I had no intention of falling back into the sheets with the tattooed, muscly, dirty-in-the-best-kind-of-way single dad over and over again…but I did.
Everything was going great–until we discovered I was his son’s teacher.

I’ve probably said this before but, I love this series so much. Can’t Text This is amazing. I loved the characters. I felt that ache in my chest. I was laughing, I was sad, did shed a few tears and I felt the ever growing passion they had for each other. I loved Robbie in the previous books, the little glimpses that Hunter allowed us to enjoy.
This is an opposites attract story. That starts, in one of the sexiest, awkward ways possible. It wasn’t too angsty, it was just right. Hunter is just doing a fantastic job. Her writing style I’ve grown to love so much. She has a way of making you relate to a character and get into their head. That’s what I love most about reading.
And you feel so at peace after your done, you want to enjoy more. I was just really sad when it ended. It was a beautiful story. I just wanted to hug it, and if I had it in paperback, I would have. Is it weird to want to hug a book? I hope not.
Overall, of course Five Boundless Stars
OMG. GUYSSS THIS IS SUCH GOOD LAUGH. like seriously if you love a book that’s gonna make you laugh like the wholeeeee book then this book and the others are for you. Robbie…. lets discuss. 1. Tattoos 2. yummy body 3. Swoon. 4. He’s a single dad… Need I say more? Monty. Well well this girl is great too. I love her and the banter her and Robbie have. This pretty will be signed and on my shelf
Can you say opposites attract!
Robbie and Monty couldn’t have been more different that what they really were together. He was the bad boy, tattooed kind of guy and she was the conservative, preppy type of girl. Obviously not a great combo right!
But these two when they got to texting, they had you rolling with laughter. I loved their witty banter and their crazy sense of humor. Monty didn’t do swearing so the words she would substitute for the swear words were just so darn cute and hilarious. Robbie just had such a potty mouth that it made it that much more entertaining.
I have to say Teagan Hunter really caught my eye with the titles and covers to her books and although this is the first book I read from her, I have to say she really had me entertained from beginning to end.
I don’t think it could have gone any other way with these two characters!
Totally a hot, witty and entertaining read!
I am so happy i picked up this book ,its such a great combination of sexy and funny with a dash of sweet on top 🙂 i totally want to read the other books now 🙂
Omg i loved everything about Robbie ,his dirty mouth ,his cheesey pick up lines 🙂 how he is with his son 🙂 he is such a great guy ,funny, kind, hot and omg the tattoos (fans self) they sound amazing and i loved that he and Monty started texting each other really random things and how their relationship unfolded was great ,they are 2 characters i would totally read about again 🙂
Loved Monty ,i totally get how sheltered she is and how doing things that aren’t a big deal to others is a huge deal to her ,it was interesting getting to see how she was able to finally step out of her comfort zone and it also pulled Robbie outta his 🙂 they are total opposites and it really works for them 🙂
I loved the side characters and i can’t wait to read their books soon 🙂 really enjoyed Teagan Hunter’s writing!
CAN’T TEXT THIS is full of witty banter between the dirty talking single dad Robbie and the effervescent yet inexperienced Monty. Their texting is funny and endearing. Once they can no longer resist one another, they burn up the kindle until complications interfere. It’s really well written and I couldn’t put it down until I found out how things worked out.
This book is funny, and sweet and all the things a good romance book should be. I really enjoyed it!
Love this book! Monty and Robbie are so different but the fit together so well. The first books in this series were amazing and I wondered how this would be different but I needn’t have worried because Teagan Hunter is a master of LOL Rom Coms and keeping things interesting. Can’t wait for more.
This was another wonderful story in this series. I recommend this book, series, and author.
h: Monty
H: Robbie
(Dual POVs)
Montana aka Monty is the definition of goody two shoes. She doesn’t cuss, her skirts are always knee length or longer, and she’s a virgin. One night she decides to let loose and drinks enough to give her some courage, and she finds herself making out with a hot tatted man in the bathroom! Before things go too far, Monty leaves tatted hottie in the bathroom, but not before leaving him her number!
I loved this book! It’s my favorite in the series so far! I loved Robbie as a father. He was somewhat sarcastic and had a playfulness to him but also took really good care of his son. Robbie was I was a tiny bit boggled as to what was so intriguing about Monty, but I did enjoy seeing her come out of her shell a little bit. I loved the way things were resolved and was happy these two worked it out! Also, I need to find a photo booth
Favorite quotes:
”Thank you for trusting me with your body, Monty. Thank you for choosing me, for allowing me to be the one who will always have that part of you,” -Robbie
THIS IS GIRLS’ NIGHT. PUT YOUR MAGIC DADDY DICK AWAY. WE’RE HAVING A DICK FREE NIGHT. -Denver
I absolutely can’t get enough of Teagan and her witty humor. I love this series and Monty and Robbie stole my heart. Teagan has a way with words. This was a super fun book with insta-chemistry, witty humor and romance for days. Another winner in this fabulous series.
Another fantastic read in the Texting series! I loved this book so much; it made me laugh, it made me cry. It made me happy to have read it.
This series is the best, so fun and light. Monty and Robbie are so perfect, complete opposites, but complement each other so well. I love the witty, sarcastic banter back and forth. Teagab Hunter does an amazing job creating characters that you can relate to and a story line that leaves you wanting more.
Sexy meet cute
“Python “ is now my second fav character in this series, but still doesn’t beat out “Edward”. Loving that the H and h are full of sarcasm in this series. Need to find me one of them in RL
This series is awesome – DEVOUR these books!
Robbie and Monty are the sweetest characters… well not so much Robbie, but Monty is. Robbie is a single dad who has been burned by love before – enter Monty and their coming together is a wild and funny ride! Get on this ride – you need to add these books to your collection – you won’t be sorry!
I should have read rather than listened to this story. While I did like the previous 2 books in the series, this one fell short of the enjoyment I expected to get from the series. There were some entertaining moments in the conversations the main characters had via text and the (predictable) storyline was told with a well timed flow. Hence the 3 stars give credit to that. But, man, was it difficult to ignore the male narrator’s interpretation of the characters. Who chose this guy to read the male parts? Who briefed him and who thought this performance was adequate? I am sorry for the author as I simply can’t imagine, she agrees to the personality the male narrator gives Robbie, Monty, Zac and Xavier. I am sorry for the readers (or better: listeners) who are fans of the series. And I actually pity the male narrator as he has been directed poorly. My suggestion: re-do the male parts of the audible narration. This would vastly improve the impact of this book.
OMG what a book! Teagan has done it again! Monty & Robbie are my favorite characters out of the series! Their chemistry and spark have me craving more and more. It was funny and spicy! I loved this story and wish there was more. Can’t wait to see what is next from her!
Another witty, fun ride
One of my favorite series, I somehow missed reading this when it came out, so when I was looking something to lift my spirits, I moved this to the top of my TBR.
An opposites attract story (buttoned up Monty meets tattooed Robbie), I did have a little trouble getting into the story initially, partly due to the virgin plotline (I just don’t usually find those stories as interesting as other tropes) and partly that Robbie never intrigued me the way other characters have. I really liked Monty from the start and I loved the banter between Robbie and Monty, and Robbie and Zach. And oh my gosh, I LOVED how Robbie was with his son! Man, “Be good. Be smart. Be kind.” What great words to live by! So, yeah, by the end, I was loving Robbie, lol.
As usual with this series, there’s place of hilarious texting going on (“Me: Is it possible to die from rolling your eyes so hard? Python: You texted back, so apparently not.”) and some hot sexting as well. I was having so much fun just enjoying the book, I went with the flow instead of trying to figure out where the plot was going, so the twist COMPLETELY blindsided me. Completely. I actually laughed at myself for being so clueless.
Another witty, fun ride, and just what I was looking for. 4.5 stars
Original review: https://myshelfbooks.wordpress.com/2019/04/07/cant-text-this-teagan-hunter/
After reading a book that drained me emotionally (in all the good meanings), picking a Romantic Comedy by Teagan Hunter was exactly what I needed. I know there are many big names in that genre thar are hugely acclaimed, but, in my humble opinion, Teagan is the new Queen of that genre. Her style is a hurricane of fresh air that has given me new hope for a genre I thought it was stuck.
This time we meet Monty (or Montana), a teacher whose strict upbringing has made her a bit shy in the relationship department. On the other hand, we have Robbie, a single-parent thar may look like a bad boy, but he is far from one. They meet at a bar, Monty’s alcohol level makes her more open-minded and end in the bathroom where they exchange much more than a few kisses. After that, Monty ran… Will she be able to get over the initial shame and have some fun? Will Robbie be able to drop his womanizer behaviour and court her properly?
Even though I love the whole book, the first half is much stronger than the second one. The sense of humor in those first text exchanges are an amazing source of laughter that leaves the reader in serious need of medical attention. My whole body hurt due to the convulsions from the bursts of sincere laughter that I had every minute. I love Teagan’s sense of humor. It is just perfect for the Romance genre. The banter is crazy fun, full of surreal exchanges and perfectly used sexual innuendos. Those last tend to make me cringe in other books (where everything is shaped like a penis…), but in this one they just enhance its comedic side to a very high level.
My only complaint about the book is that is rather uneventful. The fact that Monty is the teacher of Robbie’s son was there in the blurb, but it doesn’t appear in the story until much later (about 70%). That was a bit disappointing, because it could have been a nicer and longer drama if it were presented earlier. By the time the characters find that bit of info, they were so invested in each other that the solution to the issue was easier than expected. I may not have liked that, but it’s not big enough to be a problem for the enjoyment of the book. The superb banter distracts the reader from any possible shortcomings of the story.
Teagan is not only a Master Joker, she is also really great creating characters and given them a special voice. I always fall in love with them and the male counterparts are sure candidates for my list of book boyfriends. Robbie is not an exception. Not only he is the epitome of Eye Candiness (even though I would prefer less ink…), he is a good humored guy, with a golden heart and a great father. A self-made person who is a the perfect role model for everyone who doesn’t believe in second chances. If you are willing to change your life, just do it. I also love his mischievous ways around Monty and how naturally charming he is (it doesn’t feel forced at all). And he is just the right amount of cocky to enhance his sexiness. No wonder Monty found him so infurating!! He may not be perfect, but it is hard to find something wrong about him… *sigh* Book boyfriend!!!
Not long ago I was told by the author that this saga is not called Text. That Goodreads got that wrong somehow. Sadly, the saga continues unnamed, which drives the freak organitzational nerd inside me a little mad. So I’ll keep using the wrong name until there is something official or I could lose my mind (I’m weird that way). The same day I discovered the truth about the wrong name, I also learn that the next book in the saga is also the last, so reading the fourth one is going to feel like a goodbye for really good (and insanely hot) characters. I will need to check more of her works to fill the hole they are going to leave…
Opposites attract!
Monty & Robbie couldn’t be more different from each other. But, wow, they fit together very nicely!
Monty is so straight-laced and buttoned up but really starts to come out of her shell in all her texts with Robbie. She still can’t say anything remotely close to a swear word, which is okay since she’s a school teacher, but she’s loosening up a bit. They bring the best out of each other.
Not a lot can compete with book 1 ‘Let’s Get Textual,’ but this is close. It’s fun and full of laughs and sweetness – & plenty of sexy too!
Great read!!
Can’t Text This is Robbie’s book. I loved him as a side character in the first book and was excited to see he had a book of his own. I loved this book as much as a the first. Robbie falls for the plain Jane Montana aka Monty. I love these two together; from their banter to the way they met to their scorching chemistry. Great book!!!
