Loved this book and the other two in this series that I have read! I can’t wait to start reading number 4, and the publication of #5.
The narrator for this series is amazing! He has an impeccable ability to bring the story to life with different voices and impeccable timing. I found myself driving longer and sitting in the car just to listen to the story. Highly recommend for your next long-distance drive!
Another page turning, can’t put it down, book about detective Cormoran Strike and his assistant Robin Ellacott. The business is out of the red, until a package is delivered to Robin, containing a severed woman’s leg, cut off exactly the same as Cormoran’s. There are 4 people from his past, who Cormoran thinks might have sent the package, but after his interview with the police, they only concentrate on the one that he thinks is the least likely to have done it. As they start losing clients, Cormoran and Robin, must investigate themselves, at the same time that Robin’s wedding approaches. When more mutilations are discovered, Cormoran must not only keep digging, but also keep his assistant safe. As with the earlier books in the series, skillfully developed characters and gripping plot, masterfully written.
At the risk of repeating myself-I LOVE THIS SERIES!!! In humble opinion, this is crime fiction at its VERY BEST! Multi-faceted characters, crisp dialogue, a storyline that keeps you guessing, suspense, and enjoyable frustration when the characters you love don’t behave the way they should. Career of Evil was everything I wanted in a story and more. Read It! That is all.
This was just a good book and I liked the way it was written.
I found the book a good easy read. I came to care for the characters and what happened in their lives. I enjoyed figuring out who the murderer was, prior to the reveal.
Best yet of JKR’s C.B. Strike series. Unsettling with a good resolution.
This is a great series. I hope she continues it.
