Noelle Wentworth doesn’t mind getting away from St. Augustine to fill in at her ailing aunt’s candle shop. A few weeks in Snowing Rock will help her get past the humiliating memory lapse that ruined an important piano concert—and, ultimately, her marriage to her overbearing duet partner. She’s mentally rehearsing for her comeback performance when the bus she’s riding in slides off an icy mountain … an icy mountain road.
And one deep, calming voice emerges from the confusion to slow her racing heart—right before his ruggedly handsome face kicks it back into allegro.
Gabe Waters is usually prepared for anything—as a professional stuntman, his life depends on it—but nothing prepared him for Noelle, the unattainable high school crush whose bravery saved him from more than just a bully’s flying fist. There’s no hint she recognizes him, but Gabe knows that face, those eyes…and he sees something that wasn’t there before. Distrust and apprehension.
Their unexpected attraction kindles something as warm and sweet as a holiday candle. But the weight of their pasts could turn the promise of love to ashes.

Candleglow and Mistletoe by Josie Riviera
Noelle is traveling to Snowy Rock and going to tend to her aunt’s candle store.
After the crash she gets help from Gabe, a local and she’s terriried of the icy roads.
She had also met a little girl and her mother-who had gotten injured….
What I like from the start are the music she plays-sounds so comforting and soothing as do the candle scents.
Like hearing all the tips on the candle making process and why it burns when wax gets too low.
Like Gabe’s career and learning about it. She is able to find another piano to play because she’s aunts is broken.
She opens up about her past and marriage…
There are other conflicts as he’s taken Lucille out for Thanksgiving dinner and she’s the owner of the other candle shop in town. Love hearing of the scenes and activities they do, so precious.
Love that Holly has come to set the record straight about Gabe…and that she had gotten through the performance with her ex.
Author bio and excerpt from A Snowy White Christmas is included. Other works by the author are highlighted at the end.
Received this review copy from the author and this is my honest opinion.
I loved this story. This is a sweet and wonderful and just all around really good story. The hero is close to the most perfect hero I think I have ever read. I also love the heroine and she really needed this hero to help her find that you can be happy with all the right elements right in place.
She just can’t see reasoning as she is a focused pianist who is trying to get ready for her re entry onto the stage after a memory lapse at her last concert.
This story is one you will want to read from beginning to end as you just can’t put it down because you can’t wait to see what is next.
I highly recommend this story and I guarantee you will love it if you are a true romance reader.
Noelle has many trust issues because of her past. Gabe is reluctant to let people know about his diabetes because he sees it as a weakness. Good story with a HEA.
I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
A wonderfully well written small town second chance romance. The characters were interesting and relateable. This sweet romantic story was entertaining and an excellent short story about vulnerability and strength with learning to trust again. It included twists and turns along with some mystery as fears and obstacles were overcome to realize they were made for each other. A perfect holiday romance as Noelle wants to prove to the word she is an excellent pianist after a disasterous performance and frighteninghealth scare. Trying to recover from her depression of a horrible performance and a broken marriage, she goes back to Snowing Rock to help her Aunt in her candle store while she recovers from her hip surgery. On the way she is in an accident that Gabe a local who has loved Noelle since high school helps from the icy roads. A wonderful sweet journey as Gabe helps her regain confidence and learns to trust again to their HEA. The narration by Liz Beachel was amazing as you could really feel the emotions and the holiday spirit as described making the storyline even more magical and really made the story come to life. I loved how she was able to brilliantly change her voice so you knew exactly who was talking or thinking.
I very much enjoyed this story. The characters were well-developed. The story quickly pulled me in and kept me reading until the end. If you enjoy Christmas stories that make you feel warm & cozy, you will also enjoy this book!
