Love this series!
First I want to say I want to be a Maverick, what an amazing family! I love this series & loved this book! This is Gideon Jones & Rosie Diaz’s book & it was incredible!! Gideon with Rosie’s help (along with the adorable Jorge & Noah) overcomes his demons & finally lets himself be happy & become a true part of the Maverick family. He also helps Rosie (along with all the Mavericks) when she & Jorge are threatened by her ex, Jorge’s father. This book has all the feels & the supporting characters are there for each other as always. This book & series are a must read if you haven’t read them yet, you will not be disappointed!
Captivating in Love is a fun, sweet romance. Gideon and Rosie were wonderful together. Watching Gideon struggle with his past tugged at your heart. Gideon and Rosie’s support of each other was great and once they admitted their feelings for each other the chemistry they shared was hot. What a wonderful read.
“Captivating in Love” (The Maverick Billionaires Book 6) by Bella Andre and Jennifer Skully is a great read. I enjoyed Gideon and Rosie’s story. This is a wonderful addition to the Maverick Billionaires series. Wonderful characters, romance, close family and friends, humor, military, and more. I can’t wait to see what happens next with The Mavericks. Highly recommend to all fans of romance, entertaining characters, and series.
What happens when you have two little boys who want to be family?
They do everything in their power to put together a romance! Jorge and Noah are a hoot!
I’ve loved the Maverick Billionaire’s series by Bella Andre. If you’ve not read them, you should. This story focuses on Gideon and Rosie.
Gideon, the world-weary veteran who feels like he let his sister down when he left home for the military at 18. His family needed the steady income, and this was his choice. When his mother died and his sister went into foster care, he knew he’d failed. Not being able find her once he was out of the service magnified his grief and guilt.
Rosie, made an error in judgement when she was young, but the result was her adorable son, so is it really an error? Having been raised in foster care, she knows what she wants. Rosie’s made her life with her son and her friends, cheering with them as they find love.
Gideon doesn’t feel like he can love, but now that he’s reunited with his sister, he knows he must be the man he longs to be. His sister’s best friend Rosie makes him feel. He’s not sure he likes that. Rosie feels the attraction too.
When Gideon is tasked with taking care of his nephew, Noah, while his sister and Noah’s dad are on their honeymoon, Jorge and Noah up their match making game. With Jorge being Noah’s best friend, and Rosie’s son, these two cuties use their wiles to keep Gideon and Rosie near each other!
Problems arise for the couple, but that just makes the Mavericks unite to keep everyone safe.
Captivating in Love can be read as a standalone, although I recommend reading the other stories in this series first.
Words are escaping me… I freaking LOVED this story and I am having problems putting my thoughts into words.
I fell for Gideon, Ari’s brother in the previous Maverick books. The silent, lovable, emotionally scarred man. Gideon lost his team in the middle east. Since that time, Gideon feels unworthy of love, unworthy to become part of the “Maverick” group. He could not see himself as a good man. My heart broke for him. When I found out he was going to get his own story…. EEK!! I was so happy. I could not wait for the book to hit my Kindle. However, I felt no one was going to be good enough for Gideon. He would need some one extra special.
We met Rosie Diaz in a previous Mavericks book as well. I really liked her. Rosie along with Ari and Chi, grew up in foster care and became sisters of the heart in all but blood. Rosie was/is a kick a…butt, take no prisoners lady in my opinion. She is raising her son Jorge as a single mom because when she told her ex she was pregnant and dropped her and basically told her to get an abortion (I hated that low life). With the help of her “sisters”, Rosie finished school and has raised Jorge to be a great kid.
When Rosie first met Gideon, she knew he was something special. She knew she could help him heal his injured soul. She knew could really grow to love him.
When Gideon first met Rosie, WOW, she was unbelievable, special, a really great mom. But, Rosie needed someone special, a man worthy of her. NOT himself!! However, Rosie would not be deterred, she would find a way.
I LOVED this story!! The way Rosie just kept knocking down the walls that Gideon kept putting up, WOW!!! Then, Rosie started getting the phone calls, Gideon went all papa bear. He would protect Rosie and Jorge with his life. I loved watching Gideon start to believe in the man he actually was.
I was gifted with a copy of this wonderful book for my reading enjoyment and for my honest opinion of the book. I became a fan of Bella Andre and her books when I read my first Sullivan book. When she teamed up with Jennifer Skully for the Maverick series, I could not wait to read it. In my humble opinion this series is phenomenal and this latest book to the series, Captivating in Love, is just more icing on this particular cake. I can’t wait for this book to come out on audio, so I can buy it and add it to the rest of my collection. I love this book that much.
Thank you for reading my review. I can’t wait for you to read this wonderful book and fall in love with it as much as I have.
Happy Reading!!!
The storyline was well written and the characters were so well developed that as I turned each and every page I felt like Gideon and Rosie jumped from the pages and pulled me right into their story as it effortlessly unfolded!
I voluntarily offered to review this book with no obligations and my opinions are honest!
This was a great book !
Rosie is attracted to Gideon right away.
Gideon come back from the war with ghosts.
When taking care of their friend’s child together, they get much closer to each other.
Soon, their attraction turns into something more.
Will Gideon gives love a chance ?
Loved the characters + the storytelling !
It has all the ingredients that you need for a great book!
I have loved all the Mavericks’ books so far and this one is no exception. Everyone knew Gideon & Rosie would be perfect for each other before either of them did. Rosie is a single mom to a wonderful little boy Jorge. Gideon’s nephew Noah is Jorge’s best friend. Gideon agrees to watch Noah while his sister Ari is her honeymoon after giving her away at a very emotional and absolutely perfect wedding. Gideon and Rosie schedule many play dates for the boys which of course involves them spending a lot of time together as well. Since they’ve both been crushing on each other for some time now it isn’t long before they figure things out. The strength they give each other is beautiful. I love the organic way in which things happen for them so much and couldn’t have asked for a better ending. I look forward to Lyssa’s book next!
This is such a good book!
I truly enjoyed reading it!
It’s a heartwarming, fun, sexy
& moving story. Everything you
want in a true romance.
Gideon Rosie, steal your heart
from the very first pages to the last.
Great characters & the comfort of
friends & family make it the perfect read.
A Must Read!!
Loved Gideon & Rosie!! Gideon has been fighting feelings of guilt forever. He feels guilty for not being there for his sister Ari when their mother died. Guilty for not keeping her from foster care & losing touch with her. Guilty for the men under his command that dies from an IED. Guilty for not telling Karmen how he felt before she too died. He also seems to be suffering from some PTSD with his flashbacks & withdrawing. Once he met Rosie & Jorge, he had to battle his feelings & his physical attraction. He didn’t think he was good enough for her.
Rosie can’t believe the strength of her attraction to Gideon. He hasn’t done a thing to encourage her but she can see forever with him. After all of the years of having to be strong, she doesn’t know how to turn to someone else. When Jorge’s father starts terrorizing her, she tries to hide it but Gideon finds out & vows to help her. Can she get Gideon to realize how good they are together?
I really was drawn to these characters. At first, I could see Gideon & Rosie together at all. She seems so open, bubbly & friendly while he is so closed down & brooding. Once Rosie starts winning him over, the authors allowed his more tender & playful side to emerge! She needed to use all of her patience & determination but managed to capture his heart. Jorge & Noah managed to bring out Gideon’s playfulness while they were trying their hand at matchmaking. I love when kids add to the storyline like these two did. I can’t wait for the next story!!
Bella Andre is a phenomenal author that can captivate and consume you with her books. Captivating in Love pulls you in. I devoured this entire book, I had anxiety just thinking about putting it down. I had to finish it in one setting. I was fully captivated.
A beautiful story of family, love and acceptance with characters that you respect, admire and champion. I really enjoyed Gideon, Rosie and Jorge’s story.
Love Bella Andre!
Captivating in Love certainly captivated me! I have thoroughly enjoyed every book in this awesome series, but Rosie and Gideon’s story resonated with me in a very emotionally memorable way. Two little 6yr old boys played matchmakers for these two, and their antics caused many an “aah” moment in this poignant and endearing love story. The healing power of a woman’s love and laughter, as well as the innocent trust and acceptance of a child helps lead to the redemption and the renewal of hope for a very deserving man. Loved every page of this book.

Captivating In Love was the sixth book in the Maverick Billionaires series by Bella Andre and Jennifer Skully.
We met Gideon and Rosie Diaz in book three, Fearless In Love. Gideon Jones was former military and had been trying to find his sister for years after learning his mother had died, which left Ari in foster care. Rosie was a single mom and had been one of Ari’s best friends since they had been in foster care together. Fast forward to Captivating In Love and the authors opened with Ari and Matt’s Wedding.
The plot was a very slow build while enumerating every detail of Matt and Ari’s wedding. Then the authors dug further into Gideon and Rosie, their back grounds and their personalities. Although interesting and written with depth, it was a little slow for me until a suspenseful element was added around the last third of the book. I then couldn’t put it down and enjoyed the full circle. It was a journey of healing, acceptance and love.
The authors also blessed us with the full maverick gang and the bond of loyalty. Lyssa is next up and sounds intriguing.
Love this series
Love love love this series!
Ok predictable at best.
DNF.
This is probably the first ever Bella Andre book that I did not finish. A big part of the problem was that I have not read the previous books in the series. This book does not work at all as a stand-alone.
The first ten chapters describe the wedding of two characters from a previous book. Let me tell you, that is a really long time to read about a wedding (I think it was the first 70 out of 221 pages). It was a really cheesy wedding too complete with robots (!), peacocks (!), and puppets (!).
The two main characters in this book–Gideon and Rosie–have already met and have a mutual attraction. That was another reason that the book didn’t really work for me. I felt like I was dropped into a storyline and didn’t have have a chance to see the relationship develop. There was no chemistry for me and the characters were bland.
I seem to be in the minority so maybe reading the earlier books makes all the difference.
