The Poseidon team are hard-bodied, fiercely competitive Navy SEALs. But when a sensitive mission goes disastrously wrong, three of the team’s finest will have to trust their hearts and instincts to uncover the truth… No strings. No questions. Just pleasure. For a few blissful days, Lieutenant Commander Nic Savino is enjoying a wild fling with the sexiest stranger he’s ever laid eyes–or any … eyes–or any other body part–on. It’s almost enough to make the stalwart SEAL let down his guard for once. Until he learns that assistant US attorney Darby Raye–his Darby–is heading an investigation designed to destroy him…and Poseidon. The gorgeous eyes that Darby spent her nights gazing into are now glaring at her across a courtroom. This case could build her career, but if Nic’s not a traitor, then he’s being framed by forces powerful enough to eliminate every obstacle in their way. And the tentative trust she and Nic are rebuilding–as well as their very lives–could become collateral damage…

Fabulous finale to a terrific series! I’ve loved every book I’ve read in this series, but this was beyond good. They just keep getting better.
I have read a plenty of Tawny Weber books and I like her style of writing. She writes some of the smoothest seduction scenes, her characters are well thought out, and the plot is energetic and intriguing. And in the whole bunch that I have read, in my opinion, Call To Redemption is her best story so far.
First, the plot is built so well. The prologue catches the attention and brings the tension and fear, or sort of worry, into the prime. Then comes the seduction of mind, body, and soul where the romance gets its spark, where the feelings have time to linger, where the foundation for the relationship is laid out. And just when you are all warm and fuzzy with the sweetness and fervor of the allurement, the plot twist takes you back to the intense military world, to the suspicion of all your peers around you, to the danger of losing your career, your life as you know it, the new budding romance that was developing, even fatality is a possibility.
The story has much more military life and protocol than the previous books, and I loved how thought out and realistic the details were. The loyalty, the brotherhood, the willingness to risk your life for your mission, for your team, and for your country is underlined in every action the team takes.
There was just more of everything in this story. Ms. Weber even intensified the emotions and seduction of the previous powerful fierceness. The conflicts between the main characters were heartbreaking, yet believable and true.
Lieutenant Commander Nic Savino has been a strong secondary character in the previous novels in the series, yet here we get to learn him intimately. He shows what makes him tick, his loyalties, his perfectionism, the sacrifices he has made, and the responsibilities he carries. He is a man who is easy to admire and look up to, he is his own worst critique, his code of conduct is unapproachable. And that is why the accusations of the criminal actions cut so deep.
Assistant US attorney Darby Raye has a lot of common with Nic. She aims for the best, the brightest, and the perfection of everything she does. Work is what she is living for, her career is what is worth her time and energy, rest will have to come later. Until Nic comes to her life, and everything changes. She is challenged in a way that will stretch her loyalties and professionalism, yet the risks she is taking might just be worth it.
Call To Redemption has delightful storytelling with sharp, strong, and vivid images, compelling characters that you want to root for, emotions that range from dread and terror to glee and thrill, a captivating and enthralling tale that was hard to put down.

4.75 stars– CALL TO REDEMPTION is the third full-length instalment in Tawny Weber’s contemporary, adult TEAM POSEIDON romantic, military suspense series focusing on the Navy’s elite Poseidon SEAL team. This is Lieutenant Commander Dominic ‘Nic’ Savino, and assistant US attorney Darby Raye’s story line. CALL TO REDEMPTION can be read as a stand alone but for back story and cohesion, I recommend reading the series in order as there is an on-going premise throughout.
SOME BACKGROUND: When their latest mission in Afghanistan goes horribly wrong, leaving one member injured and one man missing and presumed dead, the Team comes under suspicion when military secrets are discovered in the hands of the enemy. Betrayal and vengeance find the SEALs facing court martial including the take down of their Lieutenant Commander and the dismantling of the Poseidon Team.
Told from dual third person perspectives (Darby and Nic) CALL TO REDEMPTION follows the building relationship between Lieutenant Commander Dominic ‘Nic’ Savino, and assistant US attorney Darby Raye. While on vacation in Hawaii, Nic Savino will come face to face with his future, a woman who offers a no-strings attached vacation affair, but a woman that will call to our hero’s heart. Upon his return home, Nic Savino will discover that Darby Raye, the woman with whom he was falling in love ,is a member of the JAG’s office trying to destroy his team and his career. What ensues is the search for the truth, the build up of information, and the potential fall-out if their continuing relationship becomes public knowledge.
CALL TO REDEMPTION and the POSEIDON series is a story of jealousy, betrayal, and revenge; a intelligent tale about the take down of one of the US Navy SEALs most elite and powerful Teams; and a story of redemption, friendship, vindication and love. Searching for the truth, our heroine will uncover some potential heart breaking information for the man that she loves, while his Team ferrets the people responsible at the top The premise is intriguing, suspense filled and hopeful; the characters are strong, charismatic and colorful; the romance is seductive and forbidden. CALL TO REDEMPTION reads like the final instalment in Tawny Weber’s amazing TEAM POSEIDON series-here’s hoping for many more stories to come.
I received a complimentary copy of this book and loved it SO MUCH, I purchased a copy!!!
I just love this book. It along with all of the Team Poseidon novels are just fantastic. I am going to read them all again but back-to-back this time. Ms. Weber has such a gift of storytelling that you feel that you are right there in the middle of the scene. It really plays out like a movie. I have looked forward to this story for a long time. The wait was definitely worth it. I highly recommend this novel if you love military and mystery romances!!!
Call to Redemption by Tawny Weber
Team Poseidon #3
Two career driven people sent off to Kauai to take a break find one another and settle in for a bit of sizzling flirtation and steamy nights. The agreement is to not share last names, jobs or allow any future between them to creep into the interlude. Nic and Darby THOUGHT they were smart and level headed enough to manage to remain string-free but…perhaps not. AND when the two later come face to face in court with Nic being tried for treason? Well, let’s just say things get even more interesting.
In this book the bad guys are already either in jail or soon to will be there as the mystery of who is the mastermind behind the previous books happenings is finally revealed. Team Poseidon is filled with hunky alpha males that may or may not have their stories told at some point in the future. In this story Nic and Darby do eventually find a way to have a career but also have more.
Thank you to the author for the ARC – This is my honest review.

Call to Redemption is the 3rd book in Team Poseidon series an another awesome well written book by Tawny Weber with lots of sexy time, suspense, twists, turns, driven individuals and a deep understanding of what being the best is all about! !
Darby, a US attorney and Dominic, Lt. Commander in the Navy Seals, met while vacationing in Hawaii and decide to have a no strings 7 day fling while not divulging their full names or what they do for a living. What turns out to be an all-consuming fling comes abruptly to an end when Dominic is called back to work and has to leave at a moment’s notice, he leave word at the front desk for Darby and a message on her hotel phone. Darby decides to cut her vacation short and returns home to given a case against a Lieutenant Commander Dominic “Nic” Savino, who is accused of treason. When they meet in court, Nic is totally surprised at who the prosecutor is but she already knew who he was…..
While they both work to find justice will they also find a way to resume what they started in Hawaii?? Bring the right person up on the charges for treason?? And find their HEA or will all the obstacles keep them apart??
WOW! Ok, I read Call to Engage and thought that was awesome, but this one? Hits it out of the ballpark too!
Darby is on a “forced” vacation – she’s an 80 hour a week lawyer who needs to show her superiors that she can balance her home and work life to prove she’s worthy of a promotion. To do this, she’s taken a 7 day vacation to Hawaii where she meets Dominic and decides a no strings fling is just what she needs, and Dominic is happy to oblige. They both agree to no revealing of any current personal information, in fact, they don’t even share their last names!
But in a weird twist of faith, once they both return to the reality of their day-to-day lives, Darby turns out to be a US attorney assigned to a case against Lieutenant Commander Dominic “Nic” Savino, leader of the Poseidon team of Navy SEALs, who is accused of treason.
This story has many twists and turns, whether it’s Darby and Nic each working hard for justice, or whether they can continue to build a relationship when faced with so many obstacles.
This is a well written, suspenseful story where both main characters shine! Darby is a sexy, intelligent, capable woman. Nic is the seasoned leader of the best of the best. That speaks for itself. They compliment one another well both physically and mentally. Both are career driven, both want to see justice served, but at what cost?call
Can their relationship survive? There are so many layers, so much going on here…this will definitely draw you in and keep you wondering until the very last page!
I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy of this book, however, this is my honest review.

Fantastic conclusion to the series. In the first two books, Call to Honor and Call to Engage, we saw the team deal with a mission gone wrong and the fallout as they began to suspect someone in their midst committed treason. As they searched for the truth, they quickly realized that they could only trust their own team members. Though they caught the immediate offender, it was also clear that there was someone else pulling the strings, and they want that person. This becomes even more critical as the book’s prologue opens with their team leader, Nic Savino, about to be charged with treason.
From there, the book goes back two months, to a resort in Hawaii. Darby Raye, an attorney for the government, is on the first vacation she’s had in years. It isn’t her idea. Darby is a workaholic, perfectly content with the idea that her work is her life. But her boss made it clear that if she wants that next promotion, he needs to see that she has balance in her life. Darby is antsy and has no idea what to do with herself if she isn’t working. I loved her phone conversation with her secretary, who encourages her to let loose for a bit. There’s a man at the bar who catches her eye, but she’s reluctant to do anything about it. She’s just ended a relationship with a fellow attorney, a Navy lawyer who wasn’t at all pleased when she broke things off. The man she is staring at is Nic, who is also on a forced vacation, while the rest of his team looks into who is behind the pending charges against him. He’s equally antsy, unhappy at being apart from his team and unable to work on clearing his name. When he sees Darby sitting by herself, he is immediately attracted and not shy about letting her know it.
Their attraction sets Darby and Nic on the path of a mutually agreeable fling. The only condition they have is for complete anonymity. They will stick to first names only, with no discussion of families, friends, pasts, work, etc. I loved seeing these two workaholic people relax and escape from their stresses. Though both agreed that this was a short-term affair with no emotions involved, just intense physical intimacy, neither can prevent the feelings that worm their way past their barriers. I loved how their connection deepened and their sensitivity to the other’s moods. In spite of their intentions, there were a couple of emotionally charged moments when the past intruded on the present. It wasn’t long before each admitted to themselves that they’d like to see where it would go if they were to continue to see each other. But fate intervenes before either can pursue the thought, and Nic is called back to duty. When Darby finds out who and what he is, she is devastated, and returns home to drown her sorrows in work. Fate isn’t done with Nic and Darby though. Once she is back, Darby is assigned to a new case. She is to look at the evidence provided and decided if one Dominic Savino is guilty of treason. She is stunned to discover that it is “her” Nic, and reluctant to believe that the man she knew in Hawaii is capable of such heinous crimes.
The suspense of the story is outstanding as we see events from both Nic’s and Darby’s points of view. Nic and his team race against time to trace Ramsey’s traitorous actions to their source before Nic is convicted of a crime he didn’t commit. I loved seeing each team member use their unique talents to help the man they respect and admire the most. On the other side of the aisle, we have Darby, who is under a great deal of pressure to bring charges of treason against Nic. Much of that pressure comes from her ex, who is the Navy lawyer who is pushing hard for the charges, something that doesn’t sit well with Darby. I loved her independence and determination to do what was right, in spite of that pressure. There was a fantastic scene with Darby and the members of Poseidon. I loved seeing her hold her own with these men as they discovered that they all wanted the same thing – to find the truth. The intensity built as the day of reckoning approached. The final confrontation had me on the edge of my seat as the tangled web of treachery unraveled. Desperation on the part of the bad guy put Darby in extreme danger, leaving it up to Nic and the men of Poseidon to come to the rescue in heart-pounding action. Darby is no damsel in distress, though, and gets her own satisfying part in the proceedings. I loved the ending, from a funny yet sweet scene with Darby and the men of Poseidon to Nic and Darby finally opening up about their feelings and fears.
The entire series has been excellent, with fantastic intrigue, suspense, action, and believable romantic relationships that came out of desperate circumstances. Though this story arc is finished, I would love to see stories for the rest of the men of Poseidon.
