A delightfully funny novel packing a clever punch, from the author of the New York Times bestselling Julie and Romeo
A mom in her early fifties, Clover knows she no longer turns heads the way she used to, and she’s only really missed when dinner isn’t on the table on time. Then Clover wakes up one morning to discover she’s invisible–truly invisible. She panics even more when her family doesn’t … panics even more when her family doesn’t notice a thing. Her best friend immediately observes the change, which relieves Clover immensely–she’s not losing her mind after all –but she is crushed by the realization that neither her husband nor her children ever truly look at her. She was invisible even before she knew it.
Clover discovers that there are others like her, women of a certain age who seem to have disappeared. As she uses her invisibility to get to know her family and her town better, Clover leads the way in helping invisible women become recognized and appreciated no matter what their role.

Loved Jeanne Rays take on what is an all too familiar experience for women over 50
I thought it was just ok.
After turning 55 I often felt invisible. These ladies are invisible due to the meds they took for menopause. I love the school bus scene. Bullies on the bus are disciplined by the invisible mothers!
Outstanding read, no matter your age!
I loved it! Imagine finding yourself invisible and no one noticing! This book will amuse you and make you think. I highly recommend it.
Original story idea centered on women finding and fulfilling their strength and their personal destiny.
This book was very entertaining but sad in a way. Older women do become invisible to their family and friends at a certain time in life. This book puts a new spin on a very common but realistic situation.
Clover Hobart has to reassess her life as she turns invisible and her family doesn’t notice. Different than anything else I have read, there were some very clever ideas. I raced through this book but only gave it 4stars because the ending felt weak and disappointing, but I really enjoyed the first 90%.
Humorous, well-written, and close to home for many women–myself included!
Sometimes I feel as if I am becoming invisible as I age. This book is a whimsical view on this subject
it has been a few weeks since i finished this book on my Kindle. my memory of it is fading, but i do remember that i enjoyed it quite a bit and it’s premise is very true!
The title caught my attention because I have always said “You’re invisible when you’re over 50”! This story followed that, but took it to reality. It was fun, a bit far fetched. Fun book to read.
As a 50+ year old woman, the “invisible” concept is one I understand. This book gave a spin to the real invisibility of “mature” women. A bit on the unbelievable, whimisical side, but entertaining none the less.
It started on a good premise – women being taken for granted and therefore “invisible .” The rest is just too far fetched, even to be funny.
Very clever story, a light read that is also original.
What a novel novel. Very enjoyable read. exploration of invisibility in a realistic, modern setting. Makes a number of valid points about an amazing array of topics.
