What does Ronin, Julia and Kincaid have in common? Is there such thing as a third wheel? A wonderful second chance, menage, novella. I really enjoyed reading this book. Looking forward to more books by Carrie
I love being able to catch up with characters I’ve been introduced too in other books.
In this steamy 1001 Dark Nights novella, we catch up with Julia & Ronin who are part of the Montgomery Ink world. They are a happily married couple who think something is missing from their life. That “something” turns out to be Kincaid, someone from Ronin’s past.
As always, Ms. Ryan does an amazing job with all types of relationship dynamics as well as all of the off the charts chemistry between all parties.
I always love diving back into the Montgomery Ink world!
A wonderful addition to an addicting series! Already having love in their life Julia and Ronin didn’t know they were missing anything until Kincaid returns into Ronin’s life. What happens next had all the delicious sexiness that you could ask for in a MMF romance read. I enjoyed their crazy chemistry that heats up as they find there is room for one another in their life filled with hope and heart. A definite must read!
Making a relationship work is hard. It takes care and communication. Adding another person makes it that much harder but if its right it will be worth it.
Ronin has been in a poly relationship before. When it crashed he survived and found love with Julia. They’ve been happy together for years but when his former lover, Kincaid, comes back to town a broken and beaten man, Ronin and Julia need to see if Kincaid can be a part of their lives and in what role.
This is a really sweet and heartwarming tale of unconventional love that only goes to prove that love is not a one size fits all prospect. This is a well written, sensitively approached tale of love and forgiveness.
I really loved getting to know this couple that we have meet as friends of the Montgomery’s. Julia and Ronin appear to have it all, love , chemistry and communication. When Kincaid shows up on their door step they wonder if they can have what they dream of…… a successful triad. As a couple they make a decision to find out if Kincaid could fit into their lives. I loved the way we were able to watch this triad evolve and work through the early fears and complications. You will love this story.
Beautiful story. Ronin and Julia are so very happy and In love. However, they knew they were missing something when Kincaid comes back. I just adored how open and honest their relationship was.
5 star Review Captured in Ink (Montgomery Ink: Boulder #4.5) by Carrie Ann Ryan
Having read a few books by Carrie Ann Ryan I couldn’t wait to dive in to Captured in Ink. It may not be a long book but Ms. Ryan certainly packed a lot into this story.
What an emotional roller coaster of a read this book was. Julia and Ronin are solid in their relationship despite the rocky times and horrors of their pasts that have endured. They have discussed adding a third to their relationship but have not moved forward . However when Ronin’s ex Kincaid returns to town, they both realize that perhaps their relationship may have been missing a specific someone and that is Ronin.
The chemistry between Ronin and Kincaid still sizzles but it is the unexpected connection between Julia and Kincaid that surprises them all. In fact after reflection it appears that this trio is meant to be. One of the things I loved about this book is the communication and discussions that occur between Julia, Ronin and Kincaid, the connection between the three of them are soul deep.
What happens when outside influences put doubts in their minds, will this blossoming trio be able to withstand the pressure or are they destined to fold before they really get a chance to succeed and find an everlasting love together?
From start to finish I was entranced with Captured in Ink and didn’t want it to end.
This may be a novella length read but it all the ways that matter it is mighty. Intense and powerful emotions, out of control chemistry and deep, enduring love are woven throughout this compelling romance. Julia, Ronin and Kincaid were all likable and I found them easy to connect with and root for. An intriguing and enticing unconventional romance that gives all the feels. This is my frank, freely posted review.
Julia and Ronin are deeply in love and their marriage is strong and filled with happiness but when a blast from his past comes back to make amends will the duo realize that they are actually missing something? Will that missing link be Kincaid? Can Kincaid make their marriage stronger or be the link that fails everything? With great characters and plenty of steam this was a great read.
I was so excite to read this and Carrie did not disappoint! This is set in the Montgomery Ink Boulder world. This is Julia and Ronin’s story. Ronin works at the library so he is friends with the Montgomery men. Their marriage is good and they are happy, but when Ronin’s ex comes back to town Julia wonders if three could be better than two? Ronin never spoke much of his past relationship, but both he and Kinkaid need to come clean about their pasts and the reason he is in town. I love watching how their relationship develops with the three of them and how they – mostly Julia – deal with those that can’t accept what they have. I just loved this!!!
A very quick yet no less entertaining, sexy and emotionally thrilling journey filled with heartwarming and exciting twists that left me with a smile on my face. Really enjoyed this sweetly sexy adventure from beginning to end.
Another emotional story from Carrie Ann Ryan. This sees Ronin and Julia add a third to their relationship. The story is full of emotion, it deals with unforgiving families and moving forward. Any story with the Montgomery’s are always a great read.
Timing is everything… Ronin is at the point of his life where he has it all. Good job, great family and a beautiful wife to share it with. Then his past comes knocking on their door and throws everything he thought he knew on its ear. Now faced with truths that won’t be denied they all need to decide what they want if they’re willing to fight for it.
Second chance with a ménage twist…
Adding a third to a happily married m/f(Ronin and Julia) union sounds like a bad idea, but this story does it with heart and grace. And it could go either way considering the “m” being added, Kincaid, broke Ronan’s heart years ago. This short heart wrenching tale treats their problems realistically and is both sweet and HOT as all get out. Great afternoon read!
I love the Montgomery Ink books. They are phenomenal, an all time top series for me. Captured in Ink is a well written, emotional triad that will definitely give you all of the feels! I absolutely loved it!
The emotions, the feels and the love between the characters in this book is immense. The fact that Ronin still loves Kincade is a given but he loves Julia, his wife more. She’s his world. Can they find a way to love each other and be together? Will the universe grant them their wish?
I adore Carrie Ann Ryan’s writing because it’s so real, the conversations feel true and not scripted.
If you want to add another to your marriage, then check this book out, honestly it’s amazing
Carrie Ann Ryan is a must read author for me. Her Montgomery world is full of amazing characters and great stories. This was a novella about Julia, Ronin and Kincaid. This story just flowed really well and had her trademark steamy scenes. The characters were not Montgomery’s but you had cameos from some of them which ties everyone together. Love Carrie Ann Ryan!
I think this has to be one of the best triads I’ve read about! Seriously, a well established, crazy in love couple and an ex back in the picture. The attraction is still lingering for the two previous in a relationship but sparks immediately between the two unknown to each other. Honesty and sharing build the ties as everyone settles in to where they want to be. Unfortunately, human emotions overrule logic sometimes, and the bonds they are building were still fragile when doubts happened. New ways of doing things, experience from past practices, and a will to be there for each other definitely brought these three together when it all could have fallen apart <3
Love the way Carrie Ann sorts out relationships. Ronin & Julia have been married for a few years now but the both thought something was missing & liked the idea of adding an extra person to the mix. After a dinner with a triad, they were clearing up for the night when an old friend of Robin’s turned up, (an old lover)!
