If one is very, extremely desperate, then one may call on the services of a clandestine group of men. The Kidnap Club—known to few—specialize in helping women out of difficult situations. Arranged marriages to awful men, for example.Miss Grace Beaumont is at the mercy of her uncle who is determined she marry the depraved Mr. Worthington. Desperate times call for…well, the Kidnap Club. It seems … Kidnap Club.
It seems insane. Perhaps it is. But anything is better than being married to that man.
Lord Nash Fitzroy has looked after many a kidnapee over the past few years, but none make him want to break the cardinal rules as much as Grace. Her determined spirit, quick wit, and, let’s be honest, her pretty looks have him struggling to remember his role in this.
Protector, defender, and occasional shoulder to cry on.
His way with women and the almost derelict offerings of his ancestral home as a hideaway make him a perfect pretend kidnapper. He doesn’t much mind the money involved either, seeing as his father cut him off.
Which means, he cannot afford to get this wrong. No matter how tempted he is to show Grace that Worthington is not a prime example of how a man should be and burn the damned rule book.

Grace’s uncle is set on her marrying Mr. Worthington but she doesn’t want to and her aunt decides to help her. This is one storyline that really intrigued me because I never knew there was such a thing as The Kidnap Club. The story is engaging, the characters are well developed and the banter is fun. I can’t wait to read the next book in The Kidnap Club series.
“The Kidnap Club”. Protector of women, you need us, we are there! Oh my gosh I absolutely loved this ingenious concept! They had a strict set of rules though “No ruining, not even kisses.” Yes, they were a trio that kept me laughing when we first meet them and our hero, Nash was the best!
Their next assignment was to kidnap a Miss Grace Beaumont who was being forced to marry before her 21st birthday to a vile man. Her uncle and the man were going to split her inheritance that she would get at that time.
Grace’s wonderful aunt found out about the Club from one of her friends and got it all set up. Now Grace was in a carriage being “kidnapped” while clutching her cat Claude and getting no conversation from the masked man who was her kidnapper. She had hoped for a few words of comfort from him.
Wow, just loved this fun story! Nash and Grace together were a delight and you could see the sparks begin to catch.
Would Grace be saved from her uncle and his schemes and maybe find love? This and many other questions will be answered in the reading of this wonderfully delightful tale. As usual Samantha Holt brings another story that will pull you in and not let go until the end! Scrumptious!
This is the first book in a wonderful new series, The Kidnap Club. This book gives you a bit of danger, excitement, and intrigue away from the typical ballroom scene. The story definitely keeps you turning the pages anxiously wanting to know what happens next. The characters were great – I loved the interactions between Grace and Nash. They were a perfect pair, keeping each other on their toes. They had wonderful chemistry and I loved watching their relationship evolve and grow. The witty banter between those two made for some pretty humorous moments. A wonderfully well written, entertaining story that had me engrossed until the end and at often times had me smiling and laughing out loud. Loved the book! What a wonderful start to a great new series. I can’t wait to read the next book!

What a story!!! The Kidnap Club; three men dedicated to helping women in impossible circumstances. I Loved It! It had desperation, manipulation, greed, maliciousness, self-sacrifice, secrecy, dark pasts and one extremely extraneously logical woman. Our hero is heir to a viscountcy but was cut off for the last five years because of his addiction to gambling. He was a brooding person till he met the heroine and she showed him that he needed to take the next step in healing which was taking responsibility for his actions and not blame anyone else. The h was a strangely cerebral person having books teaching her about life but never emotionally first hand experiencing any of it on her own. Now she has met the H and she naturally tries to break down all her feelings and rationalize them out. I adored her. She was too funny and that scraggly cat of hers meant the world to her. The kidnap caper did not go according to plan but they survived. A happy ending for all.
Grace Beaumont will receive her inheritance when she turns twenty-one, which is just a month away. Her money will allow her to be independent. In order for this to happen she needs to find a way to avoid marriage to the despicable widower (maybe murderer) her uncle has promised her to. Grace’s aunt who loves and raised her has a plan. She knows of a group of men who help women in this sort of situation. The Kidnap Club will kidnap her and hold her until her birthday. Problem solved – maybe.
The Kidnap Club is an interesting idea. The club itself has an interesting mix of members and “helpers.” This is an entertaining and exciting story. There is a bit of drama and definitely danger. Grace is petite and beautiful, and the definition of dynamite in a small package. She is caring, intelligent, curious, confident, and outspoken. She loves her aunt and her cat, Claude, who intereacts with everybody and brings a measure of humor to the story. Nash is a reformed rake. He has been disowned and is too proud to go home and try to repair the rift between him and his father. Grace nudges him in that direction. He is kind and protective. Their romance is heartwarming and funny. I enjoyed Nash and Grace’s story. I am looking forward to finding out what happens with Guy and Russell.
Book one of The Kidnap Club series a well written story with a great storyline. Miss Grace Beaumont is under her Uncle’s whims he has told Mr. Worthington he could marry her, so he could get part of her inheritance. She gets in touch with the Kidnap Club and gets them to kidnap her. Lord Nash Fitzroy is one of her kidnappers. I enjoyed seeing this story come together, and found myself laughing at certain things as I read. I want to read the next book. First of all, this is the first book by Samantha Holt I’ve read so I had no idea what to expect from her writing style or her characters. If you’ve read the teaser to “Capturing the Bride” then you have the premise of the storyline. What you don’t get is the personalities of the characters or the emotion woven through the tale. Grace’s plight is all too real a situation in her time and often brought about the exact circumstances threatening her life. And then there’s Nash. Let’s not forget him. Born and raised in luxury. Living the life of a ne’er-do-well until he’s finally completely cut-off by his father. When these two get together it becomes serious in its situation and yet the personalities these two have and bring out in each other had me chuckling and shaking my head. This really was an unexpected delight to read and I’ll definitely be following closely for the rest of this series.
Grace doesn’t know what she is going to do, her Uncle wants to marry her off to a suspected abusive man just to get his hands on some of her inheritance. She has to get away but she isn’t sure how to do it, then her Aunt tells her of an idea she’s had. She’ll get kidnapped and held for ransom for a month until she turns 21 and can inherit her funds without marriage. What could go wrong?
Nash, and his friends, started this so called kidnap club a while back now. He takes great pride on being able to help these woman transition from one situation to a better one. He listens when they need and eye, offers a shoulder when they need to cry but he never, ever gets involved. Well until Grace walked into his home that is.
Grace and Nash form an unlikely duo, while I enjoyed their coming together story, I felt like it lacked something for me to swoon. I have been loving Samantha Holt books as of late but I can say this one was the first to leave me a little meh feeling. It was a tad on the predictable side and while the whole of the book was very slow and providing depth into their daily on-goings. The end felt extremely rushed and maybe a little underwhelming.
I voluntarily read and reviewed without expectations, all opinion expressed are my own.
This book is about Nash who belongs to the Kidnap Club, who help women get away from unwanted marriages. Grace is under the control of her uncle until her twenty first birthday, he has arranged a marriage with a cruel man. Grace’s aunt has arranged for the Kidnap Club to rescue Grace. When Nash first meets Grace, he knew she was different. He had feelings for her when he never had feelings for any other women, he has helped kidnap. You will enjoy these two loveable characters This book is the first book in a new series, The Kidnap Club, and I can not wait for the other books to read about Nash’s friends. I love reading books by Samantha Holt books.

After his father disowns him because of his gambling and roguish ways Lord Nash Fitzroy joins up with the Kidnap Club who helps women who have badly arranged marriages and/or in abusive situations. When Miss Grace Beaumont has been forced into an arranged marriage by her guardian but her aunt who has raised her since the death of her parents has arranged her kidnapping until she turns twenty one then she will get her inheritance. Lord Nash takes her in until she turns twenty one but he is attracted to her and her sharp wit and intelligance. This is a sweet witty fun romance with two wonderful characters.
A wonderful tale of love and self discovery, as two people who should have nothing in common, somehow are perfect for each other. The story flows at an enjoyable and natural pace, with plenty of fun moments.

Ooh, I want to be kidnapped by the members of the Kidnap Club!! This was such an original storyline that Ms. Holt conceived in her imagination and then brought out to share with her avid readers! As much as I loved Nash I also loved Grace who had so much spirit and spunk. She never let her circumstances or the cruelty of her uncle and his machinations get her down. The banter between Grace and Nash was so great and as a reader, I could almost see the sparks emanating from them as they got to know each other and found a love that would only continue to grow and strengthen in the years ahead. Nash was an ideal hero and he really came through when it counted in order to protect Grace but also to discover his self-worth as a man! A superb book that renewed my belief in the innate goodness in people no matter what time period they may live in! I can hardly wait for the story of another member of the Kidnap Club and see how that man finds a love worth risking everything for!

I loved his new, unique regency storyline. I hope that we see many more in this series! It was most adventuresome and had such wonderful characters (including an interesting cat). There were a couple steamy scenes.

I really enjoyed this first book in the Kidnap Club Series, away from the ballrooms and all the rules – it was fun, humorous, dangerous with blackmail, cut off by family & a forced betrothal. The characters were so much fun, although some evil ones did appear.
Lord Nash Fitzroy was a rake, a gambler & an heir to a viscount in his younger days but is no longer any of them. His father cut him off and tossed him out on his own & he hasn’t seen or talked to them in years. He did meet up with an old university friend who told Nash of his plan for helping young women out of problems – like forced marriages, abusive husbands or fathers, etc. & Nash needed money so he agreed to be part of the operation. Nash’s responsibility was to protect the lady when she was delivered to his home in the country until travel arrangements could be made for her.
Miss Grace Beaumont is being forced to marry a man so he will get a portion of her inheritance left to her by her father when he died. She will receive this money when she turns 21 years old which is just a few weeks away but her uncle & guardian is forcing her to marry a man before her 21st birthday when the inheritance will go to her new husband & he will cut her uncle a portion of the money. Her Aunt, whom has raised her since her father died, loves Grace & arranges for her to be kidnapped & hidden away until her 21st birthday when she can get her inheritance & then Grace & her aunt will move away.
Grace & her cat, Claude are kidnapped successfully & the meeting between her & Nash is such fun. There conversations are hilarious – Grace is an innocent but very intelligent, inquisitive & is not afraid to ask questions on any subject. Nash is worldly, handsome & smooth talking former rake who is thrown for a loop by this lady as she is so different from the society ladies he has met & she is smart & outspoken. The two of them caused me to laugh several times while the story kept me turning pages.
I was gifted the Advanced Reader Copy of this book & all opinions are my own & have been voluntarily given.
Nash is a rake who gambled too much before his father cut him off. He and his friends formed The Kidnap Club to help women out of desperate situations for pay. Grace is a sheltered heiress escaping from a greedy uncle and the abusive man he wants to marry her off to in exchange for sharing her dowry. She insists on bringing her ugly cat to this kidnapping, talks a lot, asks way too many questions, and takes notes about everything. There’s plenty of adventure as Nash and his friends run with her dodging her evil fiance and his goons in their quest to keep Grace safe and several funny and steamy moments between Grace and Nash.
Kidnapping … for a good cause. But the kidnapper did not expect that while kidnapping someone, his heart would be held hostage. Talk about karma.

What an entertaining book & original too. The first in what looks set to be a first class series. Three men who ‘kidnap’ women to save them from abusive marriages, undesirable betrothals or any other situation, which puts women in danger, I loved the originality. It was a fun read, which I read in two sittings, strong characters who were very likeable as well as horrid villains. I loved Nash the reformed gambler who had been disowned & Grace who needed to while away a month until she came into her inheritance, their banter & attraction was delightful & I loved how they fell in love. A well written, engrossing read that often had me smiling & lifted my mood.
My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read
Miss Grace Beaumont’s uncle is determined that she will marry the disgusting Mr. Worthington so that her new husband would get the money coming to her and split it with him. She is almost 21 which is when she will be entitled to the money, but if she marries before then, Mr. Worthington gets the funds. Fortunately, when things get desperate, the Kidnap Club is available to help young ladies out of horrible situations. So Grace’s aunt arranges a kidnapping for her and, once she gets her money, she and her aunt will both leave.
Lord Nash Fitzroy, at one time a rake and gambler, now disinherited by his Viscount father, partnered with friends to provide a service to help abused or marriage-forced women to get out of their bad situation and escape for a new start somewhere else.
Grace is “kidnapped” and Nash is delighted with her intelligence and inquisitive nature. He has never met anyone quite like Grace before. Can he protect the women while protecting his heart?
This terrific book is filled with plenty of humor, drama and real emotions. Nash and Grace had a nice chemistry and I loved the interaction between them. Along with the humor, the story line easily kept the reader engaged as this couple’s relationship evolved. This is definitely a charming romance that will leave you smiling, laughing and grateful that heroes still exist.
Claude and Priscilla can they make a go of it?
Grace does not want to marry and her Aunt Elsie understands and finds a way to help her. Grace is to be kidnapped, ruined, and returned to London to receive her inheritance on her 21st birthday. Now that was the plan but things had a way of changing and Nash played a big part in that. The twists in this one were good some I did not see coming. Love the characters and the banter between them. I adored Claude he was the bestest ever! What a fun read this is the one to pick up. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
