“The days that break you are the days that make you.” Life hasn’t been easy on me lately—I’m recovering from a car accident and a s#*tty relationship. My trust in men has been damaged, maybe beyond repair. My doctor suggests dance as therapy, and I decide on salsa lessons. Little did I know I’d have a sexy-as-hell instructor like Carlos. Just when I thought I’d never want anyone again, his dark … I’d never want anyone again, his dark eyes flash and I melt.
I can’t take my eyes off that gorgeous salsa dancer.
When he looks at me, my heart pounds. When he touches me, I burn with desire.
Now my ex is harassing me just as things are getting better.
Can I break through all these obstacles in my road?
Can I give Carlos a chance?
Carlos is a 30K word stand-alone novella with lots of heat, no cheating and an HFN.

Lindsey has just recovered from a terrible accident and also a bad breakup. She decides to try dancing as a way to get back into physical activity. She walks in to the studio of Carlos’, she sees two people dancing the salsa and only wished to have such a connection with soomeone. She Dr idea this would be good for her. She instantly feels a connection, but could this really be true? Is she just jumping from Glenn, her ex, to having feelings for someone she doesn’t know? Does Carlos feel the same or is it just her imagination?
This is a beautifully written love at first sight book, I started reading and couldn’t put it down. I enjoyed it very much h!

Lindsey was having a checkup on her hip injury. After 6 long months, Dr. Webber told her it had healed well and she could start some physical activity now, such as dance or yoga to help regain agility and muscle tone. She had always wanted to dance with a partner, like in the movie “Dirty Dancing”; but her boyfriend said it was stupid. He was controlling and was never there for her. After her accident and her hip surgery, it became obvious how unimportant she was to him, so they broke up, leaving her with trust issues and low self-esteem. As she walked down the street, she used her phone to find the nearest dance studio with beginner classes and headed there.
Friday arrived and Lindsey went to the dance studio for her first lesson. She was surprised to find that she was eager to see the instructor, Carlos, again. His eyes sought hers and held the contact. One of the other students commented on their connection. But she wasn’t convinced. During one class where she was his partner, she lost focus, tripped, and fell. She expected pain but there was none. However, Carlos dismissed the class and insisted on a closer look to be sure she was really okay. How different he was from Glen who never cared about her injuries and always walked away. He pressed gently on each area of her leg and there was no pain, but he recommended she have her doctor also check. Then he asked her to come back the following day for a private lesson as his way of apologizing for allowing her to fall.
Getting dressed for her private lesson, Lindsey’s phone rang. But her smile vanished when a drunk Glen told her he wanted her back! She told him never to call, and she hung up on him. She joined Carlos for their lesson. The music was slower now, the lights dimmed, and she felt their mutual attraction. When the music ended, he kissed her and she knew they both felt the strong pull of attraction. Until he told her she was as beautiful as a rose – the exact words that Glen had told her before he cruelly broke her heart. Glen taught her words could not be trusted. And without a word, she pushed Carlos away and walked out.
Realizing that Carlos was nothing like Glen, she went to the studio early to apologize. He drove her home and invited her to dinner the next night. When the doorbell rang, she flung it open, and Glen shoved his way in. Still drunk and angry at seeing the man who dropped her off, he told her that she was his. She was afraid he intended to rape her, so she kneed his groin and dialed 9-1-1 on her phone as she ran out. When the cops got there, Glen was gone. How would she keep Glen away from her? Carlos was starting to be very important to her, but Glen could cause major trouble. And Carlos wasn’t even aware that Glen was a threat to Lindsey and him!
I loved this story, seeing the caring way that Carlos acted with Lindsey as compared to Glen’s selfish cruelty. Carlos was building back Lindsey’s confidence and treating her as a worthwhile part of his life. But her silence puts them both in danger. Grab your copy and let the suspenseful story line carry you along to see if these two characters will find the happiness and love they deserve!

I received an ARC of this book and offered my thoughts and opinions for it. I enjoyed it. It was an easy read, the characters were entertaining, the plot was good. I read through it without getting bored or wanting to put it down, so it was good. Not one of those books that I will think about months later probably, but I would read it again.

Yes, it had a bit of a plot, but not much of a story…unless you are really into sex…a lot. And why didn’t she call the cops after the 2nd incident and why did she do what she did right afterward. I just don’t get that part at all.

What’s a girl to do when during recovery from an accident you break up with your abusive boyfriend who can’t be bothered to help. At the suggestion of Lindsey’s doctor she takes up dance as therapy with the sexy instructor Carlos. Talk about chemistry right from the beginning and protector. This is a good read, be prepared for some twist.
