5 Star Review Can’t Text This by Teagan Hunter
This was a new author to me and can I just say, what a way to start my reading experience off. This book had me laughing so much I hurt my stomach muscles. There were oh so many snort out loud moments that my husband thought I was crazy and I ended up in tears; such was the hilarity found within these pages.
I certainly swooned over single dad hero Robbie, in fact he ticked all the boxes as far as I was concerned. The banter and the texting between Robbie and the virginal Monty was humorous and steamy.
Monty is rather sheltered and Robbie is so not who she is used too and yet there is something about him that keeps drawing her back time and again until complications arise.
This was one of those books that I didn’t want to put down and is a great example of romantic comedy. One click this little gem, I don’t think you will be disappointed. Now I am off to find more books by Teagan Hunter
I love this series. The first two books were amazing, so I assumed this one would be and this one is my favorite out of the three! I really enjoyed Robbie and Monty. They are so opposite, but it works. Monty is what you could consider a goody-goody, she doesn’t cuss and is totally reserved compared to Robbie. Robbie has tattoos and looks more like a bad boy. I’m glad that this book shows that tattooed people aren’t exactly as they appear. Don’t get me wrong some are but most aren’t. I love how much fun these books are, the first two were so funny it was ridiculous, this last one I feel was a little more serious. Which is appropriate because of Robbie’s son, but it was still laugh out loud funny. Really enjoyed the story, I had a busy few days and I had so much anxiety because I wanted to read. It was an itch I needed to scratch but couldn’t. I can’t wait for book four to come out next month, Text Me Baby One More Time. I am definitely going to check out more of her books.
I loved this book every bit as much as the previous 2 in this series if not more. Monty and Robbie were a case of polar opposites attract….and boy what chemistry that created! I definitely recommend this series!
Out of all the Text series books, so far, Robbie is by far my favorite! This book has all the trademark sass and humor that I’ve grown to love from Teagan Hunter. I honestly don’t know what I’ll do with myself when this wonderful Rom-Com series ends!
I had been eagerly awaiting Robbie’s book, Ms. Hunter you did NOT disappoint. I absolutely fell in love with Monty & Robbie. Their chemistry was amazing and there banter was witty!
I am such a sucker for the bad-boy and the quirky good-girl, so this one by Teagan Hunter was right up my alley. The concept for getting to know each other via text was really cute and the banter between Robbie and Monty was hilarious. What made me love this even more was Robbie as the single dad, I don’t know what it is but I find that so appealing.
The story was sweet, the chemistry was off the charts and the dirty talk that came out of Robbie was hot. Then we have the crabs, bunnies and Zach, this was such a fun read! I was expecting more conflict in the story, but I actually appreciated the amount we got.
Can’t Text This was the first book from this author and I loved it, I am now looking forward to reading the rest in this series.
The real star of this story was 7 year old Xavier. He just cracked me up every time. Monty kind of annoyed me. For somebody who had finished college, she was lacking knowledge in current pop culture. And Robbie was the opposite. Way over the top trying to sound like a “bad boy”. I was also frustrated when the obstacle to their relationship popped up. It could have been so easily solved!
Oh man these books just get more clever than the next! I was SUPER curious about Robbie and what happened to him. I’m not sure I missed it in the first book or not, but I was surprised when it said that he had a kid in I Wanna Text You Up. That made me even MORE curious! I couldn’t wait to see what his kid was like, and I was so damn excited to find out HE’S JUST LIKE ROBBIE!
Then of course there’s Monty. Monty is pretty much THE BES THING EVER. I love her name, her quirkiness and her innocents. It’s just so awesome that she’s just so opposite from Robbie. It was just downright perfect. And not to mention how they met. I was laughing SO HARD! Although, I laugh sooo hard throughout all of these books. I may have laughed the most at this one. Between their banter, and the funny things that Xavier said I laughed the whole time!
I also adored getting to see little glimpses here and there of Zach and Delia so much! Especially getting to see the goats, that really had me cracking up. Apart from the laughter and these funny things, I loved the story line of this one! I love that Robbie is a single dad and that Monty was his sons teacher. The whit of that alone was great, but also makes for a great romance! The two of them being so opposite, and then their love being “taboo” made such a great story line!
Okay…I NEED a Robbie and I NEED him now! This is by far my favorite book in the series so far. Robbie is completely swoon worthy and Monty is the underdog you want to win!
Robbie–a foul mouthed, single father who happens to be hot as sin finds himself drawn to the buttoned up girl next door type, Monty. She’s the complete opposite from his type yet he can’t get her out of his mind.
Monty–a buttoned up, good girl who has always followed the rules and never cusses knows she shouldn’t be attracted to Robbie. She knows they have nothing in common but she can’t control what she feels for him. He pushes her and makes her feel free in a world where she never has.
This is a true story of opposite attract but it is the best one yet. You’ll want your own Robbie and even find yourself wondering if you should invest in a Monty wardrobe lol!
Teagan has done it again with another wonderful texting book. I love how she writes these books. I could honestly picture her and the Marine having some of these conversations.
Monty is a straight laced, innocent teacher who is just now spreading her wings and getting away from her controlling family. She has one wild night out which results in texting with a guy she normally would never talk to.
Robbie is a tattooed, single father who doesn’t have much free time on his hands. One encounter with the proper redhead has him all tied up in knots.
I loved the banter between these two. They were complete opposites in every way, but that made their chemistry that much stronger.
Robbie’s mouth and Monty’s refusal to cuss made for some hilarious messages being exchanged. I kind of knew what the conflict was going to be about, but the way it played out was so much better than I could have imagined. I also loved that we got to see most of our favorite characters from the previous books. It was nice to see that Zach hasn’t changed one bit!

I love Teagans texting series their hilarious. So I’m not surprised that this was amazing, like come on how can you not like the line “Hi Monty. Wanna see my python?”. Cracks me up every time I read the blurb, my only recommendation don’t be drinking any fluids while reading this book, I dont know how many times water or French vanilla came out of my nose from laughing. I cant pick a favorite in this series, there all tied for first place. I fell for Monty and Robbie how can you not. 5 stars doesn’t even cover this amazing romcom, can’t wait to read more of Teagan’s work.
So damn good. This entire series has been fantastic! I love the sass and snark, not to mention all the texting. This series is now firmly on my list of favorite series ever! Oh and Robbie? Dibs!
Can’t Text This was just as good, if not better than the other two book in the series. Although, it was a *tad* predictable it didn’t take away from the hilarious execution of the story.
I’ve wanted Robbie’s story from the beginning, if you’ve read my review of I Wanna Text You Up, you know that I originally shipped Robbie and Zoe. Once again I would have been wrong, Monty is the perfect my match for Robbie.
Monty and Robbie are the epitome of opposites attract. The ‘good girl’ and the ‘bad boy’ and the two together were perfection! I really loved getting to see a deep look into Robbie, from his friendship with Zach to his relationship with his son. I loved how this ‘one time thing’ turned into more.
Monty and Robbie’s texting was hilarious, witty as they transformed from strangers, who almost hooked up in the bathroom, to best friends who couldn’t get enough of each other. I loved watching their desire transform from something originally sexual to something more emotional and deep.
I cannot recommend Can’t Text This along with the rest of this series by Teagan Hunter more. I don’t even have the right words to tell you how much I loved it. JUST READ THESE DANG BOOKS!!
Wow so I read this. Ok in only a couple hours . I could not put it down . I loved everything about Monty and Robbie . They are both hilarious and down to earth characters. I love the way Teagan writes characters you would want to be friends with . During the book you get some visits from other characters of Teagan’s like Zach and Delia .
I think my favorite aspect of the book was just how innocent Monty is . I love that Robbie is so in you face , tattooed up and a single dad , while Monty is reserved , no bad language and just nice . This adds so much to the dynamic and sexual chemistry the characters have .
God Teagan Hunter did it again , you can not go wrong with this book . I laughed , I cried and then I laughed so hard I cried some more . All around amazing book
I love these books!
Can’t Text This is the third in a series that I haven’t read. I enjoyed this story so much that I’m getting the first two. I’m a fan of opposites attract, single dad, sorta taboo rom-coms. I’m a fan of Robbie and Monty. Straight laced Montana lets loose in a dive bar and finds her self getting frisky with tattooed hottie Robbie who threw down the best one-liner of the night. O-interruptus has them both frustrated and intrigued. Robbie has texting game and it keeps Monty very entertained as they get to know each other. I laughed a lot at their funny banter. I really liked the supporting cast and Robbie’s adorable son Xavie. There is a rich and full world built around this couple. I love reading about normal people doing normal things. I was cheering for them from the very beginning!
Nothing can come from a lusty meeting in a bar between straight-laced Montana and single dad and tattooed Robbie, right? Except they can’t stop thinking of each other. Love the text conversations in this book. And what happens when they find out the one thing that could keep them apart?

I absolutely love the Text series, and this book was no exception, it was great.
I laughed so hard at Monty and Python/Robbie that I cried and may have woken up the husband a few times. Their romantic adventures are epic and truly worth the read. I definitely recommend this book.
Teagan Hunter did it again with another laugh-out-loud RomCom. My husband kept looking over at me because I was giggling while reading. Teagan’s humor is on point. This series has always been perfect for when I need a light read or have been having a rough week and just needed to get my mind off of things. I’d like to say I could pick a favorite couple from this series, but I just don’t think that is possible. Each is fun and exciting in their own way. My current favs are Robbie and Monty though right now! Can’t Text This was fun, flirty, and sexy with witty banter sprinkled in all the right places.
