Don’t miss any of Kory M. Shrum’s gripping Louie Thorne thrillers:
SHADOWS IN THE WATER * UNDER THE BONES * DANSE MACABRE * CARNIVAL

I stayed up all night to finish this book. So good. I can’t get enough of Lou and the gang, and I really enjoyed seeing more of Piper and Mel in this one. Such a strong cast! And so much action. I loved every second of it.
Another great Lou Thorne book, I was lucky enough to be given an advanced reader copy of this book to read and review, I was not disappointed.
Well written as always.
There are some shocking and unexpected twists in this story, if you’ve read the other books in this series then you may know the characters well, or do you?
I think that Kory is an excellent writer and I look forward to many more stories in this series.
If you like these books then you will also love her other books.
The Lou Thorne thriller series is fantastic. Book after book keeps you riveted and the only disappointing thing is when you get to the end. No spoilers, but read on! The characters and stories, (this one is no exception) are well developed and have depth and charisma…everything you would expect in a paranormal thriller! The mystery and twists and turns take this book in directions you won’t be able to predict. A real page-turner that is certain to keep you up way past your bedtime just to get through that ‘just one more chapter.’ Although you don’t have to have read the previous 3 books in this series to enjoy this one, I suggest that you do, so you can keep up with the progression and growth of the characters that carry over. Lou Thorne lives up to her well-earned reputation in taking care of business. I received an ARC of this book and am providing an unsolicited review and hope you’ll read it and enjoy it as much as I did.
Note this is Book 4. All the characters are back (except the ones who didn’t survive!), so if you haven’t read the previous books, you’ve missed out not only on a lot of action, but also important character development. My advice: start with Shadows in the Water, Under the Bones (A Lou Thorne Thriller, #2) and Danse Macabre (A Lou Thorne Thriller, #3) for maximum enjoyment.
This may be the best Lou Thorne thriller yet! Like Jeff Lindsey’sDarkly Dreaming Dexter, Lou’s idea is to hunt serial killers who’ve escaped the system, and bring retribution to the men who thought themselves apex predators and above the law. La Loon is their last stop before Jabbers gets them. Lou and King are working on a serial killer case, Lou wanting instant retribution, King wanting a lawful arrest and trial. Melandra has a problem with her husband. Piper and Dani seem to be getting back together. Lou and Konstantine are on-again-off-again in their relationship, Lou still unwilling to fully commit, but feeling a strong attraction, and Konstantine patiently waiting for her to commit. I don’t think it’s a spoiler to mention that several very bad men get the consequences of their wickedness.
Dark and disturbing are the adventures of Lou Thorne. Vigilante extraordinaire, she travels the globe using her unique power over shadow and water. No on escapes. No one is ever found. I love reading her stories!
