I’m the fun guy.
The one always quick with a joke.
The guy who is crazy enough to do wild things to make people smile.
That’s how people see me.
That’s who I’ve presented myself to be.
That’s how I introduced myself to Rivet.
The first female Cerberus team member wasn’t impressed with my corny pickup lines and wide smile like the other women I use it on.
And why should she be?
She’s seen … pickup lines and wide smile like the other women I use it on.
And why should she be?
She’s seen it all and lived to tell the tale.
She took one look at me and decided she wasn’t interested.
I should move on, but her rejection stings.
I can’t seem to let it go.
I can’t get her out of my head.
I also can’t figure out if it’s the chase I crave, or if this woman is someone special I’ve been missing in my life.
So that really only leaves one thing…
Do I show her the real me?

Another great book by Marie James.
Cannon shows he has grown up and showing how much.
Rivet is just what Cannon needs in his life.
I received a free copy of this book from the author and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Cannon: Cerberus MC Book 12 by Marie James.
This has become one of my favorite MC series. I love Marie and the ways that her storylines just flow. She pulls you in and you never want to put the book down until the very last page.
The chemistry and back and forth between Cannon and Rivet is one for the books…. she kept him on his toes and was not one to fall for his ridiculous lines.
I can not wait to see what is in store for us next when it comes to Cerberus.
I got this book in exchange for my honest opinion. Although I havent read the others in this series all i can say is holy hot. Cannon is a guy that can get any women that he wants, but that was until he met Rivet. He wants her but she rejected in him at all.. Rivet is a strong independent women, she spent four yrs in the Marine Corps and wasn’t impressed with the likes of Cannon.
If u want more u will need to go and on click it along with the others on this series.. Marie it was so good..
Loved the fact that she is the bad ass and cannon was loving all of it ! Was cool that they were both mature about what was happening between them and how they both respected each others lives past and present ! HOT FUN SEXY !
I love this series and have found over the books that I like the way the author writes the alpha men and how she creates such strong characters and romantic/steamy scenes. In this story I LOVED the characters. The author did an amazing job of creating these unique and different people. Cannon was alpha, a bit dark and interesting, strong and caring. I really enjoyed getting to know him more and that balance between his darkness/need for control and how he loves was great to read about. Now, Rivet? Oh my we finally get a female MC member who can hold her own to the men. I love, LOVE her character. She is strong and opinionated, and sweet. I loved her passion and sass. However, I was not completely sold on the development of the romantic relationship between Cannon and Rivet. I think I needed more interactions or more dialogue, or even more in depth development of the characters background so I could better see (feel?) that they belong together. I received an ARC and am leaving an honest review. 3.75 stars.
I loved this book
Marie James has delivered another winner. Rivet and Cannon’s story was everything. Cannon’s pickup lines and tee-shirts had me smiling. Loved how we saw his serious side and his dedication to Rivet. Cerberus’ first female member intrigued me from the start with both her strength and her vulnerability.
And that ending…can’t wait for Rocker’s story.
Its no secret that im a huge fan of this series and the Cerberus MC. I have loved each and every members story as Marie James never fails to give me a tale I will absolutely love and characters that embed themselves in my heart. Now Marie James is giving us the first ever female Cerberus member and I am so excited!!
I have loved Cannon from previous books. He’s original member Shadow’s son and he has always been the cheeky one, the one that doesn’t take things too seriously, now life is changing though and he is starting to look at things differently. With all his friends and family settling down he is starting to rethink his life and plans when along comes the newest Cerberus member Rivet!!
Can I just say how much I loved his t-shirts <3
I loved Rivet, this girl was sassy and full of kick ass. I loved that she fit in with the guys and fit straight in. The fact that she practically knocked Cannon on his a**e the first time she met him when he used one of his cheesy lines made me love her even more.
The push/pull between these two was seriously hot! the connection was instant even if Rivet didn't want to admit it at first.
Marie James has brought her trademark witt mixed with emotions and steam to this one.
Cannon’s story is one of a young man who is known to be the life of the party, a young man who comes into his own after being rejected by Rivet, a woman who he’s attracted to from the moment he sees her. He’s a young man that is headed to his last year of college and can’t wait to get away from the small town he grew up in. Yet his love for his family and the Cerberus MC tugs on his heart. Cannon’s wickedly humorous banter and hilarious t-shirts is what madmkes this story even more enjoyable
Cannon, with his crazy pick up lines, meets his match.
love the chemistry and characters development, as their relationship develops.
Sexual tension, humor, suspense, and MC grit..
…loving this series, excited for more.
I will be honest and say it was hard for me to read, especially after I found out it is part of series. Once I find out any book is not a stand alone, I have trouble reading because I know I’m missing something! However, the story seems intriguing enough, and I will go back to the beginning.
Loved Cannon & Rivet
Cannon was the jokester around the Cerberus men and I wasn’t sure what were worse his pickup lines or the shirts he wore with various sayings. (Some were pretty funny) Then again Cannon was a junior in college and didn’t act any different than most guys at college. This was all working for him plus it didn’t hurt he had the looks and muscles to back it all up. While on a break from college he was back home at the clubhouse when he met the first woman Cerberus patched in so when he tried his shtick on her, he ended up being tossed to the floor by Rivet. Like all the men with Cerberus she was an ex-marine who knew how to hold her own and was trying to prove it to the men there.
When Cannon seen this was going nowhere fast he decided that maybe he needed to forget about Rivet and head back to finish his junior year. This time when he returned to the clubhouse he was looking for a change and picked up a side job as a bartender the MC liked to go to especially after returning from their missions. Since Cannon’s dad was Rivet’s boss she didn’t want anyone to think that she was laying on her back to make it to the top in the MC so she tried to steer clear of him…until that one night. She was the one who went to Cannon’s room.
I loved the push/pull from these two, the chemistry was intense and the way they worked through these things had me turning pages as fast as I could. Rivet could hold her own within the organization and even though Cannon took on that dominant side in the bedroom Rivet was not some push over. All I can say is that I love the Cerberus MC series and can’t wait to see what comes next!!
For the last several Cerberus stories, we see Cannon as a playboy…just out to get a little something something…and yes…he gets it. But here in his story, we soon find out…there seems to be much more to this playboy than we know and oh how the mighty fall and make you smile ear to ear. Rivet is one of a kind. The first woman Cerberus member, she is fighting an uphill battle to prove herself in a man’s world, but it’s not the first time she’s had to overcome the odds and she will prove that she can be counted on to have their back. BUT, will her feelings for Cannon be her downfall? There is some very nice heat and some great banter and I loved every minute of it.
Brand new author for me, Marie James, has built a tough brotherhood in the Cerberus MC. Former military (mostly Maries) who do those jobs that need doing to protect the innocent. Cannon is the latest installment and is about the son, Cannon, of the founder. His story is a bit different in that Cannon is not technically part of the MC. He’s a college student and pursuing his chosen path, which is not part of the MC.
Rivet, a female Marine, is the first female to be hired by Cerberus. She’s been down the road of men making assumptions and downplaying her abilities simply because she is a woman. She’s hypervigilant and very guarded about how she is perceived and makes sure no one can accuse her of not pulling her weight. So it no surprise when the goofy, happy-go-lucky Cannon makes a pass it is quickly rebuffed. Cannon needs to work to change the perception that Rivet has regarding him if he wants her to pay attention to him at all. Cannon and Rivet work to lower their masks they wear for everyone else so they can see each other.
What people don’t realize is there is more to Cannon than meets the eye, and we discover as we read the book that it’s merely time for Cannon to grow up. Things are changing in the Cerberus MC family and his own family. We get to observe as Cannon’s family learn to see him as more the adult he is becoming rather than the teenager he was. And Cannon is more than ready for this to happen so he can work on his relationship with Rivet.
I must say, although I enjoyed this book, it was hard coming into this series at book 12. There are a whole lot of complex dynamics and stories that have happened in previous books in the series we know nothing about, and somewhat vague references are not sufficient. Reading the series in order would be most beneficial for this series. I would not mind going back and reading all the stories; however, I did enjoy Cannon and my introduction to Marie James.
I absolutely love Cannon and his cheesy/corny pick up lines!! But this story just shows there is so much more to him than meets the eye. To my surprise Rivet succumbs to his cheesy pick up lines. Rivet has a lot to prove being the first female Cerberus member and she wants all of the guys to take her seriously. Can Cannon put his jokester personality aside to snag Rivet? Will rivet lose respect of the men of Cerberus by hooking up with one of the men’s son in Cannon?
Love watching the Cerberus kids grow up.
Cannon is a jokester, but now that he is older it’s hard to get people to take him seriously. Rivet is a great addition to the Cerberus crew. But, she tends to take herself and things too seriously. As a couple they compliment one another perfectly.
Really enjoyed reading their story. Can’t wait for the next one.
Cannon is the twelfth title in the Cerberus MC series, and whilst Rivet is much like her predecessors in the fact that this characters is strong cable, heroic, and a former marine. Rivet is also the only female member of Cerberus. She’s driven, resilient and not afraid to speak her mind.
Cannon is the son of one of the original Cerberus members. He’s intelligent, fun, and flirtatious. Cannon has an air of irreverence, but it’s more a case of still waters run deep. Despite his ability to appear as the life of the party, a joker with a corny pick up line for every occasion, he’s quite purposeful in his actions.
This pair complement each other beautifully. Their relationship has quite a few ups and downs but underneath it all is an undeniable chemistry.
If you enjoy a title with equal parts suspense, humor, action and a touch of drama Cannon might just be for you. It’s an emotional, passionate and sexy romance and I was engaged from start to finish.
I do highly recommend reading the titles in this series in order or there will be spoilers.
We finally get to read the story of the master of corny pickup lines, Cannon.
I have been waiting to see who would actually fall for those cheesy one-liners. And imagine my surprise when we are introduced to Rivet.
Rivet has a lot to prove as the first female member of Cerberus. She needs the guys to see her as an equal and hooking up with a member’s son is never the best way to go about it.
Can Cannon put aside the joking manner long enough for Rivet to see that he is just the man she needs? Can Rivet hold onto her place among the men of Cerberus while also finding her place with Cannon?
This story was the perfect addition to the Cerberus series!
Cannon is the 12th book in the Cerberus MC series and one that will have you on the edge of your seat. Cannon is known to be the jokester, the fun guy, the person who doesn’t take anything serious. However, looks can be deceiving and Rivet might just be the woman who can peel back the layers to see the real “Cannon”. You will feel the push and pull between these two as professionalism and trying not to cross a line comes into play. The chemistry and connection will ignite off the pages between Cannon and Rivet and the passion and steam will heat up your skin. As these two struggle with control and power it will be their hearts that win the fight in the end. Their story is gripping, filled with witty banter, sexy and consuming. Taking another ride with Cerberus never gets old.
This is the 12th book in this awesome series and is Cannon and Rivet’s story. Cannon is the jokester of the group with his cheesy pick up lines and funny t-shirts. Rivet is strong and feisty and is more than capable in handling Cannon which makes them perfect together. This is a beautifully written story which is filled with drama, emotion, witty banter, which all leads to a humorous, steamy and all-round entertaining read. I was totally captivated throughout this addictive page turner, and I highly recommend this gifted authors’ work for all MC lovers.
