After reading “Bronson”, book one of Shanna Handel’s “A Mafia Billionaire Romance” series, there was no way I could walk away from this series. Carter’s story fills in so many more details about The Village and how the families are ruled, both as a unit and as individuals. Carter has fallen in love with Sasha and if you’ve read the first book, then you know, there is nothing these men won’t do for their women as long as they can live by the rules and give their submission. Unfortunately, as headstrong as Sasha is, Carter has been putting off enforcing his discipline for fear he would lose Sash altogether. Everything comes to a head the night she decides she wants to go out and party against Carters wishes. When she decides to throw her tantrum in front of Bronson in the middle of the village Carter has mentally made the decision that enough was enough. But will Sasha accept the consequences for her actions or will Carter lose her? This was another great read. The story unfolds so smoothly I was captivated from the very beginning and couldn’t put it down until I hit “The End”. I’m excited to read “Rockland” next.
Carter has his hands full in so many ways. He must rein Sasha in but she is so unwilling. They break but neither can stand. Starting the discipline even though the protest. Sasha starts caving her submission is coming along. Carter will not let her get away with out being punished. What’s in store for the love birds.
A compelling fast pace read! It is well written, engaging, exciting, steamy, witty, and very interesting. It is action-packed with drama, ups and downs, spanking, brattiness, and steam. The characters are strong and intriguing; the chemistry between them is intense and potent. This book takes you on a wild ride that you will enjoy from beginning to end. Definitely recommended.

This is another wonderful story from this author. The characters are great and develop throughout the story. There are so many mysteries and secrets that are left untold that the reader is left wanting, no needing to read the next book in this amazing series.

Carter is the sequel to Shannon Handel’s book entitled Bronson and brings Sasha and Carter within the Bachman family and culture which follows a modern day Robin Hood philosophy. In this family, men are dominant and it becomes time for Carter to make the decision for Sasha to submit or forfeit all he has provided to her. What will this couple decide? I recommend this novel read which creates a unique and different world of romance.

This was such an intriguing story. Carter is a Bachman and Sasha has promised to marry him and live the life. Problem is she’s still holding onto her independence and doing whatever she wants to do. That’s not the Bachman way. The men are men and the women are submissive. The characters are interesting and Sasha has some major sass she needs to clear up. (Also some green eyed monster) No spoilers here. This book will keep you on your toes and turning pages till the end. I enjoyed this story so very much. Highly recommend. Book 2 in this series & I admit that it had a lot to live up to. Given that I loved Bronson so much, it would be difficult for any book to repeat that level of enjoyment. This book came close. I enjoyed Carter (the book) & found this a very easy read but I didn’t always connect with the characters. Carter (the man) changed from a total doormat at the beginning to all of sudden discovering his dominant side. While Sasha went from being a complete b** who used people for her own purposes to being accepting & embracing of her submissive side in her relationship with Carter. I’m just not sure that I totally bought the ease with which these changes happened. Overall though, it was an enjoyable read & I’m looking forward to more in this series.
I believe this is the 2nd Bachman book. I admit, I’m a little conflicted about this one.
I did like that more information about the Bachman’s and the Village was revealed. I also got my question answered about what happens when a Bachman has children.
I liked Carter. I thought it was interesting how he changed from letting Sasha get away with her behavior to becoming this dominant disciplinarian. I think he should have let Sasha go and find someone else.
I didn’t particularly like Sasha. She was spoiled, selfish, manipulative, and kind of mean. I guess that was the point. you can’t discipline someone who never breaks the rules. Sasha threw out way too many mixed signals. Did she want to live like a Bachman because she wanted to embrace the lifestyle, the submission, or did she say she would accept it because she wanted the power and prestige that came with being a Bachman? I was never really sure.
Some of the requirements Sasha went along with were a bit much for me. The punishment panties and window deal pushed me over the edge. In spite of some of those aspects, I thought it was an interesting story.
If domestic discipline, spanking, etc. offend you, I would suggest you take a pass on this book.
Carter is a stand alone romance set within the Bachman Mafia world. Carter and Sasha have been together for two years, but Sasha has finally pushed Carter too far. Now she’s facing the harsh reality where she must submit to Carter and his family’s lifestyles, or she must walk away from all that she loves. Will she be able to submit with love in her heart, or will her independence drive her away forever?
Oh my goodness, there were so many emotions within the pages of this book! I started this book, expecting to only read a chapter or two before bed, but next thing I knew, I was about 40% of the way through the book! I could barely put it down! I can honestly say that I did not like Sasha in the beginning of this book. She was rude and selfish, bratty and quite witchy. But, one thing I loved about her character was watching her shift her thinking, watching her character grow, and then adoring the way she flourished under Carter’s firm guidance. Carter ended up proving that he was more than man enough for Sasha, even if it came a tiny bit late in the beginning, but loved the second chance he gave his love, enjoyed how dominant he was, and I loved getting more insight into their mafia lifestyle. The relationship between them is both filled with fire and sweetness, sass with softness, and hard work with sacrifice and joy. By the end of the book, my heart was cheering for both of them! I loved seeing more of the Bachman’s, I loved that their romance wasn’t easy, and loved reading this book! I can’t wait for more!
