeah, he shared his delicious charms with lots of ladies, but that was his charm. Despite the fact that quite a few women knew what he was like in bed, his ease and his confidence didn’t give you room to hate. What’s not to love?
So Cash’s story started off a little like enmity at first sight. He was a little younger than Lo, but he knew what he liked and what she had going on… he didn’t like. He wasn’t opposed to putting down people who deserved to get put down, but the fact that she did it for money really grated on his nerves. But there was something about her that he craved.
See Lo was a lot of things…
Gorgeous. Smart. Intuitive. Strong.
Leader of the group known as Hailstorm. Not much is known about exactly what they do, but we learn they do a lot. This group is made of up ex-military, former street gangs, and people with certain skills who are looking for a place to belong.
A badass by anyone’s standards. She doesn’t back down from a fight or worthy cause.
A hopeless romantic. We’ve seen what she’ll do for people who are in love.
A woman who isn’t afraid to get dirty, get hurt, get messy. She throws down!
She’s also someone who wasn’t always the woman she appears to be. When the horrific past she thought she escaped comes hurtling into her present, Cash seems to be the perfect person to help her deal with her problems. Her reinforced steel walls seem to have a vulnerability when it comes to him and pretty soon, Cash is witness to everything ugly that Lo has had to overcome.
It took a while for Lo, who didn’t really know any better, to truly see how much better she was with Cash. As for him, he wasn’t aware he could feel the way about a woman the way he felt about Lo. Forever never seemed to be a possibility for either of them. Through the blood, sweat, tears and pain that it took to see the other side, these two forged a rock solid relationship that defied either of their expectations. It was beautiful and rough and perfect for them.
I don’t always know what to expect from the stories Jessica Gadziala pushes out, but her heroes… can’t help but love ’em. I’m off to read Wolf’s story next and I’m excited to see what mayhem finds this silent and fierce biker. I wonder if we’ll get a full sentence out of him 😀
4.5 Stars
I’m more than a little late to the party when it comes to Jessica Gadziala, and only read Reign the first of The Henchmen MC series last year.
I love a strong, sassy, resilient, take no prisoners heroine and that’s exactly what you get with Lo. Cash on the other hand is a dirty talking bad boy with a heart of gold. He’s also quite funny and very loyal to the Henchman MC.
I love an MC romance and Lo and Cash are dynamic, complex and intriguing and their story is full of intrigue, suspense, action, and drama. The connection and chemistry they share is undeniable.
I think I really need to check out the reading order of Jessica’s books as this is sure to not be my last.
Sometimes the past does come back to haunt you. And sometimes you can deal with that past by yourself. Lo had Cash and didn’t realize it till the end. Can’t wait to see what is next up for The Henchmen.
5 Super Hot Cash Stars
“Tuck your tongue back in your mouth, Cash.”
“Oh, sweetheart. If you had any idea what I could do with my tongue,
there’s no way you’d br telling me to tuck it back into my mouth.”
Completely loved Cash and I expected no less. From the first time that we heard about Cash in Reign’s book I was a goner haha And yes, Cash is definitely the right man for Lo.
Low is a total bad ass and she is head of Hailstorm. She is that kind of woman who hate relying on a man for anything. Until she has no choice and in comes Cash to save the day…. Well with the help of some other fine things from Hailstorm!
Yeah I loved this book and I’m loving making my way through the Henchmen mc and Savage Series!
I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this book. I fell in Love with Cash & his personality in Reign book,,, I took my sweet time reading this book , so I could fully enjoy it… Cash is the brother of Reign and second in command of the MC The Henchmen. He always full of sarcastic humor and a manwhore. when it comes to the ladies he loves them all …… Cash has never liked Lo very much & has never understood his body’s physical reaction to her when she is near.
Lo’ is a total bad ass and she is head of Hailstorm. She is that kind of woman who’s calling the shots and never rely on others. Until one day her past caught up with her & leaves her bloodied and bruised she calls in a marker from The Henchmen for protection – as Cash was the one at the MC club house when she showed up he decided he was the one that would provide that.
just reread this book for the 3rd time
Lots of twist and turns, secrets and suspense with Cash and Lo (Willow), loved their story and the cliffhanger with Wolf and Janie!!
I really love the way Jessica writes. This was a very good book, Cash is so hot and funny. And Lo is so strong and I loved that she was not so young. Actually I loved that the book had Lo at over 30, I felt it more realistic this way. I am so sick of virgin h stories and I feel Jessica’s book was more realistic because of that.
I loved it was packed with action and steam and I hope she continues to write with more steam in her books.
While this was a well written book, it did nothing for me. My enjoyment was ourly personal. I liked the first few chapters a coulpe new the end and that was about it. Tgere was VERY little MC in this book, the character of Lo/Willow did nothing for me as I felt she was completely different in book one. There was a lot of stale scenes and waiting (at least the first 50%) and a lot of repetativeness. I just didn’t care for the choices that author made for both structure if the book and the character’s themselves. As I said, nothing wrong with the book, just didn’t work for me personally. 2.5 stars. Can’t wait to read Wolf now though…
I don’t like reviews with spoilers, so I’m not giving very much out on this book because so much of what I could say could ruin your experience with Cash and Lo.
Lo is probably still my favourite bada$$ heroine of all of Navesink Bank, and man Cash is sexy AF!
If this is your 1st time reading Cash don’t get sucked into spoilers, it’s best to go into this book blind. It’s absolutely phenomenal, Jessica Gadziala writes about warriors better than most others I know.
Lo is the best! Badass leader, romance novel lover, she is my hero!
I’ve said it in previous reviews of this author but I love her writing style. How she crosses characters over from other series. If you’ve read Reign and Monster you know what happens at the beginning of this book. What I didnt connect from the blurb from this book is Willow is actually Lo the leader of the survivalist group Hailstorm.
Having met her in the previous two books we knew she was one tough cookie and took no crap from any man.. Well we find out what made her that way in this book when her past comes back with a vengeance.
Cash is the brother of Reign and second in command of the MC The Henchmen. He always full of sarcastic humor and a man ho when it comes to the ladies. He’s never liked Lo very much and has never understood his body’s physical reaction to her when she is near.
When Lo’s past comes back and leaves her bloodied and bruised she calls in a marker from The Henchmen for protection – as Cash was the one at the MC when she showed up he decided he was the one that would provide that.
I believe there is a trigger warning post with this book and that is warranted. Any women who have issues with graphic descriptions of spousal abuse be warned.
For me every couples story I’ve read from this author I’ve fallen in love with. Cash and Lo may have on the surface had nothing in common but you can see (and believe) that they are perfect for each other.
We also get a bigger glimpse into Janie in this one and I so cannot wait for her and Wolf’s story.
Cudios Ms Gadziala for another great book!
