If one is very, extremely desperate, then one may call on the services of a clandestine group of men. The Kidnap Club—known to few—specialize in helping women out of difficult situations. Arranged marriages to awful men, for example.Miss Grace Beaumont is at the mercy of her uncle who is determined she marry the depraved Mr. Worthington. Desperate times call for…well, the Kidnap Club. It seems … Kidnap Club.
It seems insane. Perhaps it is. But anything is better than being married to that man.
Lord Nash Fitzroy has looked after many a kidnapee over the past few years, but none make him want to break the cardinal rules as much as Grace. Her determined spirit, quick wit, and, let’s be honest, her pretty looks have him struggling to remember his role in this.
Protector, defender, and occasional shoulder to cry on.
His way with women and the almost derelict offerings of his ancestral home as a hideaway make him a perfect pretend kidnapper. He doesn’t much mind the money involved either, seeing as his father cut him off.
Which means, he cannot afford to get this wrong. No matter how tempted he is to show Grace that Worthington is not a prime example of how a man should be and burn the damned rule book.

Three and a half stars. This is a different story than the usual Victorian Era novels. Three gentlemen kidnap young women who find themselves being forced into marriages they don’t want or are not allowed to marry the man of their choice. Everything is going smoothly until Nash meets Grace. I liked the characters in this book but I had some difficulty with the sexual activity. It’s not that I don’t enjoy those hot scenes and they were well done. It just didn’t seem like something that would have happened during that time period.

I enjoyed this book. I found the plot concept intriguing, the story engaging and the characters fun. I felt that this read did have a bit of an over-the-top feel but that didn’t make it any less enjoyable. In fact I thought that it only added another level of humor to what this book already has on offer. Grace and Nash were so cute together and I found it impossible not to root for them. The story itself is made of a entertaining combination of drama, secrets, emotion, action, suspense and romance. By my own volition I am posting a truthful review.
What an unusual storyline but a great one! This is the story of Grace who is being forced to marry by her uncle. To prevent the marriage her aunt arranges for Grace to be kidnapped and held until her twenty-first birthday in four weeks. The man guarding Grace in Nash, a known rake who has been cut off from his family because of gambling debts. The two together along with Grace’s cat make an unlikely pair on the run from Grace’s uncle and assumed fiancee’. This is such a great read, I would definitely recommend it.

A story that is sweet and funny from beginning to end. Grace has a dry wit and a penchant to speak the truth. She is intelligent and curious. She has a problem and is “kidnapped” as the solution. Nash is supposed to keep Grace safe, comfortable and hidden. He cannot resist either her or her cat. Falling in love for these two was not a part of the plan it is fun watching and listening to them as they discover their mutual attraction. The author describes Grace as petites but gives her a big personality. The reader will enjoy the development of their relationship as each of them learns and grows into better people.
Nash was a charmer and Grace was an intelligent sweetheart. What a delight.
Grace has grown up in the care of her aunt and uncle, but only her aunt really cared about her. Her uncle was a miserly man who gambled and kept his wife and niece in ragged clothes. But Grace has an inheritance coming when she turns twenty one in a few weeks and her uncle has sold her in marriage to a cruel old man with the promise of some of the monies going to him. So her aunt devices a plan for Grace to be “kidnapped” for ransom. Three peers needing money have started a Kidnap Club where they help women get away from abusive husbands, avoid forced marriages, or elope. But Nash, the man assigned to stay with her for a month and make sure she is safe, someone she comes to care for. And she keeps Nash intrigued. Then they are found and they have to leave. Now they are on the run from her uncle and her “fiancé”. Can he keep her safe until she gains her inheritance? I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review
Masked Savior
May contain minor Spoilers but only from chapter one.
Chattel plain and simple. Poor Grace orphaned at a young age. Was placed into the loving hands of her wonderful Aunt Elsie, her fathers sister. Unfortunately along with Aunt Elsie came Uncle Charlie. Now Graces’ father left her a sizable inheritance one that would be given her husband upon marriage regardless of her age. Uncle Charlie whom I’m sure was looking out for her best interest arranged a match for her before she turned twenty one. To a Mr Worthington who as Grace worded it Worthy, he was not. He was a despicable man, one that had just recently buried a wife that was rumored he pushed down the stairs. Upon the marriage Worthy would get the fortune and good old Uncle Charlie would receive a portion. Grace was assured by loving Uncle Charlie that Worthy would make a fine husband. The rumors were devised to hurt his fine reputation no doubt he gave his wife a good spanking every now and then but what woman hasn’t needed a spanking as Uncle Charlie put it. Thank goodness Aunt Elsie was craftier that she seemed. Who knows what might have become of grace and “clawed” had she not arranged for the ruination. Nash made a wonder Hero. Little did he know when he kidnapped Grace he was finding the love of his life. I definitely wouldn’t mind being kidnapped by The Kidnap Club.
Thank you Samantha Holt.

The Kidnap Club was formed to save women from violent marriages or unwanted engagements. Grace helps arrange her own kidnapping and ends up falling in love with Nash who has been disowned by his Viscount father. The story tells of their relationship and how it grows while Nash tries to keep her hidden until she turns 21 and receives her inheritance. What starts out as a kidnapping to save Grace from an unwanted marriage turns into a HEA. The story is well written and entertaining. There is a small amount of danger but that is quickly disposed of. Overall it is a good story and I would recommend it.
Very enjoyable story. Loved Grace and Nash together, and the story line was different than other books. Watching Grace and Nash fight their feelings for each other before finally giving in was wonderful. And Claude was a great addition to the story!

What an absolutely delightful and witty story this was to read, I enjoyed it tremendously! I adored the humour throughout and found myself giggling quite often:) Samantha Holt has quickly become a “must read” author when her books come out.
I adored Grace, from her tiny stature to her scientific brain and I also loved Nash, who doesn’t know what hit him when he meets Grace!! She’s different than any other women he’s ever met and although he’s made a promise not to touch her while he’s taking care of her, passions overcome all else. With danger surrounding them, Nash is also hiding a part of his life he’s not proud of and worries that Grace will hate him when she finds out.
A well written story with lots of action, danger, suspense, twists and turns and the interactions between hero and heroine were hysterical at times:) I received an ARC of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Starring Miss Grace Beaumont and Lord Nash Fitzroy.
I thought Nash and Grace were a fun couple. They certainly kept me entertained. Nash is a wonderful beta hero. Grace is put under his protection so he tries his best to resist her… and, of course, she’s a temptation that he can’t refuse. Grace is a fascinating heroine. She has a very logical mind and takes things in the literal sense, so she made me laugh a lot. I love that she takes notes of everything. It’s her quirk. Oh and Claud, Grace’s cat, is amusing too.
I did enjoy this story. I did cheer for Grace and Nash. I just feel that the ending was kinda rushed. I was expecting something a little bit more. But overall the romance was good, great chemistry between Nash and Grace, and I liked the intrigue thrown in the mix.
This is the first book in Samantha Holt’s Kidnap Club Series. I am looking forward to reading Guy’s and Russell’s stories.

My star system: 4 stars
Book was great. Loved the characters. Storyline kept me entertained… but did not make me cry. Will re-read this story again
Book one the Kidnap Club series. Can be read and enjoyed as stand-alone. Told in dual POV with HEA. I loved the dialogue & banter between Nash and Grace. Grace is not like any lady Nash has met before. I appreciated the little bit of steam in this sweet historical romance!
This Author gives us a story that involves Nash, a man who lost everything , Grace, an intelligent lady with an inquisitive mind, Claude her cat, being betrothed to a murderous man by her uncle, an aunt who hires a group of people to kidnap her, and makes all of this giggle worthy.
