Good book! Enjoyed reading this boy! Good author.
I have thoroughly enjoyed every book in this series and this one was no exception. I love how every story is unique enough to stand alone but has enough continuity to make it feel like home.
Carter hires Avery to help him to expand his farm. They are attracted to each other but decided to keep it professional. When admiring grows to more Avery is scared. She is pushed down by everyone the loved or worked for. Will Carter be different?
This is such a fun story, with not only lovable main characters but all the crazy family members that will do everything to help each other. If this is your first book in this series you just want to start with the first book.
A sweet romance about taking a risk on love. Will Avery and Carter succeed?
Carter Quinn is an organic farm. He has inherited
the Quinn Organic Farm from the man who was like
a second father to him. Carter is ready to make
improvements to the farm.
Avery Scott is an organic farm consultant. She owns
her own business. She has been hired by Carter to
evaluate his farm and discuss what he may be able
to improve. She is very beautiful and does not like
people judging her by her looks. She does not date.
Immediately upon meeting, there is undeniable
chemistry zinging between them.
Avery has a rule ……she doesn’t get involved with
the person she is doing consulting with wherever
she goes. Now she facing a problem….she is
developing feeling for Carter plus she like to town
and the people.
The characters are three dimensional and
multifaceted in a complex family, fast paced plot.
The scenery is described so that you can feel as
if there.
A sweet country heartwarming romance you will
want to read.
I volunteered to read Carter’s Cowgirl. Thanks to
the author for the opportunity. My opinion is my own.
Loved this sweet romance!! Carter has one thing on his mind, to make his organic farm a success. He has hired a consultant, Avery to help him. Avery has trust issues but Carter soon finds himself attracted to her, now only to get through those barriers. Carter’s grandmother also thinks it high time for Carter to have a relationship.
A fun sweet romance that I could not put down. Wonderful heart warming characters that I fell in love with. I have not read the other books in the series, and had no trouble jumping right in. I read through my kindle unlimited.
Only in life’s losses, do we ever score a win. Ironic but true. Why? I guess because the best advice comes from the heartache of the experience. Carter’s Cowgirl is a reminder that every disappointment is putting us one step closer to our happy ending. McClone takes the adage less is more to heart and that’s why she has so many unforgettable reads.
Melissa’s book is my second visit to Quinn Valley Ranch. I loved the warm closeness of all the Quinn relatives, you know if you have a problem some or all of them have your back. Such a sweet and clean romance. Carter is too busy for romance no matter what his matchmaker grandmother says about that. That is before he meets Avery Scott, his new consultant hired to help his farm run better. The chemistry between the two is sweet and tender, not rushed. I loved seeing the interaction between the two and the love she has for her horse is wonderful. I look forward to reading more books by this author. Highly recommended!

I received a complimentary copy of this book. Thank you All opinions expressed are my own.
Carter Quinn’s grandmother has been after him to find a nice girl and settle down, but he’s too busy running the organic farm the Martins left him. Farming consultant Avery Scott has been burned in the past by women getting jealous of her attractive features, thinking she’s seducing their men starting with her own mother. She’s afraid to trust another man and she puts up walls to protect herself. She feels a kinship with Carter over his love of farming and their horses and his willingness to accept the ideas of a woman, but when he shows signs of jealously, she runs wanting to leave before he makes her go. This was a clean romance with plenty of sweet and funny moments. I loved the Quinn family especially Grams and I can’t wait to read the next romance in this series.
Not having read the previous multi-author Quinn Valley Ranch series books, I wondered if I was going to feel lost coming in on book 8. Nope, not an issue, as Avery and Carter’s story is definitely a stand-alone…but also a great reason to go back and read the earlier titles.
Carter isn’t looking for romance, since the farm takes up all his time and energy. His grandmother would like to see him married, and makes no secret of this wish, to Carter or his siblings and cousins! Avery also isn’t looking for romance, but for different reasons. Her looks have held her back, or in some cases, interfered with both jobs and her personal/family life. So even though she connects with Carter right away, there’s no way this can go anywhere.
Naturally, they are no match for the wonderfully sweet, funny and heartfelt storytelling of Melissa McClone! She invites the reader into the hero and heroine’s minds and hearts from page one, and paves the journey with humor, realism and love. Always a must-read author for me, each book holds a special place in my heart while they try to jockey for top place.
Carter’s Cowgirl is another winner.
I totally enjoyed reading Carter and Avery’s sweet story in Carter’s Cowgirl, a heartwarming, sweet Christmas romance by Melissa McClone, book eight in the Quinn Valley series. Carter Quinn works hard to make the organic farm he inherited a success and is ready to take it to the next level; thereby hiring a consultant. Avery Scott loves helping her consulting clients become more successful while proving that she’s more than just a pretty face. With the demands of their jobs, neither one has time for romance.
While working together Carter and Avery recognize a kindred spirit with a similar work ethic. Avery fits perfectly working on Carter’s farm. She is the yin to his yang. Now all Carter has to do is convince Avery to trust that he sees her as more than just a beautiful face and that they could have a wonderful and loving life together. Avery just needs to be willing to take a chance on him and love.
Ms. McClone wrote a wonderfully sweet and moving story that is not to be missed. This story contains fun dialogue, endearing and likeable characters and the magic of love. I highly recommend Carter’s Cowgirl to other readers.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
A Sweet Read! This story is about love, family and new beginnings. I loved Carter and Avery’s story! It was sweet, fun and touchingly realistic. I also got a kick out of Carter’s family. They are a unique bunch and I can’t wait to read more about them!
A charming and touching romance with characters so real you feel like you’re right in the middle of all that’s happening and a beautifully written story that kept me entertained and engaged from the first word to the last. Even though this is the eighth book in the Quinn Valley Ranch books, it is the first one I have read but I am so intrigued I plan to read all the books in this multi-author series. Carter’s Cowgirl is a must-read for fans of clean and wholesome romance. I received an advance reader copy of this book and this is my voluntary and unbiased review.
Great story about all the important things in life. Family, love and new beginnings. Carter is determined to make a success of his inherited farm. Avery is hired to help make his success a reality. The attraction is there between these two from the beginning, but will they both give into it?
As usual Ms. McClone has done a fabulous job with this heartwarming story that is not to be missed!
I was provided a free copy in exchange for an honest review.
Wonderful read! Carter loves his farm, and is determined to make it a success in honor of the precious couple that was like a second set of parents to him. He does not have time to invest in a girlfriend, even though Grandma Gertie thinks it is a priority. Along comes Avery, the consultant hired to analyze the farm and make recommendations for improvements. Avery has struggled with her past and has been deeply hurt, finding it hard to trust anyone. Carter and Avery stir each other’s hearts and find they work together well. Add the quirkiness of the Quinn family and the love story of Carter and Avery is very heartwarming. Who doesn’t love a proposal at the gas station surrounded by cousins?
A sweet country romance.
Carter Quinn inherited Quinn Organics from Ben Martin, who was like a second father to him. Carter wanted the farm to be a success to keep Ben’s legacy alive. When he was ready to take it to the next level, he hired Avery Scott, an organic farming consultant, to help him come up with a plan. Avery was nothing like Carter expected her to be. She was pretty and smart and Ben couldn’t keep his eyes off her.
Avery was used to men looking at her, but she didn’t like it. It had been a source of problems for her all of her life. She tried to play down her looks, but men still looked. She found it hard to keep jobs, so she started her own business as a consultant to farmers who were looking for ways to turn a bigger profit. Avery didn’t date or indulge in affairs, but when she met Carter, her mind worked overtime. She wanted him and she fought her emotions whenever they were together. Little did Carter or Avery know, working together was about to change both of their lives.
This was a really sweet book. I loved the dynamics between Avery and Carter. And Carter’s grandmother was a hoot. I loved how close the Quinn family was and how they stepped up to help each other when needed. The story was very realistic and easy to follow. I wasn’t ready for it to end when it did. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves a good clean small town romance.
A sweet and clean romantic story of sexy Carter Quinn and Avery Scott, the consultant he hires for his farm. I enjoyed the two characters trying to be professional and ignoring the chemistry between them. When the job is over who knows what will happen. Great characters and a great story. You have to love the Quinns. I cannot wait to read Ivy’s story. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.
I loved reading this book.
It’s a delightful & touching story.
Carter, is an organic farmer. He loves
everything about his farm & life.
He wants to take it to the next level. Carter has hired an organic farming consultant.

When Avery meets Carter,
she’s tongue-tied. She never expected

When she meets part of the Quinn
family, they want to know all about Avery.
