What happens in Vegas doesn’t always stay in Vegas… for a night in Vegas delivers the shock of a lifetime. He’s got a five-year-old daughter, one who believes wholeheartedly she’s a fairy. What’s he supposed to do with that? It’s not like he even knows what being a good father looks like.
Life didn’t go exactly as Coco Cavanaugh planned. Her big dreams of launching a business are derailed when a one-night stand with a charming stranger results in a surprise pregnancy. As a single mom, she manages to find a happy balance raising her adorable and hilarious little girl, while mastering the art of chocolate-making. It’s a good, safe life. One she’s proud of.
When fate brings them together again, Coco remembers exactly why she fell into bed with the irresistible Beckett. But she’s not that free-spirited girl anymore. And his jet-setting lifestyle isn’t conducive to raising a child.
Is this a second chance at another one-night stand or the beginning of something real?
They’re everything he never wanted.
And he’s everything she didn’t think they needed.

Can’t Help Falling In Love
(Calamity Falls #6)
Written by: Erika Kelly
Can’t Help Falling In Love kept popping up on my Facebook feed so I popped over to Goodreads and saw a few people I knew had read it and enjoyed it…so I grabbed it and I’m glad I took the chance. I very much enjoyed this second chance, surprise daughter story.
A one night stand in Vegas fro Coco and Becks, lead to the birth of the cutest little fairy girl nine months later. Now the problem is how does she find Posey’s father to let him know about her. No phone numbers exchanged and they had both used nicknames for their night on the town; so other than Posey there is only one thing that could be mentioned, the touristy Welcome to Vegas memento.
It wasn’t until six years later that they ended up in the a convention room at a resort in Calamity Falls, Coco showing a social media influencer couple what she can contribute to their wedding. There he is!
How is Beckett going to deal with info? The loss of his little sister years ago, along with his parents marriage breaking up, Beckett had never planned on having children. However, this little fairy looks so much like his little sister and as he gets to know her, his heart melts and he wants to spend time with her. Time he doesn’t really have because of his current job.
Coco has always wanted Posey’s father to get to know her, and now that he’s here there are all sorts of emotions and thoughts taking up space and sometimes giving her negative information.
These two need to talk; they need to be honest; is this a short game thing for Beckett or is he in it for the long haul, which means changing his life. Just as Beckett has a lot to thinks about so does Coco. Her problem is she is so use to relying on herself, can she give up being the one in control of Posey’s life?
This is a beautiful story of two grownups that need to come to terms with so many issues, the biggest one has just turned five and is sure some day soon she will earn her wings. There are laughs; big adult discussions that needed to happen and two people who are attracted to each and just want the best for their girl!
My first by this author and I really think I’m going to grab the next book
I love series, I love small towns with lots of characters built in to them
I also loved how when finding out he has a child Beckett has reality smack him right in the face when he runs into Coco the girl he felt a connection with 6 years ago in Vegas
Coco finds herself pregnant when she spends a night with a stranger in Vegas and who encouraged her to follow her dreams
Hence how 6 years later living her life as a Chocolatair and mum to a 5 year old precocious little girl ( whom you will fall in love with)
A chance resetting for these two and life instantly changes
The feelings are still there and Coco is amazing I thought in her acceptance of Beckett suddenly appearing and informing him of their amazing little girl they created
There is no B/S when these two meet again which I loved
Coco is upfront and to the point about telling Be Kerr the truth and also very protective in how their daughter is introduced to him
Beckett has what he thinks is the most amazing life, professional Snow Boarder, now a extreme sports junkie travelling the world with an adrenaline junkie girlfriend to boot
He loves his life, and doesn’t realise, it’s not actually the one he wants until he runs into Coco again and he is told about their daughter
Once again great characters who also have their stories and some to come
Another series for me to get lost in
I liked the characters. Very compelling.
Interesting story!
Wow! This is my second Erika Kelly book and I just LOVED it! The feels were seriously amazing! From the first time Coco and Beckett met, you just felt their chemistry oozing from the page. Beckett was so freaking sweet when they met, taking her on a roller coaster and Ferris wheel rides and their talking, you just FELT their connection. When they met back up again years later that deep connection is still there and we can still feel it. We also feel the struggles between them and the dilemma of how they can possibly make a future together. It is heartbreaking.
The character development is great for both characters. We see them as young adults and then a few years later and then the growth they both went thru to find their HEA. Both characters needed to grow and figure out their priorities in life – and they do. The little girl, Posie, absolutely stole the show! She is a strong soul and does not play around!
I love the writing and so much more and can’t wait to read more of Ms. Kelly’s stories!
Erika Kelly has a way of just pulling you into a book and not letting go until the last page. I’ve loved her writing since I picked up her Rock Star Romance series. She writes strong, smart, sexy women who can hold their own against their hero, and this book was no different. I loved Coco’s character, how she handled her very strong willed daughter, but it was how she handled Beckett being in their lives that really got to me. And Beckett…Oh My! Such a great character. So much baggage. Seriously a hero worthy man. Their love story was sweet and touching, but it was him coming to terms with his demons and becoming the person you’d be proud to have at your side, or call your son, or friend that made this a total five star read for me. Really, it was the combination of all of these things.
Definitely will be reading the next book (and those I missed). This is part of a series, but I had no trouble reading it out of order or as a stand alone.
I loved reading Beckett and Coco’s story. It was so good and can relate to the relationship with his mom. This story was cute, funny, romantic, and steamy all in one and so adorable! I highly recommend this book! Also Posie is the most adorable thing ever and love how they had another baby together and got married in the end! Highly recommend! I also love how Coco is an independent strong mother who raised Posie on her own with no one’s help! And Beckett just had me want to lick my screen and take the entire family home with me! This story is just the cutest!
This was one of those stories that I found totally entertaining, so much so I’ve put it on my To-be-read-again shelf
Loved this book. Could not put it down. Enjoyed Erika Kelly’s writing style.
An emotional heart touching story!
I really enjoyed this beautiful love story between two people who had one night together. Five years later, Coco’s a single mom with a beautiful daughter. She looked but couldn’t find him, so she went ahead and succeeded on her own. She’s a Chocolatier in Calamity Falls where her parents live and a lot of costumed people. Unexpectedly, they meet again in Calamity Falls. I love stories like this. Coco is a beautiful confident mother and business woman. Beckett is handsome and shocked to meet his young daughter. This is an easy fun reading book! Can’t wait to read another book set in Calamity Falls.
I read a LOT of books, and I have several favored authors, so I really enjoy most of the books I read. But this is a new-to-me author, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. Since the synopsis intrigued me, 2nd chance, secret baby tropes are one of my favorites, I figured why not give it a read. Oh, boy, I am so glad I did. You know that book where it grabs your interest from the very beginning? I mean really grabs your interest, to the point you can’t stop reading no matter what’s going on around you. Well, that’s this book! You can literally feel the chemistry between Coco and Beckett. They just click for each other, and Posie … who doesn’t want to be a fairy? She makes this story so heartwarming. There are a lot of feels in this tale, some that will tug hard on your heartstrings, bring tears to your eyes, and a smile to your face. If you haven’t guessed by now, I thoroughly enjoyed this 2nd chance romance. I truly appreciated that the Willow drama was kept to a minimum because I didn’t want anything to interfere with my focus on Coco and Beckett’s story. It’s a truly engaging and captivating romance that I highly recommend everyone read. I’m adding the whole series to my TBR list right now.
I’m a sucker for a single paretn romance, and when I stumble across one, I always add it to my TBR. Can’t Help Falling in Love was recently brought to my attention, and I dropped everything and downloaded it. And I was introduced to a great new-to-me author!
This book begins with Beckett and Coco meeting in Vegas, having a one-night stand that resulted in a child. A few years later, happenstance has them running into each other in Calamity Falls, Wyoming as Beckett is planning his wedding. And that’s when he learns that he has a daughter.
I really enjoyed this book! Erika Kelly wrote some really fun characters; they felt like real people to me, and I really connected with them.
I look forward to reading more by this author, and the other books in this series!
New author and new series for me to devour!
There’s nothing like reading an author for the first time and discovering a neat little series that she’s built. I was a super sucker for Beckett. The guy had really been through a lot in his life and he just kind of wiggled his way into my heart. Yes, I had a soft spot for him. Coco was a unique character that touched me in a special way, too. I love when two people are reunited and find that’s there still an attraction between them. Such was the case between Beckett and Coco. And then there was Posie. I love when kids play a factor in stories and Posie is sure to warm your heart.
Lots of emotions and many highs and lows, Can’t Help Falling in Love is so heart-warming and emotional. I was touched by this story and how realistic it felt. Kelly is an amazing storyteller and the Calamity Falls setting makes this small-town setting a desirable place to be. Loved it and can’t wait to read the previous stories in the collection.
Coco and Beckett were interesting. One night stand that resulted in an adorable little girl that he didn’t know about until 5 years later. Coco was a strong single mom that obviously didn’t need Beckett. Beckett in my opinion had lots of maturing to do and issues from his past to deal with. It wasn’t bad but I found it hard to be completely involved in the story.
I really fell in love with this story. Beckett and Coco were fantastic characters and I enjoyed getting to know them. I loved how Beckett tried so hard to figure out how to fit into their lives the moment he found out about Posey. Not to mention the fact that the chemistry between Coco and Beckett was still as strong as it was even after all that time.
I love everything about this emotional and sexy, second chance story. Erika Kelly writes a story that makes me feel like I’m right there with the two main characters, Becks and Coca. It has realistic character development and also great dynamics between Becks and Coca. It is a slow burn, passionate story with lots of underlying tension.
I found it easy to understand all the turmoil Becks is feeling. Becks has been just drifting through life, afraid to make real connections with people, but doesn’t realize it until he sees Coca again. Becks is protective and caring once he learns to put his guard down. He slowly changes into the man he is meant to be but has to deal with his past, before he can move forward.
Coca is like a breath of fresh air for Becks. She is stable and loving and also funky and independent and doesn’t expect anything from him. She has raised their daughter, Posie on her own and started a successful business through grit and determination.
I not only enjoyed this story, which I found impossible to put down, once I started reading it, but I also loved Becks and Coca. They each have baggage from the past, which they need to work on before they can be together. I wanted them to have the wonderful life they deserved.
This book is awesome! I could not put it down! I absolutely adorable Beckett and Coco. This book’s characters have unique jobs, and you can clearly see their world through the author’s writing. It’s a great entertaining read!
I adored Erika Kelly’s “Can’t Help Falling in Love,” a sweet, heartwarming, and fun story featuring endearing, well-developed characters and an engaging plot. The connection between main characters Coco and Beckett was apparent from the start, and the slow burn of their relationship development kept me on the edge of my seat, just waiting for them to finally give into their feelings. Their little daughter, Posie, was also a highlight of the story. I particularly loved her obsession with fairies and the sweet relationship she and Beckett established as they got to know one another.
I really admired Coco’s bravery, independence, and resilience. It would have been so easy for her to keep Posie a secret from Beckett because of her fear that he would try to fight her for joint custody, but instead, she did what she thought was best for her daughter and invited Beckett to be a part of her life. Beyond that, Coco learned an entirely new career in a different country while preparing to become a single mother, and then came home and started a new business while caring for a newborn at the same time. It was truly amazing how much Coco managed to accomplish on her own, and I loved that Beckett saw how exceptional she was even though her family sometimes overlooked her successes.
Beckett was a great guy and it was clear that he wanted to do the right thing, but his struggle to find a place in Coco and Posie’s life was completely understandable. In addition to overcoming his childhood baggage, which would have been a big hurdle for anyone, there was the fact that his career was based on travel and having new, extreme adventures. I’m sure it was terrifying for him to have to figure out a new plan, especially since that plan affected not just him but also his business partners, Coco, and Posie. It wasn’t easy, but he did manage to find a solution that worked for everyone, and seeing him finally have a chance to put down roots with his family was lovely.
Overall, I highly recommend “Can’t Help Falling in Love” for all fans of contemporary romance. I will definitely be reading the rest of the books in this series as soon as I find the time!

Can’t Help Falling in Love is the first book by Erika Kelly that is have read and I have to say, I really enjoyed her characters and their story. This story has heartwarming moments and some heartbreaking ones too, but it is also a beautiful story of hope and second chances.
One night changed everything for these two strangers and six years later when Coco and Beckett’s lives collide again they have a chance to see if the chemistry that drove them together before was just as sizzling hot now.
I loved Coco! She is passionate, fiercely independent and determined to build a life for her and her daughter, Posie.
Beckett is a free spirit, has traveled the world but I loved that he was willing to put that all on hold when his life was turned upside down with the knowledge that he has a daughter. Posie is sweet, a bit sassy and she easily warmed her way into his heart just like she will do to you when you read this book.
I love a good second chance romance and I highly recommend that you read this one! You will not be disappointed!
