She’s angry that I left. I’m angry that I died. It’s the trouble with our two lives: we don’t only have one past to work through, but two. Double the pain, twice the betrayal. A million times the tragedy. The Moon is the story of Merlin and Nimue from the New Camelot trilogy. It’s recommended that you read the trilogy first, as there are American King spoilers in The Moon.
Oh. My. God. This novella is EPIC!!! This is the story of Merlin and Nimue epic and fated love story spanning centuries. Oftentimes, with a novella you can feel that the story is rushed or not complete. That is not the case with Cards of Love: The Moon. Sierra Simone has given us a complete and emotional story that was at times heartbreaking, bittersweet and hot AF. Well done Sierra, well done!!!
This book is part of the cards with love series and is about characters from the new Camelot series which should be read before this book as it gives away spoilers
This book was so good, I’ve been so excited to read it since I hears it was coming out. I devoured this book I’m mere hours. Highly recommend this story
This was a fun little flashback to New Camelot, while giving us the real story of what happened between Merlin and Nimue!
And of course, since it was written by Sierra Simone, it’s full of hot, sexy, kinky fun! I loved getting to know Merlin, and feeling his tragic, sad past that he felt incapable of changing. This was a great story, and I loved visiting this world again!!
“You are so beautiful always. No matter what you’re doing. I’ve seen living magic and breathing legends, little moon, but you are the wonder of my eyes, you are the sight that steals my breath every single time.”
Cards of Love: The Moon is Merlin’s novella in Simone’s New Camelot Trilogy. This little kinky novella should be read after you finish the INCREDIBLE trilogy. Don’t you dare spoil it for yourself…I know you’re thinking of it because it’s Sierra FREAKING Simone, but make sure you get the full experience, because it’s one you will NEVER forget.
A sexy, provocative, alluring tale that spans lifetimes…Sierra Simone weaved her magic to give us a love story we never even knew we wanted. She gives us the timeless story of Merlin and Nimue. Of course there are so many versions of their story, but this author put her unique kinky stamp on it and made it her own…and I freaking LOVED IT!
This author is an unstoppable force of nature when it comes to this genre. She sucks you in like no other and leaves you wanting for more. Her poetic words of kink and romance is everything I could ever want as an avid reader. Merlin and Nimue are quite the pair. Their scorching hot dynamic is unique and you never know what’s going to happen. Sierra keeps us on our toes with this one and I had the most fun reading it. If you are looking for erotic romance at its finest…you could read practically ANYTHING by this woman and come out of it 150% satisfied. I can’t wait to see what she gives us next!
In “Cards of Love: The Moon,” past, present and future come together so that two people destined for one another can finally resolve all the sins of their pasts. Merlin and Nimue were star-crossed lovers whose lives had been intertwined over many years, past and present, and in many different ways. Merlin always had magical powers, but depending on who he was with and what he was doing, he sometimes kept them a secret. He wanted to marry Nimue, but she chose her family instead and left him. Merlin never stopped loving her, even though he blamed her for his death.
The book begins in the present where Nimue has kidnapped Merlin and brought him to an island off of Wales near where he grew up. They hadn’t seen each other in 23 years, since the night that he left in tears at her graduation party. They had a secret and torrid affair where Merlin fell hopelessly in love with her, all while Nimue was dating someone else. However, on the night of the party, Nimue chose to be with her boyfriend instead of Merlin, leaving him alone once again.
Why does Nimue bring Merlin to the island and what does she want from him now?
Magical, mystical, sensual and erotic. These were my first thoughts when I finished reading “Cards of Love: The Moon.” I felt as if I was living in a beautiful dream sequence that brought me into the past and back into the present with a glimpse at the future. The Moon card in the tarot represents illusion, dreams and the unconscious, which is the world that existed around Merlin and Nimue while they found their way back to each other.
An intoxicating and out of this world love story!
Cards of Love: The Moon is based in the world of Sierra Simone’s epic New Camelot series. It is recommended to read that series first, as there are spoilers, and I’d personally recommend that series to each and every person I come across! In The Moon, we finally get more of a story of the opinionated and mysterious Merlin, and his true love- Nimue. These two are passion personified, and what a back story! I’m usually not a huge fan of other-worldly type stories, but The Moon was amazing and sizzling hot. I now hope we will get to see other characters!
This is an epilogue to the New Camelot series. There are spoilers to that series. GO READ IT NOW! It is amazing!
This is Merlin and Nimue’s story. Merlin has the memories from his past lives. He has been reliving his life trying to right the wrongs from King Arthur’s time. In every life Nimue has been his downfall. He awakens chained and defenseless. He realizes Nimue has kidnapped him and is fearing the worst.
Hot and spicy with some elements of sadism. Intricate tale of a love separated by fate. Great use of the mythology of King Arthur with a filthy spin!
GAH! The second Sierra Simone announced she would revisit the New Camelot trilogy and give us more I was one-clicking that baby so fast. And she didn’t disappoint- this novella was everything we look for in the series- romantic, deep storylines steeped in fantasy and legend and provoking. It was, in short, amazing and the break I needed from life.
Cards of Love (The Moon) focuses on the story of Merlin. It is told from his POV and goes back and forth between the present and the past. It should be noted- if you have not read the New Camelot series you should absolutely not read this book- as there are some pretty major spoilers. Also, if it has been awhile since you’ve read, you don’t need to worry. This story reminds you of everything important you need to know (but seriously go reread- that series is amazing).
I was curious if I would like Merlin due to his actions in the series. While he isn’t a villain- he certainly played his hand in everyones lives. To say the least. And I didn’t trust him for most of the original series lol. But this book will endear him to you. He is selfless and flawed. He is tortured. And the strength of his love and loyalty to Ash, Embry and Greer is reflected in his personal life as well.
Merlin’s loved Nimue always. But she has always been his downfall- and there is the little problem of her not knowing how much of their pasts are intertwined. When they meet in the present they are explosive. And their relationship is HOT.
Give these two a chance- I’m positive they will change your mind on Merlin. And no matter what, it is nice to be back in the New Camelot world for a little while. LOVED.
This was a great sort of epilogue to Merlin’s story from The New Camelot trilogy. I loved reading his background, although I have to say, I was quite surprised by some of it. Always a good thing in a book IMHO. Sierra can write the hell out of hot!! I went back and forth about whether I liked Merlin or not in New Camelot. We see a much different side of him in this novella. I won’t spoil it for you, but if you’ve read the trilogy, you must read this.
