“If you love Susan Elizabeth Phillips for romantic comedy, and Janet Evanovich for suspense, then you’ll love everything Janet Elizabeth Henderson writes!” GoodreadsThere aren’t many jobs available in the tiny village of Arness, Scotland, which is why Mairi Sinclair works online—as a virtual girlfriend. For a weekly fee, she emails, messages and sends photos to desk-bound geeks around the world. … around the world. Nothing dodgy, mind you, she keeps her clothes on! Mairi loves her job, because the last thing she wants is to be tied down to one man forever. Life is so much simpler when you can keep men at a distance.
And that’s why she’s upset when her virtual boyfriends start turning up in town. Someone has hacked her online presence and given out her real life address. To make matters worse, they’ve told the world that she’s looking for a husband and the first virtual boyfriend to romance her properly will win the role in real life. Mairi needs help to fend off the hordes. She needs help to hide and find out who sold out her details. Fortunately, local mechanic and one time boyfriend, Keir McKenzie, is more than willing to help her—for a price.
He too wants a chance to win Mairi’s heart and tie her down forever.
★ A hot and steamy, second chance romance, a tiny Scottish town overrun by quirky characters, and lots of heart warming laughter.★

A superficial funny story with deepest endearment and intimacy hidden inside!
Really enjoyed this story and finished it as quickly as I could. Love to hold my grudges too but Mairi has me beat on longevity.
I loved this book!! She did the best job creating the guys and their personalities that I could see them doing what was described and laughing along with it. This would be a fun book turned into a Netflix movie.
In Can’t Tie Me Down, Mairi finds herself in a real-life version of the Bachelorette, unintentionally. I loved how Keir steps in immediately to help her and try to win her heart, too. This story is sweet, spicy, and laugh-out-loud funny! I love the humor and the family relationships you get in any Janet Elizabeth Henderson novel and this is no exception. Solid writing, engaging characters, and beautiful love story. The only problem I had with this story, was I wish it were longer! But, I’m sure we will see these characters again as the series continues.
Very entertaining, could be a great series starter.
Great summer read and haha funny!
This romance novel was disappointing. It had a wonderful premise that was not used. Instead of being funny and drawing out the characters of the virtual boyfriends who visit to court our heroine after a hacker posted that instead of being a virtual girlfriend she wishes to marry. The virtual boyfriends come to her small Irish village to meet and court. Instead of using this great idea for a novel, we are presented with an overused premise which is a war between two former lovers. Heroine had a wonderful boyfriend who broke her heart. The heroine and this old boyfriend have a back and forth for at least 6 chapters. He wants to get back together and is her present landlord. She loves him, but does not want to get back together. This type of premise is over used and boring. I stopped reading after the 6th chapter. Waste of time.
Another crazy book from an author who has a knack for crazy situations. Dialogue is a hoot along with off-the-wall characters. Guaranteed to make you laugh. Sexual situations with happily ever after ending.
I didn’t really find this story funny. There are a few quirky things that go on. I didn’t really find that the two characters had a lot of chemistry. I just couldn’t bring myself to believe that they had feelings for each other.
Very cute!
it made me laugh out loud… then we had to get all graphic with the sex scenes… which I skipped… it was a cute, if somewhat predictable story. just leave out the graphic detail… we know how it works, play by play, part by part descriptions are not necessary.
Wonderfully entertaining read! An enjoyable read from beginning to end. Loved it!
Mari is nutty and caring. A wacky, funny tale with a happy ending.
A very light-weight but amusing story with a happy ending. Nothing to challenge the intellect but ideal for a holiday read
Love this book. Great characters, fun read.
I’m so glad I didn’t judge a book by its cove r(which did nothing for me). This book was so fun and original, with likable characters. The premise was fresh. I really enjoyed the writing, as well. I have found a new author to read!
I LOVE all of her books. They are laugh out loud funny!
It Should have been listed as soft porn. Not my preference.
Fun beach read with characters who are pretty clueless. Plan to laugh out loud.
This story has everything I love about Janet Elizabeth Henderson’s books: a brilliant cast of quirky small-town characters (stubborn Scots included), witty dialogue, all the feels, ensuing hilarity, all wrapped up in an over-the-top-but-making-way-too-much-sense story arc.
Plus adorkable geeks aplenty.
When does the next book in the series come out???
6/5 Wookiee stars
