The more you resist, the deeper you’ll fall Serafine St. Romain doesn’t need her psychic powers to know she’s no longer in Tyler Leshuski’s good graces. True, she did tear him to pieces when he asked her out, accusing him of being shallow and selfish. Despite the energy crackling between them, the gorgeous sports writer is a no-strings, no-kids kind of guy. And Serafine, raised in the foster … raised in the foster system, intends to be a foster parent herself. She won’t compromise that dream, even for a man as annoyingly appealing as Tyler.
In a simpler world, Tyler would already have gotten Serafine out of his system. For him, women equal fun. Not this kind of bone-deep, disconcerting desire. Life gets even more complicated when he becomes the guardian of his much younger sister. Suddenly, he’s way out of his depth. Serafine’s the only person who can connect with Kylie. He can’t jeopardize that for a fling.
But maybe…just maybe…he’s finally ready to risk everything on forever.

I listened to the audio book. I liked the narration with the different accents.
I thought Serafina was unnecessarily cruel at the beginning of the book. I couldn’t understand why she judged Ty so harshly. I didn’t see how they could come back from that.
I liked the way Ty was with his sister, especially considering the age gap. I appreciated the way not only Ty and Serafina evolved individually, but how they became friends before they became a couple.
I enjoyed this book much more than I did book 1 with Seb and Via.
Can’t Help Falling is the second book in the Forever Yours series and picks up with Sebastian and Via’s besties story, Tyler and Serafina. I did not like this one as much as book one but it was still enjoyable!!
Tyler is a 40-something sports writer who unexpectedly gets custody of his 14-year-old sister, Kylie, after her mother abandons her. Serafina is a psychic who is used to people not believing in her magic and men hitting on her. When Tyler asks her out, Fin lets him have it, calling him selfish and not a grown up. Now Tyler needs help parenting Kylie and Fin wants to be apart of Kylie’s life, so they work together.
I really liked how Fin’s psychic ability was handled, it wasn’t hokey or cheesy, there was actual feelings behind it. I enjoyed seeing Tyler grow – from the sports bachelor to supportive parental figure. They had some serious chemistry and while it was a slow burn to get to it, when they did it was hot.
I listened to this book and the narrator was not the same as the first book. I really loved how the first narrator did Fin’s New Orleans accent, this one not so much, it was a bit too hookey for me. I feel like Fin wanting to foster was a huge part of her storyline and it wasn’t really brought up in her relationship with Tyler until the end of the book.
After reading the first book in the ‘Forever Yours’ series I was really looking forward to Fin’s story and ‘Can’t Help Falling’ truly exceeded all of my expectations.
Honestly, I was not sure how Tyler and Fin could recover from the complete trashing of Tyler’s character by Fin in the very first chapter, in fact I even considered marking this book as DNF.
I am glad I kept reading because I absolutely adored Tyler and Fin’s story; I was smiling like a dope throughout the entire book. I never thought I would be swooning over socks, but here I am.
The dynamic between Tyler and Fin and Kylie, and Fin and Kylie, and Tyler and Kylie was fantastic; all three were a bit broken, but together they became a family.
Truly a perfect 5 star read – with no unnecessary drama (which is an absolute plus in my book and makes sense as the main characters were mature adults capable of communicating) – that I will likely revisit often.
I cannot wait to read Mary’s story next.
This is a beautifully written story about Tyler and Serafine. Tyler has a thing for Serafine, but once she hears him say he doesn’t want kids,, he’s no longer an option for her. She’s been trying to become a foster mother, but her applications have all been rejected. Will Serafine ever get to be a mother? Will Tyler ever win her over? No spoilers, so grab your copy and see what happens in this wonderful story.
I received an advanced reader copy of this book from NetGalley and this is my voluntary and honest review.
I’ll call this one a 50/50 split decision. I thought the basic storyline had plenty of potential and I could really get behind the enemies-to-lovers, single dad-ish and age gap tropes. I found the male lead character, Tyler likable enough if a bit typical. I did enjoy watching him struggle the situation, his confusion about his emotions and the changes he went through because of it all. My feelings about the female main character were much more complicated. While I could admire her feelings about family and her fierce determination to be a foster parent, I also felt she was quite unlikable with her hash judgements and mulish opinions. This is my independent, impartial review.
