There was a fine line between love and hate, we walked it together.
Unforgiving.
Relentless.
I’m to be feared.
When your family is as much a friend as an enemy, there is no one to trust.
I am Javier Almanza. Cartel kingpin.
No one can touch me.
No one can hurt me …
Except her.
Mari Belle Dominguez. He was raised as family. My brother’s best friend, my first kiss, and my first betrayal. He … best friend, my first kiss, and my first betrayal.
He planned to make me his Cartel Bitch.
The joke was on him; I’d never break nor would I bend.
I would fight until the end for myself.
My will was stronger than his want.
He would soon see.
This is book one in the Almanza Crime Family Duet and a full-length romance. This is a dark, edge of your seat romantic suspense novel featuring an antihero, so there is a level of violence inside that may not be suitable for some readers. This is not meant to be an actual depiction of life inside a Cartel but rather a work of fiction meant to entertain.

This is such a good book. Cartel with all the lies, secrets, love, heartache, and learning to survive in a world you didn’t want to be a part of.
Ready to dive into Cartel Queen
Read: 10/24/19
Cartel Bitch was the first book in the Almanza Crime Family duet by Chelsea Camaron. We met Javi Almanza previously in the Devil’s Due MC series, book four, Day of Reckoning.
Camaron told the story in parts. Part one started with a quick chapter on the present then it quickly switched to the past. Camaron then started from the beginning when Javi Almanza and Mari Belle Dominguez were children and they were practically raised to together along with Mari Belle’s brother. As I read the story, my heart broke. It was an interesting twist as the story progressed. To conclude the book, Camaron then brought us back to the present and ended with a cliff hanger.
I thoroughly enjoyed the book. I was captivated from beginning to end. It was well written and well developed with lovable characters. Additionally, I had already read the Devil’s Due so I enjoyed Javi’s version of the quick recap. It wasn’t necessary to have read that series first, but I enjoyed it more having the deeper perspective.
I’m never a fan of duets and trilogies, preferring to read a book all at once but thankfully, Cartel Queen is currently available and I can’t wait to dive in.
This book is an all nighter couldn’t put it down.
I love my hero’s to be badass. My favorite’s are also assholes. Chelsea Camaron has now managed to create my top 3 hero book characters. I love this woman’s wicked mind. She is always a one-click author for me. I love my heroines to be strong, wicked smart females who don’t take crap from anybody. Javi and Mari Belle have lived up to my every expectation.
Cliffhanger… so be warned.
Chelsea don’t ever apologize for a great book. There will always be haters but great job on this duet. I really felt the pain for these characters. Throughly enjoyed these books. Thank you!!
This is fiction, but sounds so real. Great story!
Absolutely fantastic!
Chelsea Camaron is one heck of a writer, she managed to bring me right round from hatred to understanding and turning bad to good
This book was an unbelievably passion driven, revenge filled crime of the heart.
Javier aka Javi has stolen my heart and it now sits on a shelf waiting for the continuation of he and Mari’s story.
I’m wrecked and devastated beyond belief!
Mari’s strength comes from her familia throughout this entire book. She does what she does for the love of her family. Her sacrifices are great, but her love is strong, deep and never ending although at times misguided.
Behind every broken person, there lies a reason, a purpose, an explanation to whom they are and what has brought them to this place and time in their lives. The only question is, will you allow yourself to see them, to truly understand their life, their back story, their path that has lead them to the here and now? Or will you judge, make assumptions, or even condemn them?
I have to be honest and say I forgot about this book so SHAME ON ME, what a travesty that would have been, I need to take more care with my one click finger. Absolutely brilliant read, I am now waiting patiently for book 2 to come all ready ordered
This book was so frustrating. It started out so interesting and then was completely unbelievable and ridiculous.
It was ok, but you need to continue to read the next book in the series to tie everything up and I didn’t want to do that.
Unfortunately, this was not the story line for me. I could not relate to the characters. It is depressing to feel sorry for the character through the entire story.
Also, I get frustrated when the end of the book, is not the end of the story. Sorry!
not a good read
It was an alright read. I think that the author did get some authentic background info on the characters. It is kind of sad and tragic. It could have had more dynamic. It was a short read and could have had more details. I definitely have read worst. I think it was a great attempt at making the women a strong role. Maybe it gets better in the second book but the first wasn’t enough to get me to want to read the second.
too much gratuitous violence without adding to the plot.
While plot may have been intriguing, writing was choppy and characters not developed enough to garner any real reaction to them.
Liked the story line, wish it was better written.
I could not get past the first chapter
To short a story just getting into character sad it was de.
Wow! This book drew me in from the very beginning and OMG has left me wanting more. This crime family is a very brutal and cut throat kind of family. The lies and deception with this family have no boundaries. They will kill anyone that gets in their way.
Javi and Mari’s story has so many layers that are peeled away to allow you to see where they come from and how they get to where they are now. Their story is nothing like I expected and I’m left hanging in the balance to see what will happen with these two next. Where is this journey going to take me? Mari has made it very clear that she is nobody’s Cartel Bitch!
I can’t wait to get my hands on Cartel Queen.
Happy Reading Everyone!!
