Cheyenne has always had a crush on her father’s best friend Jase. Once she finished high school, she thought it best to go away to college. When she completes college, she comes home, never thinking that her attraction isn’t one-sided. Jase had a hard time letting Cheyenne leave for college without revealing his feelings. Now that she is back, he is going to win her heart and start their lives together. I love this trope of older man (brother’s best friend, dad’s best friend, etc) and younger woman. The best thing about Cheyenne is that she is smart and levelheaded. She is very mature for her age and knew from a young age what she wanted. She didn’t let anything distract her from that goal. The connection between them is strong right from the start and illustrated how right they were for each other. I loved every sweet and sexy word of Can’t Walk Away!
He wants her but she is too young for her besides her dad is his best friend. She goes away by are while she returns Now He wants her even more and he intends to have her no matter what anyone says, including her dad. can he won her over? What about her dad? See if he wins her over

Loved Jase and Chey
At 21, Cheyenne has finished her degree, in 3 years. Working as a web.designer. Moving back in with her parents, is strained. Her graduation party full of her mother’s friends, and Jase.
Chey has had a crush on her dad’s best friend, Jase since she was 16. Her feelings haven’t changed.
Jase has know Chey is the women for him for a few years now. He wanted her to follow her dreams before claiming her. Now she is home and their is nothing stopping him.
A sweet and steamy, older man younger women romance. Loved Chey and Jase. A great epilogue to wrap up their story.
“You’re my heart, you’re my home, you’re the warmth to my soul
Great story. Not to much angst. Just some drama from h’s mama. While I enjoyed the story, I like my H’s a little more “you’re mine everything else be damned”. When she left for college, I get that he wanted her to go out and experience life but I would have liked to see hin tearing shit up to get to her sooner and not just because she’s back home. At any rate, I still loved the story and still recommend.
-virgin h, no details on H but assume celibate
-no abuse
-no cheating
-dual POV
-epilogues at 9 months and 5 years
Dad’s friend is a hottie! Liked this story with Cheyenne and Jase. Jase is older than Cheyenne but has been looking out for her and waiting for her to be done with college before letting her know how he feels. Lucky for him, Cheyenne feels the same. There is a bit of drama, but it works out and they get their HEA. Must read!
Can’t Walk Away written by Tory Baker is a fast pace and spicy novella. The plot is about the crush Cheyenne has for Jase ( her father best friend ) since she was 15 years old. She goes out of town to study and returned home after finishing her degree. Now is the time for Jase to get his woman. Can they ignore the family drama? What will her parents say? Can they overcome the age gap? Their chemistry is hot and sexy. The characters are wonderful. If you love old man & younger woman romance stories then this one is a must read!
This was my first book by this author, and I was pleasantly surprised. Can’t Walk Away is a super sweet and steamy book. It’s an older man/younger woman trope. Cheyenne and Jase had some sexy chemistry. I’ll for sure be reading other books by this author!

Loved Che and Jase’s story. A five star read love how you always give us a beautiful love story with a happily ever after!!
Cheyenne has had a crush on Jase since she was fifteen but never thought he would ever feel the same. So she concentrated on her education and when she had breaks she came home but only so she could catch a glimpse of him. Jase knew about Cheyenne’s crush on him but it never matter to him until she turned eighteen and then he couldn’t stop thinking about her. He wanted her to get her education before he made his move and it upset him that her parents didn’t seem as caring for her as they should. Once she finished her degree she came home Jase wasn’t waiting any longer to claim his woman. What will her family think about them being together? Will Cheyenne finally get her heart’s desires?
This is a steamy hot story that will captivate you from beginning to end. The chemistry between them is off the charts hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend it to any book lover.

This was a great little read!! Jase and Chey were adorably sweet. It was crazy romantic and very steamy. It’s a good book when an author can make Insta love more romantic than creepy. I really enjoyed this!

Cheyenne has always harbored feelings towards her dad’s friend Jase. Thinking he will never see her in that way, she goes on with life & goes to college. What Chey doesn’t know is that Jase has noticed her & is waiting for her to finish school & experience it all. Now that she’s grown up & back home he no longer has to wait to make her his. This was a good read with Jase giving Chey the opportunity to grow & to live independently for a bit before claiming her. Looking forward to reading more from this author!
It’s a quick light read. I was sucked in from the beginning with its sweet and sexy storyline. I loved the characters. I enjoyed the sparks and it’s an enjoyable read.
Cheyenne has just finished college and is finally getting ready to start her life. She has been in love with Jase her father’s best friend for years and is hoping to show him how she feels! Jase fell for Chey years ago, but didn’t want to stand in the way of her career! Only now that she’s back he’s done waiting!! Can they find their happily ever after? Or will her family stand in their way?

Based on the book’s blurb, I really wanted to love it – but it just missed the mark for me. It moved pretty quickly with out a lot of backstory on the main characters, Cheyenne and Jase. I would have liked to have seen the development of the relationship between the pair. It felt rushed. It was a quick read, but there were some parts that were hard to read due to grammar mistakes and awkward wording.

A bit anticlimactic! Growing up, Cheyenne had a crush on her father’s best friend, and went away to college in order to get some space from the situation although never forgetting him. When she rushes through college and comes home, she finds that the feelings she has for Jace are not only unwarranted, but wanted by him and with him feeling the same way about her. Of course with the age gap and family drama, the two get together and work through everything together. While I am a big fan of Tory’s books, this one seemed a bit anticlimactic for me regarding Cheyenne’s mother. I would’ve loved to know if anything she said was actually true and if so find the answers. Can’t wait for the next one from Tory though; love her writing!

Jase has been fighting his attraction for Cheyenne for three years and now that she is back from college he is determined to make her his forever. Cheyenne has always loved Jase but circumstances have always kept her from acting on them but now she is ready for him. These two have. a great romance and it was very sweet. My only critique is that I wished we had a little more back story and lead up to them getting together. Still a great story though.
