#1 New York Times bestselling author!Booklist Editors’ Choice 2015 – Youth! Named a “Best Book of 2015” by Time Magazine, School Library Journal, Barnes & Noble, NPR, PopSugar, The Millions, and The News & Observer!Simon Snow is the worst Chosen One who’s ever been chosen. That’s what his roommate, Baz, says. And Baz might be evil and a vampire and a complete git, but he’s probably … and a vampire and a complete git, but he’s probably right.
Half the time, Simon can’t even make his wand work, and the other half, he starts something on fire. His mentor’s avoiding him, his girlfriend broke up with him, and there’s a magic-eating monster running around, wearing Simon’s face. Baz would be having a field day with all this, if he were here — it’s their last year at the Watford School of Magicks, and Simon’s infuriating nemesis didn’t even bother to show up.
Carry On is a ghost story, a love story and a mystery. It has just as much kissing and talking as you’d expect from a Rainbow Rowell story – but far, far more monsters.

Carry On is a diverse twist to our favorite Harry Potter stories. Rainbow Rowell brings all her imagination and humor and just enough romance to flavor this well crafted story. Fun read!
This book was so wonderful. If you like the trope of the destined one, this is a great take on that.
Okay, here is where you see my own subjective reviewing process in action. Five stars? Means I enjoyed the heck out of this book. It doesn’t mean I think it’s better than every four star book I’ve ever read. It means I closed this book and knew I was going to read it again, and maybe again and again.
It’s a twisted, way different and yet oh-so-familiar homage to the Harry Potter books. Anything that takes me back to Harry and yet constantly surprises me with its fabulous differences. Oh, it’s m/m inspired by the moment Rainbow Rowell exited the last movie realizing her journey with Harry had truly ended.
And she turned to her husband and said, “You know, it’s so obvious. I think Harry REALLY loved Draco!”
And her husband replied, “Yeah, you and the rest of the internet.”
Don’t expect Baz to be Draco. He is his own character and far more fun and fascinating than Draco ever dreamed of being. [Sorry, Draco! Not a fan.]
Anyway, if I haven’t scared you off? It’s because you stopped reading and ran to by Carry On already.
Smooch!
AAAAA I LOVE IT THIS BOOK IS AWESOME AND I LIVE FOR CHAPTER 61 IF I’M JUST GONNA BE HONEST
I really enjoyed Carry On because somehow you were dragged into a world that was already built. The world and story were already there, it was merely a continuation of a story already started; which is exactly what it is. Simon and Baz have a very interesting dynamic, and sort of fill in where the other is lacking. The pacing of Rainbow Rowell’s novels often make it difficult to get through, but this one was easier to get through compared to some of her other work. The pacing and transitions of the book are a bit odd, and can leave you to wonder why a character would do what they did, and can seem out of character, but otherwise I really enjoyed this novel.
MANY FEELS. Magical in love boys I LIVE
