This was an absolutely brilliant read and finished off a superb series. What a superb storyline, plenty of sex between Luciano and Chloe which is cruel and sadistic. I loved that Luciano was a strong capo and did not hold back. Chloe was also such a strong character not giving in and holding her own under very bad circumstances. I was definitely sorry to finish the book and I am going to start the whole series again just so that I can read this book again. I highly recommend this book and this series as one of the better mafia stories.

4 1/2 Stars
Yikes! Luciano was a true sadist and reveled in the pain he inflicted wherever he went. The opening scene where he was introduced to the storyline was kind of creepy and dark, revealing his heartless persona that was violent, raw, and gritty. Seemingly unredeemable, yet a huge hook to see how this storyline would play out with Chloe.
I’m not a fan of graphic, multiple play by plays of the main character with other women even if he hasn’t met the main female lead yet. This dark tale had lots of that and worse. Also not a fan of Luciano and Christian and how they were ready to beat, torture and murder women at the drop of a hat. A little too dark for me, but I was warned about the content.
I loved the way the author had Chloe seek out Luciano after being beaten by Christian. That act in itself showed her strength, grit, and courage. Brave, but utterly Stupid. Pain and reality set in when Luciano brutally inflicted more pain on her battered body and psyche. I kept reading, almost desperate to find some kind of redeemable quality in him. With each despicable act, my star rating dropped.
Kudos to the author as something miraculous started to happen, while Luciano didn’t transform into a sensitive pussycat, a series of traumatic horrifying and violent acts forced him to reassess the priorities in his godforsaken life. Not a story for the faint of heart as his thirst for inflicting pain never goes away and the sadistic/masochistic graphic scenes with Chloe escalate and are plentiful.
Intense, passionate and oddly romantic as their obsessive relationship culminated in a very satisfying ending.
Well written and well done!

This book made my head spin in a really good way. Luciano is the capo and no one defies him and gets away with it. No one except the beautiful Chloe who is also a headstrong tornado that crashed into his world unexpectedly. These two are dynamite together. Dark, violent, sexy, twisted and delicious.
This is book 6 in the russo series. This is a dark mafia romance. The characters have determination and strong will. The story line has danger power exchange violence and suspense.

Capo is definitely a dark read. Luciano is a true sadist, and I had a hard time reconciling what he did to Chloe in Capo with building a lasting relationship. At the end of this book, I was unsure if she was staying with him through her own desires or because she’d been manipulated into believing that there could be no other fate for her. Martin depicts the difficulties and challenges of a mafia lifestyle well, yet the unrelenting grimness of this story left me feeling cold.
I think Martin is a strong writer; there’s no question of her ability. But there was an early section where Chloe voluntarily goes to confront Luciano. Even though she knows from her best friend how terrible Luciano can be, even though she’s been beaten by Luciano’s brother Christian, Chloe blithely marches into the lion’s den without even considering that he might take even further drastic action against her. This frankly made Chloe seem rather dumb to me, and I wished Martin had found another way to drive the plot in the direction she wanted.
At the end of the day, readers have to build a connection to the characters they’re reading about. The darkness of this story, and the lack of true change and evolution in the characters, made that impossible for me to do.
Luciano does VISCIOUS so well. No wonder he is the Capo! But behind every man is a woman who can bring him to his knees. I really didn’t find that in this book although Luciano begins to creep into my heart and make me see him in a different light. Chloe is SUPERB! She proved that this BAD as GOOD GIRL has what it takes to hang with the CAPO. She is one TOUGH broad and knows that. These characters came through with the MAGNIFICENT writing. Nicolina writes some of the best words to ever done a page. The ending was truly the best for this series! I love EVERY book! She brings these characters to life with the greatest requiescence that you cannot help but fall in love with them and become invested in their lives. I am so glad I took a chance with this series!

This is the sixth and final book in the Russo Saga series a well written story that kept me turning pages. This tells you of the Russo men and the women who come into their lifes and almost die doing so. It ends with a wedding. I wonder what the next series is going to be? This series ended with a bang! The intensity of the characters is only a portion of why you need to read this newest release. I loved the characters how they are portrayed and come to life with the vivid details throughout the story. I knew that Chloe’s character had to have strength and sass to catch the eye of Luciano and as their story unfold it was more than I excepted. A well written storyline and unforgettable characters makes this dark mafia romance read a one click.
This was dark gritty story. The story grabs you and doesn’t let you go until the very end. Chloe is so brave and is beaten almost to death. Then she’s dragged to Luciano Salvatore “the Capo” who shows no mercy and is just as brutal and cruel. Chloe just doesn’t become a doormat and the more she stands up to Luciano the madder he gets. What finally softens him some is the way he sees Chloe with his son who has autism. Such and overpowering all consuming and awesome read. Definitely recommend this story. This is a magnificent, extremely intense dark mafia romance & I definitely enjoyed reading it. The plot is suspenseful, well-written & intriguing with outstanding scene descriptions & good world building. The main characters are well-developed although some of them are realistically emotional flawed & exhibit devious intentions in order to get their goal while another character tries to adjust in a new & unfamiliar world. There is some good support from the secondary characters.
There is: a feisty young woman (Chloe Becker) confronts a mafia boss (Luciano Salvatore aka Luci) after a brutal beating from his dangerous hitman (Christian Russo) when she tried to protect her friend (Kerry Jackson) & promptly gets taken as a slave/submissive but after some time his attitude slowly begins to change when he sees how Chloe treats his son (David), twists & turns, intrigue, drama, suspense, secrets, mystery, mafia, threats, danger, enemies, rivalry, conflict, attacks, war, action, adventure, beatings, injuries, confrontation, humiliation, abuse, defiance, manipulations, devious plans, brutality, whippings, strange attractions, confusion, vulnerability, distrust, regrets, emotional turmoil, compromises, steamy scenes & strangely enough there is love, contentment & a interesting epilogue.

Dark, rough, and darn right scary at times.
This was a very interesting book but I am not sure it is believable. Luciano and Christian are both the worse sort of human there can be yet after all these two did Kerry and Chloe end up with them and let’s be clear both women are lucky to be alive. There is a great deal of rough sex in this book but it is a well-written dark tale. There are parts that brought a chill to my spine and this book is not for everyone. My one suggestion is to read the description before getting the book and realize that what is between the pages may just be more horrible than it reads. If you like dark and mafia this is the book for you. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
This book was awesome! It will keep you an on the edge of your seat. It’s gripping suspense and enthralling read.
Luciano Salvatore is a brutal man with the heart. It’s hard to believe because he will take whatever he wants.
Chloe is his captive and he is punishing her for past, for future and just for living.
But Chloe is not what he only sees, she has different side and he didn’t discover that, yet.
This is a fast paced, intense, dark, twisted, all consuming, and incredible read! I definitely recommend Luciano and Chloe story. You won’t be disappointed.

This is such a good book. It shows the journey of Chloe and Luciano’s relationship. It progresses in many different directions, but there are elements of love throughout. Good book, well written!

Holy freakin….
What just happened!
Intense, brutal, sadistic, controling, commanding, Luciano Salvatore is not someone you want to tick off, have as an enemy or be in his debt. His life is one of violence, bloodshed, fear inducing, life controlling power.
Chloe is a woman of strength. Strength that will be tested physically, mentally and emotionally by any and every means deployed by Luciano. Out of pain, torture, lust and more rises a love that cannot and will not be broken. Fantastic read!
Looking back over the whole series, I have to say Ms Martin turned up the voltage bit by bit with every book. Now this one is the culmination of all the fear, apprehension of, or at least understandably careful distance, even by family members, from Luciano Salvatore. Capo of the Salvatore/Russo family.
He has earned his reputation as a ruthless manipulator and killer by keeping a cruel, deadly reign over family, business acquaintances and especially enemies.
This book weaves all the men of the family and their stories into one powerful crescendo.
I shows that even a man as reprehensible as Luci can change. Not into someone sweet and lovable. But one breakable, sometimes incredibly naive, if not stupid, woman with a backbone of steel, manages to endure the worst of his debasements, and by doing so bring about changes that are appallingly fascinating to watch.
This should not be the end!!!
OK, I’ve been waiting for Luci’s story from the very beginning, and it was worth the wait. It was pretty much everything that I would’ve ever wanted to read, and was so much everything that I needed.
I am going to come right out and say that I have totally hated Luci. And this isn’t exactly a redemption story for Luci. He’s pretty sure that he doesn’t need to be redeemed. He starts out the book sorta happy with who he is, maybe.
Then we have Chloe, who helped her friend get away from Christian, and who paid for it, dearly. Chloe is really strong, fierce, devious, and courageous. She’s not necessarily the best decision-maker sometimes, but she did what she thought was the best thing to do at the time.
Nicolina Martin wrote a great story. We get a very dark and strong male character, and she doesn’t knock off his edges. We get Luci in all his monstrous glory, with all those rough edges, and with all the things that have made us hate him in the past. We get to see so much more into him and to get to know him so much more.
Do I love him? No. Do I hate him? Probably not. Is he a fascinating character? Most definitely yes.
Chloe is Kerry’s best friend. She helps her escape from Christian and when Christian comes looking for Kerry, he beats her brutally and she ends up in the hospital. When she gets out, she goes to confront Luciano Salvatore, the head of the crime family. It’s not her best idea and Luci keeps her prisoner so that he can have a personal toy. The next part of the book is pretty graphic and can be uncomfortable. Luci sexually tortures her and tries to break her. He does not succeed and there is, eventually, a HEA. I ABSOLUTELY LOVED it. I have been waiting so long for this one. We always catch glimpses of Luciano and his mob boss life but now its his personal thoughts. It was simply amazing. You’ll love to hate him amd then end up just loving him. Its not what i thought it’d be, it was better. I’m desperate for a follow up from this couple.
