First let me say that I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book, but it in no way influenced my feedback. I always leave an honest review. Also This author is new to me, but won’t me for long.
Wow!!! When I first started reading this story, I cried my eyes out. It actually hurt. We meet Kendra, a tough as nails woman, dealing with death of a loved one. It felt like I was there with her. This story was so phenomenal that I had a hard time putting it down. There is so much detail about the Cerofan, gargoyles, but it’s not boring or redundant. We learn about family and their strengths. So much is going on with cartels, war with an evil mage, traitors, gargoyles & dragons, and love. Because Kendra does find love in many different ways. Oh I can’t wait to read the next story in this series. I recommend this read 5 Thumbs up
No spoilers of any kind because I’m not the kind of person that does that. So all I’ll say is this is a really awesome book, I was hooked before I even finished the first chapter and I stayed hooked until the very end of the book.
Miki and Garrett V Ward most definitely know how to weave a amazing story together. I look forward to reading more of their work in the future.
So yes I most definitely recommend this book because I think it’s an absolutely fantastic! And I really enjoyed crawling into it and getting totally lost within its pages.
Carved by Miki Ward is an awesome book, it is book one in a new series I just started reading. I never read anything from this author before this story and and I am glad I read this story. It is action packed and very full of magic. Miki Ward is slowly becoming one of my favorite authors now.

The story begins with a funeral of a highly skilled forest ranger. We meet his unconsolable wife and her family. But the story soon drifts into fantasy, as unbenknown to the present generation, the wife’s family is protected by the Ceorfan, a group of supernatural beings of all kinds – and they resurrect David, her dead husband, as one of their own.
About the same time an old enemy who wants to enslave all and rule the world returns and Kendra and her brothers, like their ancestors, are asked to fight against evil.
A great start of an epic story, weaving modern times together with fantasy, which makes you more involved in the story as you are familiar with some of the settings and all of the moral values Ceorfan and humans share.

Book one of The Ceorfan Gargoyles series leaves you with questions to be answered in the next book, which I want to read. A well-written book that kept my interest until the end. Who is the surgeon? I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
What a beautifully written book. Kendra is a strong characterwith a strong sense of family, and right and wrong. The men in her life strong protective, sexy, and of course gargoyles. It is a very sexy book. If you enjoy a slow burn reverse harem, then this book is for you. I highly recommend it.
