I’m the fun guy.
The one always quick with a joke.
The guy who is crazy enough to do wild things to make people smile.
That’s how people see me.
That’s who I’ve presented myself to be.
That’s how I introduced myself to Rivet.
The first female Cerberus team member wasn’t impressed with my corny pickup lines and wide smile like the other women I use it on.
And why should she be?
She’s seen … pickup lines and wide smile like the other women I use it on.
And why should she be?
She’s seen it all and lived to tell the tale.
She took one look at me and decided she wasn’t interested.
I should move on, but her rejection stings.
I can’t seem to let it go.
I can’t get her out of my head.
I also can’t figure out if it’s the chase I crave, or if this woman is someone special I’ve been missing in my life.
So that really only leaves one thing…
Do I show her the real me?

Fun read, I can say these two have a lot of fun bickering back and forth. Cannon is in his own league, his quirky, nerdy pick up lines are hilariously funny but what can a manchild do when he met his match? Grow up! Which he did, I don’t think he would’ve been serious about Rivet but Cannon surprised me, well done
Ok so I loved Cannon, but I’m not big on Rivet. I just didn’t like her character or a female joining Cerberus. This was an amazing read though. I love all of Marie’s books so go grab this new one!
Gawd….. this book was definitely unexpected, but in a good way. The only thing we ever knew about Cannon is was he always had the craziest pick up lines. He was the life of the party and no one took him seriously. So when we get to get into his mind it’s not what we expected. He is definitely not what I expected. And I didn’t see him with a women like Rivet. That being said once you finish this book they seem like the perfect couple.
I think if you have read any of the Cerberus MC books I don’t have to tell you that this book is highly recommended. But if Cerberus MC is new to you I will say start from the beginning and you won’t be disappointed
A fun, witty, charming and highly entertaining journey to go on with Cannon and Rivet. Who would have thought the fun loving, cheesy line playboy would fall as hard as he did? I absolutely adored everything about this story. Can’t wait to see what comes next.
Wow, what a story. I knew it was going to be a funny one with Cannon with his pick up lines. I couldn’t put it down once started.
I loved Cannon and Rivet together, they may of started out on the wrong foot. But you knew they both liked each other. They balanced each other out. And loved how Cannon could be his self with her.
Marie James did amazing job on this book.
I can’t wait to see what happens next in Cerebus.
I have to say this one was interesting. Cannon the bosses son, the guy with the biggest jokes, the one with the best pick up lines. Doesn’t have the right words to hook the girl. I absolutely loved these two from beginning to end. Rivet and Cannon were quite the pair. Rivet is the first girl in the Cerberus MC. The first girl to go on missions with them. The first girl to be treated like one of them. But she doesn’t know how to take it. Then Cannon hits on her right from the beginning. She doesn’t want anything to do with him. But he slowly breaks her down. But will things work out between these two? Will Cannon become a man and show Rivet that he is different? Will Rivet prove herself and see that Cannon is the guy for her and that things can work out between them? Marie did an amazing job with this couple. It was interesting and intense from beginning to end. I absolutely loved how she was the first woman and Marie wrote her story amazingly. These books just keep getting better and better.
Rivet has worked her butt off to get where she is at today and takes life seriously. She serviced four years in the Marines and now a part of the Cerberus MC team. She takes no crap from anyone, especially men. She wants to be treated as an equal and with respect. Cannon is Rivet’s boss son. She knows he is off limits. Cannon is laid back and still has a couple of years left in college. He is a joker and uses pickup lines that Rivet has no clue how women fall for them. Don’t get her started on his t-shirts with all the crazy says. Cannon decides to make a play for Rivet however, the trick is on him because she puts Cannon in his place. After their first encounter, Rivet has Cannon on the ground like no tomorrow. Will Cannon break down Rivet tough exterior and show her he is the man for her? Will Rivet realize it’s okay to have a man in her life to depend on and not have to be independent all the time? Another great read in the Cerberus MC series. I volunteer to read ARC for an honest review.
Cannon has always been a playboy. Quick whitted and always joking, he’s the life of the party. When the newest member of a Cerberus shows up, Cannon is mesmerized by her and decides he needs to win her over. Only she is far from impressed with his pick up lines.
Rivet has seen a lot in her four year military career. Now she feels honored to be a part of Cerberus, considering they find you, not the other way around. When Cannon approaches her, she puts him in his place and quick. When he leaves for college, she can focus on work and build her rep in the club.
Cannon finds his thoughts returning to Rivet time and time again. He can’t figure out if it’s because she rejected him, or if it’s something more. Eventually he gets his chance to find out when she shows up in his room. Both fight for power and it’s definitely a struggle to see who will come out on top so to speak. Will this ruin Rivet’s chance with the club, or could there possibly be more between her and Cannon? Don’t wait to find out…one click now and enjoy the ride!

Like his name, Cannon packs a punch…
Cocky, fun-loving, and driven describes the hero of this installment of the Cerberus MC. With a wit as quick as his smile, many don’t take Cannon seriously. Rivet has worked hard for years to insure everyone does. Put them together and what do you get? Heat. Chemistry. Fire. These two seem to be opposites on the surface, but deep down, they are everything the other needs.
Another fan-freaking-tastic installment of one of my favorite series, Marie James kills it with Cannon. These characters were multi-layered and incredible. And the chemistry between them was smokin’! I almost think they just keep getting better….but then I remember the previous books and don’t know if it’s possible. This woman is consistently incredible, and I wait with bated breath for the next!

In the 12th book of the Cerberus MC Club series, we meet the gang who we have come to love (and sometimes want to slap)
Ever met that college guy who jokes and wears the shirt with a real eye-rolling and cringe-worthy slogan on the front of his shirt? The sexy one with the silly pickup lines and that feels like committing to one woman for the rest of his life isn’t for him? That is the textbook description of who Cannon is. He’s cocky and funny and he is pretty confident that he can get any woman he wants. Then there’s Rivet, she’s the newest edition to the Cerberus MC Club and not at all what you’d expect.
After a very embarrassing first meeting between Cannon and Rivet which ends with Cannon flat on his butt in front of all his friends, he is sure to not cross the blonde Marine again. Or so he thinks.
Rivet is eager and honored to be the first female member of the club but doesn’t take lightly to being takes for a fool, much less an easy fool by the shaggy blonde guy who does not in any way reflect a history with the Marines.
Months later and after an eventful night on Rivet’s part, things start changing.
Cannon used to think that he would never be the settle down type or the relationship type, at least not more than a few repeated nights, but here he is, realizing this woman is far more than meets the eye.
Should he reveal who he is or remain behind his joking persona?
I fall asleep with her taste on my lips and a million possibilities on my mind.
Their story deserves five-ass-kicking-stars!
Cannon is the first in the Cerberus MC series that I have read, and discovered I really need to read the others in the series soon. I loved reading and following Cannon and River’s story. No matter how many times she shoots him down he keeps coming back for more, till he shows her who he really is. I will be definitely going to be checking out the others books in this series.
I like that Cannon isn’t what he appears to be but Rivet was a little less deep than I was expecting. They were certainly hot together though!! I really can’t wait for Rocker’s book now after that ending!!
I’ve wondered when Cannon would meet his match and Rivet definitely lives up to the expectation. I was a little disappointed we didn’t get much of the real Cerberus action in this book, but that didn’t detract from my enjoyment of the book.
Cannon is definitely one of my favorites of the younger generation. I am not surprised that he’d be a serious, filthy talker in bed even though he doesn’t seem that way to his friends!! Definitely appreciated “watching” him grow into himself in this book!
Can’t wait to see what happens with Rocker and I hope we see more of Bishop in the future.
This was a very enjoyable MC read from Marie James following the kids of the original MC books she wrote. Cannon was a very fun, joking lovable character. His interest in Rivet was immediate and it was a great ride seeing him mentally grow and turn into the perfect alpha hero I love to read about. Their story line was easy to follow, had a great flow and of course there may have been a little heat built in as well
This was a sexy, entertaining, opposites attract, MC romance.
Cannon is a cocky young guy with a sexy smile, loves to joke around, wears hilarious and inappropriate t-shirts (my favorite), who excels in corny pickup lines and doesn’t back down from a challenge. He has never met a woman he can’t charm. He’s never been one for serious relationships but when he sees Rivet, challenge accepted. He doesn’t know who he’s up against, but Rivet is not the average woman. She is a former Marine and has come to join the Cerebrus MC. She is a badass. She is no nonsense. She’s had to prove herself her entire life, and she isn’t going to let some young, cocky hotshot get in her way. She is just the woman to put Cannon in his place. But as time passes and Cannon goes away for classes, she is relieved and life goes on. When Cannon returns for the summer, he looks better than she remembers. Can Rivet continue to resist his charms?
This isn’t your typical MC romance but a very good read nonetheless. It was entertaining, funny, and super steamy. I loved the push and pull between Cannon and Rivet. Especially in the bedroom. They had great chemistry. There was more to both of them than meets the eye. It was fun and interesting seeing them peel back each other’s layers. The plot was good. It was a quick read but very enjoyable with a HEA.

4.5 stars
This story was a really enjoyable read. I was hooked from the start of this older woman, younger man romance and I really loved the characters within the pages. Even though Rivet isn’t that much older than Cannon, I still loved the aspect of this trope.
Cannon is such a joker and I laughed out loud a few times when his shirts were revealed. He was the life of the party, but deep down he is just the sweet man he was raised to be. I loved that about him. Rivet is such a strong heroine. She is so serious and I think Cannon is exactly what she needed. These two have the type of chemistry that burns your kindle pages!
There is only one thing that stood in the way of this being a full 5 star read but it’s nothing major. It just my personal cravings I want from a romance book. I definitely recommend anything this author writes! I can’t wait for more from this world. I am excited to get in to the next book, I think it’s going to be a wild ride! I am so ready.
Rivet is trying to prove herself in the man run world of Cerberus , she is also trying to navigate the world of the closeness of them .cannon is Shadows son and always has a pick up line he is drawn to River and shows her the real him, they keep their relationship a secret at first.
Their chemistry is off the charts the storyline is so freaking good and I know you will love this as much as I did.
Cannon had my laughing out loud, I loved his t-shirts and pick up lines. I thought it was interesting concept of a woman joining Cerebus MC, not that Rivet couldn’t take care of herself. This girl is totally bad a$$! But these men are very protective and growly. I liked how Rivet put Cannon in his place, but was chuckling at his antics when alone. Not that deterred Cannon in the least, from his pursuit. This is one of my favorite series to read.
I loved Cannon and Rivet. Will they? Won’t they? The banter these two have is funny as heck. Rivet tough marine chick and Cannon college frat boy. They keep you guessing will they ever get together or not. Loved it. Hot, funny engaging page turner
Cannon and Rivet, what a pair! I loved this story since the female lead is a new recruit to the Cerebus organization. Cannon is the youngest son of Shadow, so as you would suspect, prior main characters are featured in this story.
Even though Cannon appears to be a young man with no responsibility other than completing college, his outlook changes once he meets Rivet a former Marine.
I loved how their story evolved.
As always, Ms. James writing style keeps the reader entertained.
