Wow! An amazing addition to her dragon series. Very well written. Devan her brother is in series trouble with a crime lord over money. She decides to save his life by making a contract with a Draeckon Lord. But the problem is he is murdered and it looks like she did it. Along comes his estranged son and takes his fathers place. He wants her and takes on everything. It is exciting, suspenseful, surprising, fun and so much more. I received a review copy from booksprout and voluntarily review it.
I was eager to read another book in this series! I read the first one last year and fell in love with this author’s writing. She has an original outtake of the relationship between dragons and their counterparts. There are evil purista who want to wipe out anyone who is not of pure blood or even thinks about breeding with humans.
Marielle is a human who has taken care of her brother alone since he was ten and she was fifteen. He borrowed money from what is basically their version of a monster. When they can’t pay, she has a DNA certificate that she redeems to be a breeder to a Dragon Lord in exchange for money. The mobster is keeping her brother as collateral and abusing him.
Fedryc is on his way to meet his astranged father. He arrives only to find out his father is murdered. Marielle is blamed but they both soon discover that there is a traitor somewhere in the castle.
There is so much excitement and so many different things happening throughout this book that I never wanted to put it down. I hope that the next installment comes out soon!

Great Dragon Fantasy!
Aliens, Dragons, romance, murder, mayhem, suspense, deception, betrayal with a HEA make for a very enjoyable reading experience. I loved the unique storyline and strong, well written characters. I look forward to reading the next book in this series. Enjoy!
I received an arc copy and am happy to leave my honest review.
OOO!! This story started out really, really good. I love Nyra she is something else. The youngest dragon with her Lord. She will protect and defend her charges. Awesome and she makes me so proud of her. The hunt for a traitor in the mist of all else going on. Trying to find Devan, Nyra finding her mate, so much happening. The tension is high and it is more exciting and dangerous. An excellent story and I want the next book so I can jump in to find out what happens next. I received a complimentary review copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving a honest review.
Emotional, thrilling, sexy, witty and engaging romantic adventure filled with danger, secrets, magic, mystery and passion….. it is a real page tuner that is hard to put down and return to the everyday. This magical and dangerous world is both exciting and tricky to survive, highly entertaining.
Easy five stars. Mary Auclair does great dragons and I was happy to see this book. This is book 2 in the series but it does stand alone. With strong dragon riders and fragile but strong women in an unequal society it could be a doormat type of relationship but Marielle is strong enough to stand up for herself and I loved the relationship Fedryc and Marielle developed as they became a couple and fought against a traitor close to home. (I voluntarily reviewed an ARC).
This is a very good read. There is lots of drama, steam, emotional turmoil, intensity, twists and also very suspenseful. Marielle and Fedryc share a powerful attraction and their chemistry simply sizzles. The storyline easily kept me entertained and engaged. I’m looking forward to book three.
Poor Mirelle finds herself taking the brunt of the mistakes and misdeed of others repeatedly until she finds herself as mate to one of the dragon lords that now are the dominant party on earth.
The really neat thing about this series is that they aren’t shifters, and I love that. There is still a presence of dragons that is intimately tied with individual humans, without them having to be one in the same. The bonding between the dragons, Draekon and their mates gives them all a sort of walk in another’s shoes. Together they combine to merge their wild and tamer sides along with their love for another.
Henron’s past (and future!) make for a particularly compelling and heart-bursting story. I did find it frustrating how they overlooked the person(s) who to me was/were the obvious power behind the purists. Never underestimate the underestimated demographics!
Multiple plot lines pull the characters this way and that as they try to balance everything that comes their way while still staying alive and sane. The plot thickens as they face unprecedented situations. Fedryc and Mirelle are equally sympathizing while they balance the need to take action with patience, and taking swift but risky action with thought out plans that might come too late.
The second book in the Dawn of Dragons series a well-written book that I enjoyed reading. Marielle Jansen and High Lord Fedryc’s story has suspense, drama, danger, a villain, murder, and romance. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Shades of red
I can think of no better compliment for this author other than that her dragons remind me so much of the dragons of Pern. The way she has these dragons connect with their rider is so intense, but then when you add in a true mate the emotions jack up to an entirely new level. I love that once again she has immersed us in this world of danger and misery, but with so much love that we know joy has to be right around the corner. The author has filled this book with so many twists and turns and the enemy is the one no one suspected. I enjoyed this book from the beginning until the shiver inducing ending and I can only imagine what the author is going to come up with next. It’s sure to be epic.
