I read this book in one day and was sad when I finished it. It’s more of a soap opera than Grisham’s typical legal drama, but the island setting was great as well as the well-developed characters.
A good relaxing read that makes you think but is still enjoyable. Great characters and location to pick up the history/ interest of a summer beach setting with a new twist.
I’ve read most of John Grisham’s books, but Camino Island is not your typical legal thriller. My favorite parts were the meetings with the author friends. Absolutely hilarious and a hitting a little too close to home.
Have not read John Grisham for a while but I enjoyed this book which was a departure from his normal legal thrillers. It grabbed my interest immediately and was very fast reading,
Camino Island was interesting to me because it was not a typical lawyer story. Grisham has invented a completely different venue and characters. The reader is kept guessing whether the book dealer has the stolen manuscripts or not.
Different John Grisham. But, I like John Grisham, what an I say?
Very good Grisham!
Love John Grisham and this book is different from his usual courtroom drama.
Little suspense
It was a good story line and I liked the suspense. Great book
A little different than his other books but I felt the same way at the end – like he was coming up on deadline and had to get the book done. Ending was abrupt.
It was ok. The stories that hold you to the end are what I loved about John Grisham. Some of this seems to be missing these days.
Just love most of John Grisham’s book. This one has a good twist, easy and enjoyable read. This one did not have a dark side, more OH, did not see that coming
Another winner for Grisham.
Not like Grisham’s normal southern lawyer tales.
Grisham always finds a way to take a unique perspective on the legal system. This one is a combo legal – romantic novel based in the Florida Keys.
John Grisham is a story teller, need more be said?
Good read. Different from most of Grisham’s book since the major characters are not lawyers
Different subject matter from his usual…really enjoyed it!
John Gresham is through man.
