Joel and Jethro. Roommates. Total hunks. Inseparable friends. Hot as hell.
Meet my fantasy boyfriends. Aren’t they just the sexiest, cutest thing? I know, right? They totally are. They are hot, too hot for a quiet—and obsessed with them—girl working in a bookshop.
That’d be me, by the way.
There’s also the tiny problem of Joel wanting another girl. And as for Jethro, well… he doesn’t do girls. … well… he doesn’t do girls. Or maybe he doesn’t do relationships. He certainly doesn’t do boys, so he isn’t doing his best and very male friend… right? Much less his male friend and me at the same time.
So it’s fine to crush on them. And write a serial story on my blog in which we have tantric sex in every possible position.
All three of us. Together. Touching, and licking, and sucking, and screwing.
Whew.
I mean, it’s okay. It’s perfectly safe. They’ll never even know I exist, much less find out about my blog and my secret fantasy about them.
Right?
…Yeah, that’s what I thought, too.
Warning: This book contains two super-hot boys and a nerdy, funny girl who has the hots for them. It includes boy on boy fun, and girl on boy, and boy on girl, and girl on boy on boy, and, well, you get the picture.
Warning 2: This book may set you on fire. Handle with caution.
Warning 3: This book is funny, and dark, and angsty. It is NOT a love triangle. It is a relationship between three people with a happy ending.

Everything about this book was so amazing! As a reader/blogger I love that the main character is a blogger who is know for her writing, even more that her writing becomes her reality. Doesn’t everyone want that in life??? Candy totally had the ideal life and it was so much fun to read!!! This book was deep, complex, fun, hot and super sexy!
I love Candy so much, she’s so strong and smart and not afraid of anything. And then Joel and Jethro (which I love all of the names) come into the picture. They are so different and it’s really neat to see them unfold as friends and how the three of them come together.
I cannot wait for more from Jo!
Candy Boys: A Standalone Romantic Comedy Ménage is book number one in the Hot Candy series. This is Jet, Joel, and Candy’s story.
This book took me out of my comfort zone. But the author delivered the story in such a way that grabbed me. I was able to feel the emotions of the characters.
This story delivers some funny moments, emotional struggles, and hot graphic intimate scenes.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. I also went back and reviewed this book through my Kindle Unlimited account.
I read this book a couple of years back. Rereading it made me realize how much I enjoyed it. Jet, Joel, and Candy embark on a sinfully sensual and highly entertaining journey. I loved it!
This is one of my all-time favorite romances. The three love interests complement each other so well. The storyline between the best friends/roommates especially hits me in the feels Every. Damn. Time. I love this book!
Let me tell you about Candy Boys… I loved it! Candy is a student and works in a book shop. She fantasizes about having Joel and Jet as boyfriends and writes these fantasies in a very popular blog she has created. But she is caught off guard when she meets J One and J Two and certainly doesn’t believe her luck when her fantasies become a reality.
This book is not only funny and sexy, it has lots of angst and suspense. With two heroes that are apparently happy but in reality come from troubled pasts and are struggling with sexuality issues, depression and psychological trauma
Hilarious, hot, sexy
Characterization is always one of the most important parts of a story for me, and I’m always most impressed with a romance when it contains characters I just can’t get out of my head, even long after I’ve finished the book. The three leads in Jo Raven’s ‘Candy Boys’ did just that, and are definitely some of my favourite romance characters of all time. They’re hilarious, unique, well developed, and pretty much just awesome all around.Candy especially was so quirky and enjoyable as the heroine of the story. It was refreshing to read about a girl living a life I could relate to, and her commentary honesty had me laughing out loud several times. Joel and Jethro were no less entertaining, and I definitely wasn’t ready to say goodbye once I got to the last page. (Thankfully there’s a sequel!)
Another thing that stood out for me was the believable chemistry between the three of them, and the way in which the ups and downs of their developing relationship caused them to change and grow as individuals. The worries and doubt they each faced were well portrayed, and made it all the more satisfying when they were able to overcome them. While their was a lot of hilarity and comic relief involved, the story also contained a strong emotional depth that was impressive and poignant to read about.
Add in some very (VERY) sexy times, and you’ve got yourself a romantic comedy that will leave you wishing you had some candy boys of your own!
Audiobook version:
Wow! I loved every second of this book! Let me start by saying it was soo well written. I could not help but fall in love with the characters. The plot sucked me in from the very beginning. Joel’s struggles really endeared him to me in a way that I couldn’t have anticipated. This book stood out to me and claimed a top spot. It was hotter than I can even express, it was emotional, it was fun. It was a fantastic read.
The narration was unbelievable. Ava, Sebastian or Joe alone is a wonderful experience. All three together was an absolute wonder. Every single one of them brought their A game and gave us an experience like none other.
Hands down one of my favorite books this year!

Amazing! 5 Super Sexy, I’m so damn jealous Stars!!!
And a Hell Yeah goes out to my girl Jo Raven!
I don’t know how to put into words how excited I get when Jo releases a book. I really don’t! And her latest, “Candy Boys” was absolutely amazing! I chewed off four finger nails reading this one. Hot damn!! I have never been disappointed in one of her books, ever!
“Candy Boys” is a spin off from “Micah” her Damage Control series. If you haven’t read those, or anything else by Jo, you are seriously missing out. Let me say it now to all my friends….you must put this on your TBR and read it ASAP. I promise you won’t be disappointed! So as I started to say, this book features a MMF. Joel, Jethro (Jet) and Candy. The Blurb says a lot so I won’t repeat any of that.
Joel…Oh sweet, sexy Joel! He was beautiful. Inside and out. Loyal and caring, selfless and considerate. He put his own issues aside to be there for his friends. Joel appeared one way to people but he was so more more than the hot, sexy man all the girls lusted after. He was a beautiful and complex character. And Joe did a perfect job of developing his character. Not only was I in love, I was so proud of him. God, why can’t these men be real!?
Jet….He was even more complex than Joel but no less in personality or looks. This man would do anything for you should you be lucky enough for him to call you “friend.” Yeah, I’d like to call him more. 🙂 Jet had issues as well as Joel, however his were darker. Sorry I want to, but I can’t say more. This is one story that the slightest spoiler will ruin it for you. Trust me on this!
Candy…What a funny, funny girl. She was well developed but not as complex. She was the light to the dark. I laughed aloud many times because of her. Some of the things she said were damn funny. And her mom…don’t even let me go there! There were many funny moments (as well as heartbreaking) in this book. Candy, as you know from the Blurb has lusted after Joel and Jet for years and never thought she would ever meet them. And if she believed she would ever be lucky enough to actually come face to face with them; you can be sure she never expected that they would want her too. And when they were together, nothing was like she thought. Not in her wildest fantasies could she have imagined the real Joel and Jet.
Although there were many things to laugh about, there was a suspense in the background that kept me on my toes. There were parts of this story that were lighthearted and fun but there were some sad and dark ones too. Jo Raven did a spectacular job with balancing all the many emotions floating around. Jo’s writing is something that has appealed to me from her first novel. And I have read them all, with several re-reads. She always brings out all the “feels” in me. Her stories are not popcorn and bubblegum. They are tense, emotional, exciting, and sexy with the perfect amount of angst. Her novels all have HEAs. And I can assure you with those HEAs come relief and complete satisfaction for me as a reader.
So I will repeat myself, please do yourself a favor and add this book. I promise if your are not a fan of Jo’s, you soon will be.
Two more book boyfriends to add to my list!!
I have read Jo Raven’s other books and she’s become one of my favourite authors. I loved the story from beginning until end; I couldn’t put it down! It was a HOT, entertaining and very sexy book 🙂 I really enjoyed reading it. Loved the chemistry between Candy and the boys J & J. The banter and the romance; but also the heartfelt scenes that just makes your heartbeat going.
This one is really one of my favourites of 2016 so far! Definitely worth the read and even better if you’re into M/M and M/M/F; worth all of the stars I could give this book…
If all good fantasies were real I think we would all be in heaven. OMG wow… I’m seriously loving the fact that Candy was the “nerdy girl” and that the jock and his handsome roommate fell hard for her. J-one and J-two? Who wouldn’t love them? What more is there to say? There was a lot of sexually scenes in this book but I loved that it had a great story line to go with it. The whole story just flowed. I loved the interaction between all 3 main characters. If I’m being honest though, the one thing I would have loved to see if if Joel could completely get over his “issue”. Maybe a scene with just him and Candy. I would definitely love to see more stories like this from this author. I have become a new fan.
